SHARE Union is coming SOON!

You’ve been asking …. And now I have the SCOOP!

Fall is not just about pumpkin pie and silly costumes. This wonderful season is also becoming synonymous with SHARE Union! A beautiful time to meet friends from the site, show scrapbooks of our families, share meals together, and also learn more about the March of Dimes. Talk about a lot of bang for your buck!

This year I hope an incredible number of you join us in Washington, D.C. the weekend of October 20th and 21st. Many Share friends we speak with daily are planning to attend, and lots of informative and fun events are planned!

Financially speaking:

You pay for your flights and rooms. MOD pays for meals at the hotel.

A block of rooms will be secured at a discount rate for Share participants.

There is a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel.

For cheaper rates, I would suggest booking your flight soon.

Dress casually! Think comfy!

Here is a tentative schedule:

On October 20th:

Workshops are being planned that highlight March of Dimes History, Volunteering, Mission Families, Preemie Awareness Day, and other important opportunities happening in your communities. Getting involved is a GREAT way to support an organization that we already love.

This day will end with a beautiful ceremony honoring our NICU survivors and remembering our angels. What a powerful way to share our precious children with each other! (Bring tissue!)

On October 21st:

Scrap Booking and Journaling! Beginners and Fanatics alike will come together for an awesome scrap booking session. Don’t worry about bringing supplies. Just bring your books if you’d like to share them. If you are new at scrapping, bring yourself…and a few photos (I’d bring copies, or ones that you don’t mind getting cut!) Supplies will be furnished for you.

Also, there will be workshops on Family Teams and SHARE. GREAT FUN and GREAT Information to take home with you!

Lunch will be provided – plan to leave after 2pm EST.

This event promises to be a treasured time that brings together the SHARE support community for fun in the same *real world* hotel. Now is a GREAT time to plan your trip, find your baby sitter, book your flight, and pack your suitcase! P.S. DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!!!
