MARCH FOR BABIES 2013

Today was great day our team rased 2,070 we saw my b an took pics with him sophia came along way from the first time he held her at 3 lbs 5 oz. awesome careing dr wis mre drs were like him. we also got to take some pics wit some of sophias nurses. it is amazing when thy remember you with all the babies they see maybe that is because I was there all day and night lol. we got askd to go on stage with a few other nicu grads theytold our stories. was very touching hard fought back lots of tears. I am so thankful to all my friends and family <3 I would have her all over again and not change a thing

BIG CHANGES

It has been a while with me starting a new job and sophia pretty busy. we took her to see the easter bunny she did well she is walking now just turned 17 months where is the time going. she is growing so fast we are having birth to 3 come out again to re evaluate her last time was her due date in 2012. will keep everyone posted. we are doing our first walk sunday cannot wait team sophia marie has alittle over 1700 so far.pics to follow

VALENTINES DAY AND STEPS

We had a great day we got lots of Balloons Sophia and I made cards for family. Sophia Love her Balloons and her stuffed animals. Other than that she developed a nasty rash we have to soak her in baking soda and put cream and powder on. it was so bad I actually started putting ilex cream that she had in the Hospital seems to be getting better. she has never had a rash I felt so bad. She has been coughing Alot so when she goes to the Doctor this week we will have to look into that. 15 months tomorrow man it is flying by she is taking more steps on her own my big girl love her pieces.....

PROGRESS

Sophia is thriving more and more she is still furniture cruising we just got her walking shoes not a fan of them lol. She will be walking soon I am sure she goes for her 15 month appointment this month I cannot believe it she is growing so fast. We are joining the committee here in Ct for the march of dimes cannot wait to work with them and other parents. We are trying to recruit more walkers for the new Haven ct walk we just got our first donation we are "team for sophia marie" I love watching the new things that she is learning. Sophia loves to give kisses and blow them as people lol she is a little ham. She still at times has issues eating she does not chew her food all the way she stores it in her chubby cheeks lol. Other than that she is doing great we are only doing the bottle at night and a sippy the rest of the day. her sleep schedule is horrible she does not want to go to bed at night. I need advice on this she will also NOT sleep in her bed this has gone on for months on and off she will nap there but not for long. How do I make her want to sleep there? and Love her bed ? how can we get her to fall asleep and stay asleep ? what works for other moms?

CHRISTMAS

We had a quiet day spent with family Christmas eve was at my dads and we stayed home in the Christmas. Sophia got some cute stuff from Santa one of her brothers was here to spend a few days with us it was nice. Sophia was not a fan of Santa at the mall lol I will post some pics of her and some of my family Hope you all had a merry Christmas and A great New year.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL

I cannot believe it has been a year since my daughter was born. She is into everything now she is such a blessing she definitely keeps us on our toes. I would not trade it for anything. she is doing well for being 11 weeks early she is furniture walking and gabbing a little more. We had a nice party for her one of her brothers came to celebrate with us as well as other family and friends. I cannot wait to celebrate Christmas with her last year she just came home this year will be fun. Trying to keep her away from the decorations We also had to visitors Kristen and cassie 2 of her Nicu nurses some of the others had to work. it was a great time here are some pics on is of me and the 2 nurses and my husband and step son

ALMOST 1

where has the time gone my little girl is turning 1 on November 17 I love watching her grow. Still learning to crawl she loves to be on the move especially bounce. She is an awesome little girl!

11 MONTHS AND PUMPKIN PICKING

Sophia is doing great thriving more and more trying to crawl not sure what she will do first. I cannot believe it has been almost a year it is gone by so fast. She is a huge blessing I love her to pieces we took her pumpkin picking today she did not want to touch the pumpkins. we got her to at least lean against one lol too cute. she fed Llamas also she liked them then did not cannot wait to take her to cut down our Christmas tree. I love being a Mommy <3 she is a HUGE daddys girl she loves me to but she is attached to daddy.

MY POOR BABY

Sophia has had a cough and wheeze for a few days I have put the cool mist humidifier on but no help. She did have a little cold she was not struggling to breathe but you could tell it was a little struggle. I took her to her pediatrician and he listened to her he thinks because she was a preemie her lungs are more susceptible to some breathing problems. He gave her a nedulizer her O2 levels were great before and after the treatment. You could tell her was breathing more comfortably after she was done they gave us a nebulizer to take home treatments every 4 to 6 hours. So far she is doing great she does not like the mask though she fights me then she will relax she is a feisty little girl.

NEW MILESTONES AT 10 MONTHS

I have to say for a 29 weeker Sophia has impressed me I am so proud of her. She now has 4 teeth on the top and 2 on the bottom
it is crazy. She is also now pulling herself up in her crib she is rolling all over the place she loves to stand and jump she is a great baby. I am happy I was able to be home with her this whole time to see everything that she does. she is truly a miracle I love her so much I tell her ever day how much I love her and snuggle her. she is also doing very well with having a little cold she loves attention she is just a blessing to all of us <3
