Lot's of Noise and Squirming!
Katie87 - 12:46am Dec 27, 2011 ESTIt's me again! Many questions in my mind now that we are home. First I have my baby sleeping in a rock n play sleeper thingy instead of a crib or pack n play as this resembles more of a bassinett and she seems comfortable in it and it kind of keeps her on an incline to help with reflux too. I'm assuming this would be ok; has anyone ever seen one of these before and know what I'm talking about? Next; she wiggles; makes tons of noise and turns blood red in the face when doing it and has been pretty fussy like she has gas. She gets the gas out though so that is good; I just wonder if that is causing her discomfort during sleep. She eats every three hours and is only taking about 45ml of formula and I wonder if that is enough. I shall find that out tomorrow at our first doctor appointment. The squirming and noises during sleep she also did in the NICU and I guess since I was not there all the time that it still seems strange to me. I just want to make sure she is comfortable. Well; that's all I can think of for now but I'm sure I will be back on later. Thanks everyone

Our ped said to follow the directions on the carrier b/c of the compression but we had a swing and it said 5 lbs and it still went too fast so we weighted it down with a blanket off the back (I read that somewhere) and it totally worked.
Good luck.

Good idea, Ellen! I wish I'd thought of that when T came home at 4 pounds and the swing on the lowest setting was like a roller coaster ride.
We were told by the developmental specialist at the hospital to purchase a snuggin go. It wasn't demanded, but suggested and it worked.---I never used this device in the carseat---
