Looking For Ways To Help

FirstTimeGaMom - 05:53pm Jun 18, 2009 EST

Hello, I am a new mom of a beautiful baby girl that was born at 24 weeks, weighing 1lb, 9oz. She is not growing and developing normally. She received such wonderful care throughout her three month stay in the NICU. I was truly overwhelmed by the compassion of the doctors, nurses and therapists. You never expect something like that to happen to you, especially since my pregnancy was going along normally.

We were so blessed with our daughter and the care she received. I know that the medications and machines that helped her survive are because of the MOD. I need to give back in some way. I'm looking for ways to volunteer, raise money, awareness, etc. also on the job.

Welcome to Share and congratulations on your daughter!

If you go to the March of Dimes website (marchofdimes.com) you can type in your local zip code to find your local March of Dimes website. From there, you should be able to find a contact person and number where you can get in touch with someone to find out how you can volunteer in your area!! I'm glad that you're willing to help others by giving back!

Tracy
