Re: new mom of premature twins
Hi there. I'm new on this site, too. Like you, I also had a totally normal pregnancy that ended in spontaneous preterm labor. I was at 31 weeks, and the doctors also thought my baby seemed older than she was - lucky in a way, isn't it? Are your girls still in the NICU? My daughter is now 10 months old and doing great. It's almost hard to tell she was a preemie. Good luck to you and your family.

Re: new mom of premature twins
our twins were moved out of the NICU into an intermediate care nusery a week and a half ago. They are doing so well now. The nurses put them together in the same iso unit and they love it. It is so cute to see them hold hands and stare at each other. They just started breastfeeding on Monday, they are still learning but you have to start somewhere. Both girls are putting on more than an ounce a day and the doctors are thrilled. Now we just have to wait until they reach atleast 4.5 pounds before they can come home. Thanks for the encouragement, there are some days that I feel they will never come home and I will have to visit them in the hospital for the rest of their lives. Glad your daughter is doing so well now also!! We just got the lab results back and they did find that one of the placentas had an infection and that was why I went into premature labor.
