Assisted Devices

We all hope that when we bring our child(ren) home from the hospital that they do not encounter any lasting effects caused by prematurity or from the birth defect diagnosis. However, for some, it unfortunately doesn't work out that way and some children struggle with accomplishing and reaching milestones without some sort of assisted device.

"Has anyone had experience with looking for a wheelchair?, Has anyone ever tried or heard of this specific type of spoon?, Does anyone have ideas on which eyeglasses will stay on my son without sliding down his nose?, My daughter tends to favor her right leg while walking, is there anything out there that can help strengthen her left leg?"

The answers to these questions are only some you may be able to find in this folder. Please feel free to post if you are in search of an assisted device mentioned to you by a family member, friend, or professional to get others' opinions or experience. The goal of this folder is to be able to educate ourselves on all of the options and assisted devices available to ensure our children's maximum potential and independence. If we pool our resources, education, and experience, our children will benefit.
