mommy of 2 angels twins one lost at 8 weeks the 2nd born at 17 weeks gestation - 07:31am Nov 20, 2009 EST

Although I am not on here often I would like to share my story to give hope to those who are just starting out. After losing twins in 2007 I finally got pregnant in March of 2008. After a very rough pregnancy my daughter Sophia was born at 27weeks 6days. Shw spent 76 days in NICU. She was doing great until she was off oxygen within a month then all of a sudden she showed signs of NEC and had pneumonia. She recovered within 10 days of antibiotics and was on TPN and Lipids for a while and another 6 weeks later she came home on an apnea monitor. She suffers from reflux where she is still having a problem with it but that is the only thing we are battling and I am thankful. One yr ago today we brought her home after 76 days in the NICU. She is now 14 months old and doing great. She is starting to walk and talking a little bit eats like a big girl even though she has no teeth...LOL. She is my miracle baby. I just wanted to share some pics from the past year and I hope that all of you are doing well. And to those who are just beginning the journey there is hope...
