Please reply!! Pregnant again after a 23 wkr...need some advice please!!
Kaileesmomma09 - 04:23pm Dec 21, 2009 ESTHi everyone my name is Katlin and i am new to Share. I absolutly love this website even though i just signed on yesterday. I have already gotten some great advice but i just wanted more. LOL. Ummm i had my daughter at 23 weeks...they said my membranes ruptured probably due to stress. Now i am about 7 weeks pregnant and very scared. I do not know how to go about preventing this one from being to early. I have heard of the P17 shots as well as a cerclage. Which at my last check up (before i was prego again) my doctor had mentioned these for the next time i got pregnant. I am also scared because i cant see my ob until i get medicad and i do not know how long that will take. When are the shots and cerclages usually given? There is also the scare of a miscarriage. Please everyone reply to this and talk to me. I am only 18 and have gone through so much in the past year.

Thank you so much for replying. It means a lot to me to hear from peolpe on here. I know my doctor had mentioned these a few months ago because iof what happened. I want to do what ever is possible to make this one to full term. Im so scared and every little thing that happens with my body scares me now that i know im pregnant. Like today i have been having some pains in my uterine area and its scaring the mess outta me. Is that normal?? Yes i need so badly to get my insurance so that i can get these prevenative measures set up to be done. Would i be considered high risk pregnancy now?

I would imagine what you are feeling is normal...being that early there are typically a lot of pains in that area, plus since your baby is so young your body is probably not 100% from being pregnant before. I say that because my youngest was 12 months when I got pregnant and I know my body was not 100%...that being said, the best thing is to call your doctor if you're worried. Taht's what we pay them for!
