"Walking Miracle"
AngelicTwin - 10:58pm May 8, 2008 ESTMy name is Troy.I am an Identical Twin & I was born in '72 with Hydrocephalus(Excess amount of fluid in the brain).My twin however was not born with this condition.I had 7 brain surguries by the time I was 4yrs. old.My twin has always been my best friend & stood by my side throughout our life.My mother was their with me through it all.I am now almost 36yrs. old & spent most of my childhood in the hospital & have had a total of 13 operations-10 of those were life-threatening.Yes-I AM A SURVIVOR!My family & friends call me a "WALKING MIRACLE!"I am so thankful for the "March Of Dimes" who helped save my life-for without their support & my families I would not be here today!My heart goes out to all the children on this beautiful planet of ours that are/were born with any medical condition/disability for I know the pain you're going through.Hang in there & be strong because I believe in miracles-For I Am One!

Welcome to Share!! I'm so glad to hear your story!! I agree with the name that your friends and family have given you. I'm sure that your brother was a great support system for you during these challenges. Thanks for sharing your inspirational story with us.
