Low Progesterone / Low estrogen - 33 years old

feebee45 - 10:28am Feb 1, 2010 EST

Hello,

I am 33 years old and now wanting to have a child. I had a period that was completely normal and regular (w/o help of birth control pills) my entier life, until I turned 25. I had tried to take a birth control pill (yaz i think), for three months. My periods were so out of wack, i stopped taking this pill. It was near this time, then my period disappeared and never came back. I still do not have my period. I have been to so many doctors about this and no one has been able to fix the problem. I have tried accupuncture - that did not work either. I see a reproductive endocrinologist that says - when im ready to really pull the trigger - we have to do invitro. I was told this just last week. I just feel like there has to be a solution to this.

Through blood tests - they tell me my hormone levels are that of a 12 year old. Progesterone and estrogen. None are having a dominance over the other. They are just all low. i do NOT have PCOS. although i do have polycistic ovaries.

I do have a pituitary adenoma they found in all the digging of this. it is NOT a prolactinoma - it's non secreting micro adenoma. But this endo doctor says it must be what is causing the low hormone levels. There was no way to "test" to confirm this. It is just speculation.

has anyone had similar situation? I would love to find a natural way to have a child.
