Twin Girls

Jamie Roberson - 08:45pm Jan 19, 2005 EST

On 10/01/04 I was 33 weeks pregnant and I went into pre-term labor. I was worried about whether my girls would be ok. I was scared asking myself are they going to be ok if they are born this early. Well they stop my labor, but the following Sunday late at night, the most active baby stopped moving. I went to the OBGYN on Monday, October 4, 2004 and he said well I guess you are having babies today. I did well until it got close to for me to actually go into the operating room. The girls were born 6 weeks early at 3 lbs 12.5 ounces and 3 lbs 10 ounces. They were in the NICU one for 13 days and the other for 15 days. They were perfect. They did not need tubes or anything for very long. They had no tubal feedings.
The only tears I could shed were tears of joy at how well they were doing. Especially since they were the only babies in NICU that did not need tubal feedings. Everyone asked when you went home was it difficult to not bring your babies home. All I could say is that I knew they needed to be there and I was ok.

Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Florida to wonderful care of us and our babies.

Thanks.

Jamie
