Pumping frustration too

Hi Brocksmom06. I am not taking Reglan, but I was given Donperidon...I am on day 5 and it has help a little. My baby was born at 23weeks 1lbs 3oz. He is in the NICU and doing well on the rollacoaster ride..today we were up, yesterday we were down. My pumping has not being very succesful but at almost 1ml...is enough for now for what my baby needs now! Good Luck with Reglan, let me know if it works...mine has helped.

4-34 weekers (now 15, 13, 11, & 18mos.) and 26 week twins (14 mos)

pumping

I took Motillium, (I think it is the domperidone) It took about 2 weeks to start working, then my supply nearly doubled... I was taking fenugreek, doing the mothers milk tea, and pumping every 2 hours for a Looooonnng time.. I was able to produce enough to keep my twins on strictly breastmilk until they were nearly 4 months old, then they switched to 1/2 breastmilk with HMF and 1/2 high calorie formula... Drink as much as you can also.. the more liquid you intake, the more you can produce.. Double pump (both sides at once) do it in a relaxed atmosphere (read a book, listed to music, wear a blanket your baby was using) whatever relaxes you.. the more you think about how much you produce, the more you stress yourself out, and the less you produce.. I took domperidone until my twins were 11 months old.. If you do not have much success pumping, do not be upset. The most important milk is the "liquid gold" that comes out first.. If you baby is getting that, he's getting all the antibodies, and ect that he missed in the womb, the rest is just food... Good luck, and congrats on your bundle of joy!

Hi All! My first child was born at 27 weeks and I was having a hard time with my milk supply. My OBGYN told me to try an herbal supplement called Fenugreek. I tried that and didn't have much luck. I turned to the internet and discovered a supplement called More Milk Plus. This really helped me. After a few days my milk supply increased! My second child, a 31 weeker is still in the NICU and I have been able to keep up with her but my supply is starting to decrease. I'm going to contact my lactation consultant. She now sells the More Milk Plus supplement. It's worth a try! Hope all goes well for everyone! God Bless!
