The staff that will be there are largely the ones that already work with me behind the scenes (some you you see, some you don't). This, of course, includes Darcy and I. It also includes my supervisor Judi and my supervisor's supervisor Scott.....so make sure you say how wonderful I am. Oh yeah, you can also say you like Darcy too....she's not bad.

Becky ~ Things will get started around noon on Saturday so plan on being there around 11 for registration. Some of the others are going sightseeing on Friday. That might be a good idea if you can swing the room for another night. I hope to see you there!!!!

Question, do we call the Marriott and book a room and say were with the Share Union or since we filled out the form and gave our roommates, do they just hold a room for us?

Kelly -
After you filled out the form indicating you were coming to Share Union...you should have gotten an e-mail. In this case - I know you did...cuz it was from me!
In that e-mail there was a hotel registration link. You need to be sure you filled that out, and indicated who you would be rooming with. If you did that - your room is secured. I will get be getting a list of all those who have reserved rooms...and will double check that you've got a room. But as long as you filled out the registration form, including the roommate part, you are fine. Denise

Just to clarify so there is no confusion: James, Denise and I aren't making reservations. You are each making reservations for yourselves at the March of Dimes Rate (rather than "ShareUnion"). Following the directions and links on the email should guide you through the process. Good question! Here is another question I've had via IM the last couple of days. Should I fly into Reagan National or Dulles International airport?
You can fly into either. However, the hotel/conference rooms are practically across the street from Reagan National Airport. There is a free shuttle from Reagan to the hotel. The ShareUnion tkes place IN the hotel. If your city doesn't fly into Reagan you can definitely still arrive in DC through Dulles. Plan to take a cab and pay cab fares from Dulles to the hotel.

I will be getting the list of all who have filled out the registration form, and I will compare it to the list of Share attendees. If you have filled out the registration form - you will have a room reserved.
I will send you an e-mail (individually) once I've received the list (early next week) that shows who has registered.
Please note: Filling out the form saying you are coming to Share Union does NOT secure your room. You will need to fill out the hotel registration form (that you got via e-mail) to secure a room. That is also where you will list your roommates.
Make sense? If not, just shoot me an e-mail or IM and I'll try to clarify better.

Okay stupid question. I will be landing Saturday morning at 8:30. Will I be able to go to my room first, change my clothes and freshen up before meeting you people and you all thinking I'm a stinky lady or should I come prepared to hang out?
I know stupid question, but I can't give the wrong first impression, plus I have to wear some fantastic shoes. LOL I know stupid.

There will be a lot of people checking out of the hotel on Saturday. ShareUnion happens to start on the heel of another sizable convention, so once all those lovely convention-goers check out you should start being able to check-in. But since Share registration starts at 11 and check-in is later afternoon, you might want to wear the cute shoes.

The workshops go from about 12 to a little before 5. Then the Remembrance Ceremony starts at 6. Hope this helps.
