P17 shot tip

Allison129 - 12:05pm Dec 9, 2009 EST

I am getting P17 shots and I have often read on here that people experience pain when getting the shot. It is a thick oil like consistency But..after receiving several at this point--one a week for the past 7 weeks... I've found that if you take the vial of progesterone and warm it up ( in your hands or arm pit --where ever!!) It helps so much!! The one time it really stung going in I didn't think to do this. But since I've made sure it's warm it hardly hurts at all. If you get a lot of irritation after getting the shot make sure they do it in a fattier area. (with my growing butt I seem to have lots more of that .

Anyway, thought I'd share my experience in case anyone else is getting these.

So far so good. Cervix still measuring over 4cm... i guess I'll never know why my baby Max came so early. I miss him so much. But now I have a little hope back for his brother still growing at 24 weeks 3 days.
