Today is December 22, 2010.
I haven't been able to update in a while. I am now back at work so being where i have internet access i should be able to update more often. Lauren is doing fantastic!!!! she is now 1 pound 14.2 ounces!!! They have taken out her pick line in her leg for good! So she is off all her i.v. fluids. Her feeds have gone up to 4.7 cc's an hour. She is getting bigger and gaining weight soo fast! So far all her crainial and eye exams have come back good! Thank the Lord! We have taken one set of Christmas pictures with her and will be taking another set on Christmas eve. We are hoping that she will reach 2 pounds by Christmas. What a wonderful gift that would be

Today is November 18, 2010.
Lauren has been in the hospital for 15 days now. She is still doing pretty good. At weigh in last night she weighed 1 pound .2 ounces. She weighs less now then she did at birth. The practitioner said not to worry though because premature babies fluctuate in weight a lot. If she continues to loose weight then we will have to look into it more. They now have her on another medication called doxapram. It is also a stimulate. They have upped her dosage since yesterday because she has been having frequent drops where nurses are having to stimulate her. So today hasn't been a good day. Now as a mother I am having a hard time coping with the fact that there is nothing that I can do to help her. When I saw her today she didn't look as peaceful as she usually does when I see her. She almost looked like she was in pain. It broke my heart completely cause I can't hold her or pick her up to try and make it better. Please continue to pray for our small family and the trials we have ahead of us. God is in control!

Today is November 17, 2010
We just got done visiting with Lauren Marie. Today is exactly 2 weeks since she's been born!! We are so proud of her! She is still doing so good. She hasn't had any heart rate drops today so I'm guessing the caffeine they have in her i.v. is working

They did another cranial scan on her today to check for brain bleeds. The results will be in in a few days. Please say a prayer that it will come back normal. She has had 3 other tests to check for brain bleeds and they have all come back clear which is amazing!! Her weight today is 1 pound and 1.6 ounces. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and support! We need them dearly.

Today is November 15, 2010.
We went to go see baby Lauren around lunch time today. She is doing very good. Weighing in at 1.08 lbs. She is still on c-pap, but doing alot of the breathing on her own. She's so strong! She had a couple of heart rate drops. They have her on an i.v. that pretty much has caffine in it to help with the drops. They just have to find her "happy place" and where she is most comfortable.

Me and Chris went again around 8 to see her. The nurse at that time said she hasn't had any drops since she has been there. Her weight has changed to 1 1.8 lbs. I'm not sure if that is correct but if so, keep packing on the pounds baby girl!!!!
