Informational On March Of Dimes by Shelby Benson

Shelby Benson - 06:26pm Jun 7, 2012 EST

March of Dimes Poem

Mothers have a rough time
And one in eight babies are born early in the US
Reach out and volunteer to help
Complications of premature birth result in 13 infant deaths daily
Help in a local Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Originally known as the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis
Founded in 1938 by Franklin D. Roosevelt

Death due to premature birth is the most common infant death
Improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects
More than 1,400 babies are born prematurely everyday in the US
Educate yourself and others
Spread the word
