In premature labor with 2nd child (32 wks), lost 1st baby born at 28 wks

kgrace - 05:17pm Jun 27, 2012 EST

Hello my name is Kathryn. I am sitting in the hospital awaiting the arrival of my second child, Lakin, and currently I'm 32 wks 6 days. I went into labor last Thursday, 32 wks 0 days, and I am dilated to 3-4cm (depending on which doc you ask) & 70% effaced as of Saturday. I have no been checked since then but labor has been stopped with procardia. I stopped using procardia on Saturday also. My first child, Wyatt, was born at 28 weeks on December 11, 2009, we lost him8 days after birth. My husband & I am very terrified of having another preemie. I want to know how long I can sit around dilated like this but that seems to be the question no one can answer. Just like no one can answer why I seem not to be able to carry to term. I was receiving 17p shots & bi-weekly ultrasounds with this pregnancy but yet here I sit. I will be released from hospital at 34 weeks, next Thursday, if no change
