Our February 2012 Shining Star: Liz

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.
We are pleased to announce that our new shining star is Liz (liz loschinskey), author of blog LBT
Liz first heard about the March of Dimes when her little boy Mikey was born prematurely on May 29, 2003. Sadly Mikey passed away just over a week later. Six years later her little girl Tori was born premature as well. While sitting in the waiting room during shift change she happened to see a handout on the March of Dimes and she read through it, it had information about both the March of Dimes as well as Share Your Story. She’s been hooked on both ever since! All of the medical advancements between her two children’s births, which the March of Dimes had a big part of, are what helped Tori to survive and come home growing and thriving.
Liz first joined our team of volunteers in July of 2011 and has been doing a wonderfully using her own experience to support other parents. Since then she has been going above and beyond with both helpful and supportive responses to many of our wonderful Share family members.
In addition to her spectacular volunteer work here at Share she has been doing amazing things with the March of Dimes. Since she started her involvement, her family team has raised more than ten thousand dollars for the March of Dimes. She has done this by involving many local businesses in her fundraising. She has also been busy donating clothing and blankets to the NICU when she goes there for Tori’s developmental checkups.
Please join me in thanking Liz for all that she has done for the March of Dimes and Share Your Story! We appreciate everything you do for us, and are honored to count you among our Share family members!
