I have a request that Denise's cheescake recipe be included in the cookbook. I mean, it wouldn't be a Share event if we didn't eat cheesecake and covet forks.

Never fear Darcy - I'll put the cheesecake recipe in the cookbook. As far as actually making it and providing forks - I can't promise that. But the recipe I can do!

Here is the truth..I can't cook well at all but I do make one dessert that has been asked for many many times. I got the recipe from a NUN and she told me that it was called Better Than S*x. I SWEAR TO GOD!!!You can name it whatever you would like...
    One pound cake
Two small tubs of cool whip
one bag of Snickers bars..the snack size are easiest
One large box of Chocolate pudding.
    1.Make the chocolate pudding
    2.Cube the pound cake
3.chop up all the snickers into small chunks.
    4. Layer the pound cake..followed by the cool whip..followed by the chocolate pudding and then the snickers. Repeat another time...chill and serve.
Then tell me if it deserves the name Sister Nancy told me.

    Rainbow Cookies (seven layer cookies)

    1 5/8 cups powdered sugar
    8 ounces almond paste
    7/8 cup shortening
    6 eggs
    1 1/2 teaspoons orange flavor
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 1/2 cups flour
    Red and green food coloring
    8 ounces rasberry preserves
6 ounces chocolate (semisweet or milk)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl mix almond paste and sugar until well blended. Mix in shortening, blending well. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in orange flavor and vanilla. Gradually add flour to mixture ufltfi well blended.
Divide batter into three equal portions and place in three smaller bowls. Tint one batter green with a drop or two of the green food coloring, the second batter red with a drop or two of red food coloring, and leave the last batter plain. Line the bot tom and sides of a 10 3/4 x 7 1/2 inch rectangular baking pan with wax paper. Spread plain batter evenly in pan and bake at 375 for fifteen minutes. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Gently invert pan onto a wire rack and remove layer from pan. Peel off wax paper anthdiscard. Re-line bottom and sides of pan with new wax paper arid spread green batter into pan as you did the plain. Bake as you did the plain, remove from oven, cool slightly, and remove from pan. Re-line pan and repeat procedure with the red layer. When all layers have been baked and cooled, place the plain layer on a cookie sheet and spread with half the preserves. Top with the red layer and spread with remaining preserves. Top with green layer. It is now necessary to weigh the layers down so they stick together. Take the pan that you baked the layers in, and place it on top of the assembled layers. Fill the pam with some heavy objects —- the heavier the better -- and let layers rest several hours, preferably overnight. After letting layers rest, remove pan with weights in and place assembled layers in refrigerator. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, and when fully melted, remove layers from refrigerator. Spread half the chocolate evenly over the green layer. Refrigerate for a half hour or so until the chocolate hardens completely. When chocolate is hard, remove from refrigerator, invert layers onto another cookie sheet so that the plain layer is now face up, and spread remaining melted chocolate over the plain layer. Refrigerate until chocolate hardens, then remove from refrigerator and slice into individual cookies. (Make 4 cuts x 12 cuts) Makes 48 cookies.

They are a bit involved but delish

    Chicken Wing Dip

    HOLY COW, is this GOOD!

    8oz brick Cream Cheese
2c Chicken - parboiled & shredded (you can also use canned chicken; it tastes EXACTLY the same!)
    1c Ranch Dressing
1c Red Hot - more/less depending on heat wanted (I use more! )
1c Shredded Cheese - any variety, but I use cheddar normally

Combine all ingredients w/electric mixer (a food processor works too, but it makes it VERY fine; I like it w/some substance) to make sure mixed together well.
Bake 35-45 minutes at 350 degrees. Stir once about half way through to make sure all the cheese melts. Let sit 15-20 minutes. Serve with Tostitos Scoops or bite size tortillas.

(This is a GREAT party food - guys & gals LOVE it!)
