severe preclampsia survivors?
HOLLYK108 - 06:04pm Aug 29, 2011 ESTAny mom's who have had severe Preclampsia try again? I have a gene in my DNA and an auto immune disorder that can lead to the development of Preclampsia. However, my doctor says it's not a "given" I will get it again. Did any you other survivors decide to try again? If so, did you have to deliver earlier more times?? I am thinking about my future... scared to have to deliver a little one before the age of viabilitiy or to have a stroke. Can anyone share your experience with me?

Saffy,
Good luck. I hope you hold on until after Christmas. Careful watching was how they told me they would handle any future pregnancies and that working until symptoms waas the best thing b/c sitting around waiting for the symptoms was also stressful. It sounds like your doc is on top and I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Keep us updated.

I hope you make it. Not that much longer to go... I know it doesn't seem that way to you. Are you still protein free? I hope so. I hope that you aren't being subjected to
too much MAG sulfate. that was the bane of my existence on hospital bedrest. I know why they use it, to keep the body from a seizure but it's SOO awful. If you get on it request lots of cold rags. Put them EVERYWHERE but mostly around your underarms and on your forehead. That will help alot. At least it helped me.
Wishing you as long as your body allow. Everyday does count. Think about how far you have come already and hold on to that no matter what.
