Roll Call

In the past, the Indiana Chapter of the March of Dimes has observed PAM and PAD by holding a Prematurity Roll Call in downtown Indianapolis. This year, we hope to reach more people by holding a Virtual Roll Call. We will do this by creating an email with the names of those children born prematurely with their first name, weeks gestation, city, birth and death (if applicable) date. As the email is forwarded on, we hope more names will be added. We will also have a Powerpoint presentation attached with the same kind of information, but also containing then and now pictures. This will help put faces on prematurity. If you would like to participate, please let me know via email with the child’s information and pictures if you’d like to participate in that portion of the roll call, as well as something stating your permission to use the image. If you’d rather just have your name added to the virtual roll call, send me that information as well and I’ll add it to the upfront email blast. We only have room for about 50 photos in the powerpoint, so please get back to me as soon as possible with that information. We’re hoping this roll call will help educate people on the pain of prematurity as well as honor those who have suffered. Please forward this on if you know someone who would be interested in participating, especially in the powerpoint. The actual Virtual Roll Call will be sent out on National Prematurity Awareness Day (November 13), so I’ll need all information by the 11th. Please send the email to jlesh@apsllc.com and put Prematurity in the Subject. If I am unable to put your child in the video due to lack of space, I will do my best to notify you ahead of time.
