khloesmom - 04:35pm May 12, 2009 EST

Hi my name is crystal lam 26 and on December 27, 2008 gave birth to my first baby a beautiful little girl named Khloe but Khloe wasn't supposed to be due till April 18, 2009 she only weighed a pound and was diagnosed IUGR because I had high blood pressure she wasn't getting the nourishment she needed. Today my little miracle is 4 months old and weighs 6 pounds they tried to discharge her home on May 8, 2009 but on May 11 I took her back and she was re admitted. The few days she was home were extremly hard when Khloe gets upset if she isn't calmed right away she looses it I mean hysterical crying and once she gets to that point it's impossible to feed her and it is extremly hard to getr her calm again Iam wondering if anyone else has delt with this and what are somethings I could try to stop her meltdown before it starts. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I hope that your baby is doing much better. If you are still havind this problem, try swaddling and a dim light for your baby. I find that as a nurse in the newborn nursery. It usually helps.
