Trying again with Clomid
mammabaehr - 07:44pm Jan 14, 2008 ESTMy twins were born Oct 25 2007 at 24 1/2 wks. My son passed the next day and my daughter passed Dec 20 2007. She was 8 wks old. My husband and I have wanted to try again right away even before my daughter passed. My doctor didn't seem to think we needed to wait any longer. I go to pick up my RX for Clomid tomorrow. I should be starting it in a few days. I'm scared, excited, nervous, anxious, and sad. I miss my babies terribly. But we want to try again so badly. Anyone have any positive stories about not waiting long before trying again? Thank you in advance.

Clomid?
I only used the 50 mg dosage but I think my OB lost track of how long I was on it, after I brought it to his attention he tried to switch me to Femera but I read the drug was not intended for fertility treatments it is a drug for breast cancer survivors and increased fertility is just a side effect, there also was a strong warning about birth defects so I never took Femera. I conceived my son the first month after I stopped taking the clomid. We will probably try again within the next year and I was wondering if I should try the clomid again or if it should only be taken once in your lifetime.

Clomid?: I only used the 50 mg dosage but I think my OB lost track of how long I was...
Re: Clomid?
I'm sorry, I think I misunderstood your question.
Yes, clomid can be taken again for future pregnancies. Usually your OB will start you on a low dose and if that doesn't work will continue to raise it. One I was at the highest dose and having no luck (although it helps 85% of women) I was referred to a fertility specialist, who identified a problem......and we went from there.
But yes, it is safe to use clomid again.
