Welcome to Share.
I'm sorry you are having a rough time after your cerclauge. I didn't experience these symptoms after mine, but agree that calling your doctor is the best thing.

I know a bright red discharge is not good. Brown may mean left over debris from the cerclage that your body is finally flushing out. Although 4 weeks later sounds like a long time. My wife is going on three weeks with a cerclage and hasnt had that happen yet. Dont be afraid to call your OB. Thats what they get paid all the big bucks for. If it happens again bag it up and show them. Sounds fierce but hey, this is about your family. Good luck and I hope and pray all works out.

I completely understand the paranoia you are experiencing...I expereinced spotting throughout my last pregnancy with a cerclage. I even had some light red spotting, which always turned out to be nothing...that being said if you are very concerned I would push the issue with your doctor. Maybe they can do an u/s to make sure you aren't funneled to your stitch or make sure it is still in place.
I did not spot at all after my cerclage with my second child, but did with my third...cerclages are just like anything and are different each time. I encourage you to call your doctor if you don't feel better about it. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "swab"...do you mean the fetal fibronectin test?
Feel free to click on my name and then email through share if you need to chat more. I hope all is well.
Good luck!
