MY BIG BOY 3MTHS OLD

Wow Its been alittle while. Ace is 3mths old now and is about 11lbs. He was 9lbs 15oz last time weighed but its been a few weeks and I no he grows constantly. Mason has gotten used to having Ace around and understands he has to play on his own sometimes. Ace is very active and likes to flap his arms and legs. He follows things with his eyes and best of all he smiles like crazy when he is talked to. Even tho he is different from other babies his age I know that he is developing and learning like he should be. Thanks for Listening.

5 WEEKS OLD

Ace is growing like a weed. He went from 4lbs 9oz on 6-20 to 5lbs 7oz on 6-27. Thats almost a pouind in one week! I just love everything about him. Mason on the otherhand is still trying to get used to shareing his Mommy. He is very gentle with Ace and I know he just cant wait until Ace is big enough to play. He dont like having to play on his own everytime Moms feeding Ace and Dads at work. And the bad thing about that is Dad works outta town alot and he was gone the whole week. But things are going really smooth and even tho it wasnt planned we would never want things any other way. I will post more pics when they get downloaded.

Ace Michael is 2wks old today. He was moved to an open crib last night. And I am just so amazed because Ace has drank his last five feedings all from a bottle in about 10min each. Which is 36cc every 3hrs. He was getting bottle fed twice a day but the last two days it has been whenever he is awake at feeding time and he shows signs. (Like sucking on his tiny fingers) I had no idea he would be doing this well. I was also wondering how do I find a certain persons Blog. I would like to be able to look at the blogs of the people who leave comments but am not sure how to find them. And thank you to all. It sounds like a wonderful group of people here!

THE BEGINNING

Ace Michael Stackhouse was born on May 23, 2007. He was born at just 32wks, 8wks early. I had an abrupted placenta and needed a emergency c-section. He was born at Gerber Memorial in Fremont, MI and was transfered immediatly to NICU at Devos Childrens Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. He is now only 12 days old. He weighed 3lbs 15oz when born, went down to 3lbs 10oz and is now back up to 3lbs 14oz. He was on CPAP for 3 days, and a canula for 6 days. He also required caffiene for a few days after getting of the canula. His breathing has been doing good. Ace was on an IV for 8 days. He had high bilirubin and only needed phototherapy for 1 day. He has been gaining weight and drinking from a bottle is what we are working on. He was only drinking 5-10cc and the rest of the 34cc would be put in his tube through his mouth. The last few days he has been drinking 20cc to all 34cc through a bottle. We feed from the bottle twice a day. Ace is so fragile but I just know he has made so much progress in this little bit of time. Thats why he's my little big boy!
