fibroid+bleeding+cerclage+PROM

sad me - 10:01pm Dec 21, 2011 EST

happy to find this site to share my grief and loss.i am the mother of a 10-year old boy.i got pregnant on and i have a fibroid on the outside of my uterus and the dr said we have to do cerclage to avoid preterm labor because of the fibroid (3.5*3.5 in dimension)and he did it on week 14 and i was bleeding heavily.the bleeding went away for few days after the cerclage and then red mucus discharge came back after few days.at week 17 my membrane ruptured and i was put on bed rest and everything was ok with the baby, but then i bleeded again and still the baby was ok until week 23 when the crp infection took place and i delivered the baby who in turn died. this was about a month and a half ago.can't forget what happened to me and feeling a lot of pain and sorrow. i'm praying all the time that i can get a brother or sister for my son.the dr said that i have to do an operation to remove the fibroid(now 5*5) and wait for at least 3 month to do an ivf again and i'm afraid that the ivf won't succeed cs i'm 38.please pray for me. can anyone help for what was the reason behind the membrane rupture.could it be the cerclage+bleeding?

Hello and welcome to share. I personally don't have any experience with fibroids or a clerlage but I understand loss. I lost my son at 30 wks and want to say how sorry I am for the loss of your baby. It breaks my heart every time someone come to this site with a loss. I understand your sorrow and this is a great place to find support. There are also lots of other women on here who have dealt with a clerlage. You may want to check out the parent to parent section
Welcome
Brooke

it's me again.i've overcome part of my sorrow and did the fibroid operation 3 months ago. i also had my ivf and embryo transfer on mon.he transfered 3 8 cell and 1 6 cell and i'm hoping to get a BFP the 19th.please pray for me.this time the ivf was with better embryos than the previous one when i actually got pregnant with my lost dear!!!so hoping for positive results. i feel nothing special about my body, the same as the previous time.just hoping and praying to get a BFP and that it will be over with those devistating ivf cycles with their fear and costs.i changed my way of eating and it worked concerning the #of embryos retrieved and fertilized.wish it works till the end and we get our#2.admire and appreciate ur feelings towards me!!!
