tintori09 - 05:58pm Jul 3, 2009 ESTWELL LETS SEE WHERE DO I START MY NAME IS ASHLEY AND HAVE NICU BABY MY LITTLE ONE WAS BORN AT 25 WEEKS OLD AND STILL TO THIS DAY I DONT KNOW WHY SHE WAS BORN EARLY. SHE WAS ONLY 1 POUND 9 OZ WHEN SHE WAS BORN I HELD FOR 1 WEEK IN MY BIRTH CANAL BUT SHE WAS DETERMIND TO COME I HAD TO BE ON BED REST THAT WHOLE WEEK WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS I DIDNT KNOW THAT I HAD DIOLATED AND HER AND HER WATER BAG SLIPPED IN MY BIRTH CANAL
IT BREAKS MY HEART BECAUSE I MISS HER AND I WISH I COULD TAKE HER HOME BUT DOCTORS SAY IT WILL BE A WHILE
I WENT BACK TO WORK SO I MISS HER EVEN MORE I FEEL LIKE IM NEGLECTING HER. AND IM TRYING REALLY HARD TO GET OVER THIS DEPRESSION STAGE I FEEL LIKE I DID ALL THIS WORK AND WENT HOME EMPTY HANDED BUT

Welcome to share, i am sorry about your early birth. I also had a baby in the nicu and I had to quit my job because I was so afraid to leave my baby,Natalie is now 10 months and I am still afraid of leaving her I am a stay at home mom now, it has been hard financially for me big time its not easy, i give you lots of credit for being strong and going back to work,dont worry while your baby is at the nicu shes in the best care besides you can always call to check your baby's status. good luck on your little girl she will be home with you soon

Welcome to Share. The NICU is such a roller coaster and your emotions are all over the place. Just remember that your daughter is in the best place for her health. I hope that she continues to improve, keep us updated.
