no emotional feelings.. is that okay??

hi my name is Angie my daughter was born at 32 weeks, she is now 7 and half years old we still have many things to over come but the one thing that i don't understand is she has no sad feeling, its kinda like she just don't get it.. she loves people and animals and life but when it comes to if you leave the door open and the dog gets out we wont have her no more. it just not there and her two favorite movies are Marley and me and old yeller. which are two very sad movies and to think day i still cry over them.. and well she can watch them all day without a care in the world is that normal??? im lost and dont know if this is okay..

Hi and welcome to Share. I agree with everone else, run your concerns by your pediatrician. If you aren't happy with their response you could always make an appt with a child psychologist if you are really concerned. Good luck!
