My Micro Preemie.

Jace's Mommy - 11:45am Mar 25, 2009 EST

My beautiful son Jace was born on 2-21-09. He was supposed to be here on 6-9-09, 16 weeks early. At first he was doing so well he was on just the nasal oxygen within days of his birth but then when he was 2 1/2 weeks old he took a nose dive. He has been having kind of a difficult time in the NICU. He somehow got an extremely rare infection that nobody in the hospital not to mention the NICU has ever seen. He seems like he is winning the battle with it. I don't think they wanted to scare us but I think we came close to losing him. So far he has no brain bleeding and his PDA is small. I want to be so happy and celebrate everything that is going well but I am terrified there is something just waiting around the corner to send him into another nose dive.
He's my only baby I can't have anymore, I am terrified of losing my little Jace. Has anybody else had a micro preemie who had a hard time in the NICU and pulled through? I am just so scared I need some type of hope.
