A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Turned out to be a picture perfect beach day! We had so much fun, Micah completely wiped himself out playing with all his 'friends'. It was super fun! I think this one pretty much capture's Micah's delight with the day...

Lauren-I love him! So glad that the weather cooperated!

Stacy-What a stinky landlord. Hopefully he will get everything fixed ASAP.

Geri-Cute mad libs!

Donna-You took a nap?!!! I think the world has ended!!!!

Tracy-We just joined a gym that has hot yoga. I am super excited to get started.

Glad I have a day off, Alex is home with the stomach flu. All my plans of meeting my Share mommas may have just gone out the window.

Angel Love - Feb 20, 2012 3:01 pm (#210 Total: 319)

Lauren~ That's the perfect pic!!! Love that little man!!

Katie~ Ugh....stomach bugs are not our friends! Hopefully you'll be able to get some Share momma time too.

Stacy~ I'm assuming by the who gets up that early question that you're referring to the plumbers....um yeah! They definately found out that I don't get up that early when I met them at the door with bed head and no makeup. I was dressed, but felt no need to look "presentable" at 7:30a.m. on a Sat. morning.

I accidentally (because I woke up and it was on that channel) watched Dr. Phil this morning. There is a couple on there who are divorced with teenage children. The parents have basically put the kids in the middle and bad-mouth (especially the mom) each other to the kids. Seriously....that's just wrong!!! If you don't get along with your spouse then it's not the kids' fault. Okay--off the soapbox!

Donna S - Feb 20, 2012 4:03 pm (#211 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Lauren - Adorable!!!

Katie - UGH!!!! Hope Alex feels better quickly. Not fun to spend a day off home with a sick kiddo. And yes, I did take a nap, and the world continued to spin. I was SOOOOOO tired!

Stacy - Seriously? What a lame-o.

Tracy - Go you!! Having teammates definitely holds you accountable.

Trying to figure out what to do today. We may just take a hang-out day and be lazy at home, especially since the kids are off tomorrow too. I'm not feeling in top form at the moment myself.

liams mommy - Feb 20, 2012 7:06 pm (#212 Total: 319)

Hi Share Friends! This is my first time in the Share Cafe, can't believe i've never posted here before!!
I don't really have anything to say, but hello - i haven't blogged much lately, but have been keeping up with everyone else's.
Talk to you soon

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 20, 2012 7:22 pm (#213 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Jen- Nice to see you in the cafe! Super fun around these parts!

Donna- Oh my gosh... stay home... let the kids veg with the TV and enjoy yourself! You sooooo deserve a day not in the car!

Tracy- Yeah, that's lame!! What children those parents are!

Katie- Aw, sorry Alex isn't feeling well... hope she's better soon!

What is it with all these random winter breaks? I've never heard of such a thing! Schools here go from Christmas/Winter break straight through to Spring Break... never heard of a Winter break part two!

Relaxing today after the huge beach day yesterday!

Angel Love - Feb 20, 2012 9:28 pm (#214 Total: 319)

Our "winter break" is because of the fact that we're off on Mondays and never observe a holiday that's on a Monday. I guess they felt the families could use some vacation time. I don't argue---I just enjoy!

Jen~ Good to see you here!!!

One of my workout partners had an opportunity to go out on a date with her hubby and ditched us. I can't say that I blame her since she had no kiddos tonight...... Thankfully the other one is still willing to kick my butt into shape!

My day tomorrow may include staying in bed because I won't be able to walk!!!!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 20, 2012 11:11 pm (#215 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Oy... see when you put exercising in those terms it just doesn't seem worth it at all! I like my ability to walk.

I do still have dreams of getting in the pool and getting my swim routine started again... maybe next month....

Angel Love - Feb 20, 2012 11:58 pm (#216 Total: 319)

Okay----back-----AND I can still walk!

My friend runs like a mad woman daily and kicked my but today. I haven't moved off the couch in so long that the cushions look like memory foam, but she started me off with a BRISK 3 MILE walk! Well....she called it walking.

She celebrated with me when I made it back to the car!

Tomorrow.....we'll do it again.....and she said that she's going to make me run part of it.

lvazquez - Feb 21, 2012 12:01 am (#217 Total: 319)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Jennifer - Welcome to the cafe! Good to see you in here lady:)

Lauren - He looks SO CUTE! Sure sounds like a super birthday beach party:) I'm not on FB either. Don't ever plan to be. There is a Lindsay V. on there, but she's a marathon runner! Obviously, NOT me.

Donna - Yes, I so agree with you on being flexible. So far, Tristyn transitions pretty well and quickly. I'm learning that it can all change and quickly too:) This week, I heard longer sentences and saw more eye contact. Love that!

I was all prepared to get some CA rain, but it never happened. I washed my car today and cleaned up the disaster that is the backseat. Yuck!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 21, 2012 12:08 am (#218 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Whoa... you washed your car and it didn't rain?! I swear washing a car is like doing a rain dance! Don't know if ya saw, Home Depot has free monthly activities that are super fun... kids get to make bird houses... cars... it's their Kids Workshop... they even give the kids work aprons. I can't wait until Micah is old enough to go!

Tracy- Dang! Did you tell her she better bring a fire to put under your butt?! That's what it would take to get me running anywhere!

Project relax... in full effect.

stacyat - Feb 21, 2012 2:58 am (#219 Total: 319)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lauren: Aww, looks like Micah had a blast at his party!

Tracy: Yep, you figured right! That's just nuts they're waking up that early! Ugh, I watched that episode too, it was utterly ridiculous the immaturity of the father, it's like a bunch of teenage siblings were bickering rather than a father talking to his kids.

Hey Jen!! Come back soon!

Went out and checked out the location for our zumbathon today! Since it's the first year we're not sure how many people will show up, but the location looks great! I'm excited! And thank you Jessica for the idea!

proud to be the mom of this little fighter

OMG Lauren...he may be just to cute...I just want to kiss him all over. Hes beautiful. Looks like he had the absolute best time. xoxo good job momma!!!

O boy Tracy...sounds like you got a drill sergeant on your hands. 3 miles....thats a lot for your first time out. Hope your not dying today.

Listen, listen Lauren...dont knock our winter break part II lol.....I need it. If we all lived in sunny paradise we wouldnt be so cranky either lol. This week is just what the dr ordered....a little relaxing time!! I actually booked a hotel for a night just so Maddie can go swimming. The poor girl is so desparate for summer she cant wait.

Yay for washing the car. Keith finally took mine to the car wash...after begging for weeks. It was gross. Hate when it needs a vacuum.

Katie, stinks about Alex...hoping its short lived. Maddie had it a few weeks ago along with strep....it was terrible.

Well off to sew girls....see you soon.

Donna S - Feb 21, 2012 6:23 pm (#221 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Tracy - Are you walking today? 3 miles is pretty far for the first time out.

Lauren - We *only* get two days but one of our local districts gets this whole week off. CRAZY!!!! I have to say, I have enjoyed even two mornings of waking up slowly and taking it easy.

Jess - Go you on booking the hotel so Maddie can swim. Awesome.

Hi Jen!! Do come back to the Cafe. So fun and so much stress relief in here!

Stacy - Good luck with the Zumbathon.

Ahhhh...supposed to be near 80 here today. Have on capris, short sleeves, and sandals. Yay!!! Soccer tryouts went well last night. We do have a new coach. He coached Grace a few years ago on the recreational side and we love him. Such a relief.

Angel Love - Feb 21, 2012 7:21 pm (#222 Total: 319)

Yes girls!! I can walk today!!!! In fact, I met my friend and walked 3 miles again!!! I know....I was definately stiff last night and worried how the morning would feel, but I was okay.

It's suppose to rain tomorrow so I might have to try a DVD or stationary bikes instead, but we're making plans for Thursday. I'm trying......

Katie~ How's Alex??

Donna~ 80's?? Seriously, I'm jealous! Our temps aren't freezing today, but it's not capris and t-shirt weather either.

Well.....let me get moving again. I returned to the couch to type my paper for class and now that it's done, I can't stay here. If I do, the sleep fairy takes control.....

KHolley - Feb 21, 2012 8:24 pm (#223 Total: 319)

Tracy-Thanks for asking, Alex seems to feel okay, but we just got a call that Landen needed to be picked up because he was running a fever! I am so proud of you for walking!

Donna-The weather is so nice down here, we are considering taking the boat out this weekend!

I am going to attempt hot yoga tonight! Wish me luck!!!!!!

Donna S - Feb 21, 2012 8:42 pm (#224 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Katie - UGH!!! Why are kids so good at sharing illnesses but nothing else? Hope Landon recovers quickly. Weekend boating = awesomeness.

Tracy - Wahooooooooo for no soreness. Keep it up girlie!

I took Fat Tuesday a little too seriously at lunch. Took the kids to Red Robin and I just cannot say no to their yummy fries. STUFFED!!

Booked the kids ski and snowboard lessons for this weekend. Excited! Even Ethan is totally looking forward to it. Yay!

KHolley - Feb 21, 2012 8:55 pm (#225 Total: 319)

I love Fat Tuesday, all for the King Cake!!!! I am from New Orleans, love me some Mardi Gras!

Donna-Enjoy the snowboarding and skiing!!! Yay for everyone being excited!

I didn't know you were from NOLA Katie. Michael and I are going next month. Suggestions? We already have a gondola ride booked but that's it. And what's King Cake?

KHolley - Feb 21, 2012 9:19 pm (#227 Total: 319)

What is King Cake?!!! My heart just broke! It is only made on Fat Tuesday, it is a pastry stuffed with cream cheese. They bake a ceramic baby in and whoever finds it gets luck and prosperity for the year, they are also required to buy the next one!

You must go to Cafe Dumon! They have the best beignets and coffee...amazing!!!!

Donna S - Feb 21, 2012 9:25 pm (#228 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Okay, mouth watering. YUM!!!!!!!!!

Cafe Dumon - on the list of "must do's". Thanks!!

I love my kids!

Lauren-Absolutely love the pics!
Tracy-I need a drill sergant type!
Katie-Local bakery makes a mean king cake....Yum!
JEN!!!-Welcome to the cafe, come back soon, I miss you and Bella!
Donna, I thought of you today...actually I was cursing you in my head because you inspired me to make a dentist appointment. Well, my appointment was today. Did NOT go good. My teeth feel awesome, but I have to get a wisdom tooth pulled. I won't lie, I haven't been to the dentist in about 3 years. I have another appointment on the 6th to get it pulled and fill 2 cavities. Yikes!

I nearly shed a tear today when I got a package in the mail from Mr. James SooHoo. Was an MOD notebook/journal type thing. Saying Thanks! It was a suprise, and much appreciated. On a different MOD note, I talked to my local lady (Renee) on Friday about an upcoming meeting we have on the 3rd. She had no idea about SYS and gave me permission to talk about the site at our M4B meeting. I've gathered and written downn all kinds of ideas from you lovely ladies to take with me to this meeting. Let's face it, our walk is not a big deal, there is nothing along the 3 mile journey remembering or celebrating any of the children. I think this is the year I get completely involved, and kindly remind them to get the smoking volunteers off of our walk site. I told them 2 years ago, if all of these volunteers are going to be smoking as my kid walks by, we are NOT doing the walk anymore, they assured me it would be taken care of. They were still smoking last year at all of the checkpoints of the walk.
Anything else I should be taking to my local chapter? Any ideas that weren't already given?

bbl.....

I love my kids!

ps-

Keep Tori in your wishful thoughts.

I'm praying and have been praying for a week she hits 20 pounds this week. She's been 19 pounds since July. (through gaining and losing)

Tomorrow's the official weigh in!

Donna S - Feb 22, 2012 12:56 am (#231 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Sorry the dentist appt didn't go that well Liz. I'm kinda looney about brushing and flossing and haven't had a cavity since I was 7. Good luck with the wisdom teeth pulling. (I did have that done in my 20's). And thinking good thoughts for Tori's weigh-in.

I know I should be doing something productive but I have absolutely no desire at this particular moment. So here I sit. I could be looking for new recipes, or moving the laundry, or sweeping the floor. Instead, I'm being lazy. Sigh......

Madisons mom - Feb 22, 2012 2:04 am (#232 Total: 319)

proud to be the mom of this little fighter

Go Tracy, super proud if you. Wish I had your motivation.

Donna, what I would give to wear flip flops right now....I bought a few summer clothes the other day cause I'm sick of the cold already....meanwhile, hierarchies say we had an awesome winter...hardly any snow.

Good luck Liz in the weigh in...hope she hits it.

Watching the Biggest Looser...while sitting in bed. can you say lazy?

Arnara - Feb 22, 2012 4:22 pm (#234 Total: 319)

Hello girls you have been chatty, I read almost 40 messages, I will try to remember all you talked about......of course I took notes...

Geri: that Mad Lib was hilarious, I wonder about the James-shaped waffles.... and the hearts made of horses...... I truly hope you get that job, working home must be great and seems like a nice job.... hope you are better by now from your sore throat....I got rid of several of friends, the ones that didn't even called me...

Donna: I am so envious of your MIL relationship, mine is little tight, thank God she lives in Italy..... LOL that is a slow period for you??? I am so sorry for your friend's baby.....And good luck for Ethan in his ski school ......And I also took a long nap on Sunday afternoon.....

LAuren: Happy 2nd Birthday to Micah, as always he looks gorgeous and happy, so glad you had a perfect beach day, and I am sure he had a great day..... so envious that you can go to the beach whenever you like.....how far are you in your pregnancy??? where is that belly pic??

Lindsay: I am so glad that you found useful that conference, hope you have learnt and got great ideas, it is so comforting to be with ppl that understand you even if you don't know them, like in here....... mmmm... that is a good reminder I need to wash and clean my car, I swear I have half the kids closet in the back.....really washed the car and not rain??? Like Lauren said that is strange.....you beat Murphy's Law.......

Tracy: That is a great idea, getting in shape, I would love to have a team of friends like that, but you are in shape..... I found a great web page about how to start running.... I don't like running I prefer walking......That is a great weather for a nap or a great home movie.......

Stacy: Oh seems like that landlord of yours is not easy.... hope all get fixed around your house..... Glad about the zumbathon though I am not sure what it is......

Katie: I didn't Know you are from New Orleans, that is the place I want to go, also my DH, we were planning to visit one day, also San Francisco...... hey next Share Union could be in New Orleans???? So how was your hot yoga class??? I always wanted to try it, but here schedules for that classes are crazy, like 5 am or 8 pm and I can't.... I know excuses excuses....Hope Alex is feeling better from her Stomach flu... so envious of that Share mom meeting.

Jennifer: Welcome to the Caffe.....

Liz: ugh.... dentist..... crossing my fingers that Tori arrives to 20 pounds, I think that even the things we do are not big deal, but mean something to us, then they are important and you make a difference..... hope all goes well......

Jackie: Where are you???

Jessica: good luck with the house.... hahaha.... you don't want to move far.... I wish you could teach me to sew.....I have seen so wonderful projects in here but I am useless with a needle......

Ellen, Erin, Samantha..... hope you are fine......

So I have been busy, this Interior design classes are a little over I think..... we are doing architect plans, since we have to know how to use the space, it has been hard for me since I can't read those dam plans, and I don't know all the symbols, is like chinese, and teacher assumes that we all know that, and that furniture stencil, uuf hard to read also, but it has been challenging, and I love challenges, and I have learnt a lot of things...... since I bought all the material, even the desk, my DH says now I should go into architecture school......

Kids are fine, just a class with S that we had some issues with the teacher, but I think it is normal..... V is happy and has been fine, thank God......

Well I have to run, and do some errands and finish some homework from my class......

Happy Wednesday everyone......

Lorena

Lorena - That class doesn't sound like fun. Glad to hear the kids are okay. Was thinking about you yesterday. Sending hugs.

Liz - Hang in there.

Anyone here a Glee fan? Have you watched last night's episode? Good golly - deep and a little tough to take. I do love how they deal with issues so many teens face. But wow.

Had a rough morning with Ethan. I know he sees so many things as a power struggle he needs to win. But I'm exhausted trying to stay one step ahead of him and not let my frustration show. Therapy today and he's already fighting it. He says it's boring. I couldn't bring myself to face the battle of telling him we have to go straight from therapy to Grace's tryout. That is NOT going to be fun.

liz loschinskey - Feb 22, 2012 7:55 pm (#237 Total: 319)

I love my kids!

Ugh Donna, good luck with Ethan. I'm sorry your exhausted. Keep your head up!

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Tori lost 2oz.

No 20 pounds.

Arnara - Feb 22, 2012 8:39 pm (#238 Total: 319)

Liz: booo for those 2 ounces, hope she gains them back and more weight soon.......

Donna: Morning struggles and power fightings, I know them, I know them..... it is so hard to keep patience...... well though it sounds hard and bad the class, is like challenging and entertaining......I know about hiding bad news for them..... but I didn't wanted to be fighting since the morning......hang in there......

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Lorena - Good to hear from you:) I'm hoping that all is better with S's teacher. I know you know about those mornings too. I think back to that post where you said that S was dressed and waiting on the couch that one morning. This morning, Donovyn picked out his own clothes and insisted on a shower. He did it all by himself! Wish we lived closer. . .

Lauren - I had heard that there were some Saturday things for kiddos at the Home Depot, but I haven't checked those out. No doubt it's something that you're looking forward to doing with Micah:) I think that's neat! I can see him wearing one of those little aprons too. Cute! For now, I'm happy Mr. T's got his baseball groove on. He's been going the last few Saturdays and this weekend they are supposed to put their skills together and try and play an acutal game. Should be fun to watch:)

Liz - Sorry she didn't gain more. The dentist can be a scary place too. Took me a long time to get comfortable in that chair. I had foot surgery when I was 7 and for every appt. afterwards where someone was required to wear a surgical mask, freaked me out!

Katie - Happy Belated Mardi Gras to you! That's awesome and thanks for the recommendation. It's on my bucket list! Hope your kiddos feel better soon.

Donna - Yay for a good coach! It's almost Friday!

KHolley - Feb 23, 2012 1:22 am (#242 Total: 319)

Lindsay-I love baseball season! Brings back such wonderful memories, especially now that Alex is playing!

Lorena-I hope the class gets better! I love SU in New Orleans, I could show you a few fun spots!

Donna-When is your trip? I fully expect to at least receive a text from Cafe Dumon!

I am off to the other coast of Florida this weekend! Wish us luck, Alex and Landen are both competing!

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Katie: How was hot yoga? Good luck to the kids!

Liz: It was a well deserved thanks for all the fantastic work you do! Aww, dang! Hugs to you, I was hoping she'd hit 20 pounds too.

Jessica: No snow means not having your husband gone at all hours of the day plowing this year, right?

Lorena: The hot tub is "fixed" at least! It's empty and drying out finally! Yay for not paying electricity for that anymore! That sounds like a really tough class, but you sound like you're on top of things. Yay for a healthy Miss V!

Donna: Big big hugs, I'm sorry you and Ethan had a rough morning.

UGH. Elim's last dose of bactrim for his ear infection was Monday morning. Tonight he spiked a 101.4 fever and refused to eat before bed. I gave him some motrin, just went and checked him and his cheeks aren't red anymore and his forehead and tummy don't feel hot anymore. I'm bringing him in in the morning, I'm not messing around and playing wait and see like we did last week when I knew something was going on but the nurse wanted me to monitor. No other symptoms, so I'm thinking maybe his ear infection is back, it looked clear on the 15th while still on the meds.

Hi everybody!

Stacy, hope Elim feels better soon!

Katie, Hot Yoga! I don't know if your hot yoga is anything like the yoga place by my house....they have the heat up to 85, I know this because she told us at the beginning of class. I like yoga at the y better.....it's not blazing hot.

I'm not sure who was talking about it, but Tori has a home depot apron. They do something at our M4B's every year.

Tori's sick...boooooo. She thought it was the greatest thing to get ashes on her head last night at church. She kept putting her forehead on everyone else's forehead...hahah.

I checked the tracking on my bed this morning and it is in our town....left the center at 7.04 this morning to be delivered via ups. Mail man and fedex man came today...no ups...yet!

Can't wait to sleep tonight!!

Stacy-Hot yoga was awesome! I am going tonight! I am so proud of myself, been to the gym every morning this week and twice at night with hot yoga!

Liz-Enjoy the new bed!

So, great Katie story today! I have been tanning in the stand up bed at our gym. I was wondering why I wasn't getting tanner. Well, today the lady before me left the door open to the bed. Apparently, I have been "tanning" in the changing room, not the tanning bed!!!!!! I laughed my way to school today!

Liz - Go you!! We can keep each other accountable. Hope Tori feels better fast!

Stacy - I'd not wait either, especially just coming off a round of antibiotics. Poor baby.

Lindsay - Those early years of baseball are so fun, and entertaining. Enjoy!

Run done. Yippee! Now just need to get some laundry done, run to the store, and get packing. We leave for the snow tomorrow morning.

Liz: Aww, I bet that apron is super cute on her! I hope she feels better soon! The pedi said there's all kinds of stuff going around right now.

Katie: Wow, that's great. Oh, and LMAO, that's awesome, especially that you would tell us about it!

Donna: Has it been snowing somewhere in the US? Going skiing?

Took Elim to the pediatrician, his ears are perfect thank goodness! His quick strep test was also negative, but she's sending it off for culture. In the meantime we're going with random virus so just keep him on antibiotics and fluids!

Think we're going to sign up for the gymboree class, it's a really good discount for the military for unlimited classes. Might be fun to bring him to a play class or music class every week and it would give me more ideas of fun stuff to do at home! He's getting bored with patty cake and I'm a little stinkpot (teapot) after a few months of doing it.

Donna: Sounds like s nice getaway in the snow! Take lots of pics:) Lots of snow in Flagstaff, but one never knows with the I-17.

Stacy: Glad to know that his li'l ears were clear. There is some nastiness going around. I hope my kids can avoid it again for awhile.

Liz: That's cool that Home Depot does something for your MFB!

Katie: I know right?! I played too. I miss it. There is a co-ed team in my area, but it's kind of shady:(

Anybody playing the Monopoly game at Albertson's grocery stores? Urgh, there's a 3-mile walk this weekend at my son's school to help benefit animal shelters. They're hurting too right now. I guess that would help put me in walk mode for April:)

Stacy - The mountains near us (San Bernadino where Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead are) got dumped on last week when we got our serious rain. Glad no ear infections for little man. We did Little Gym when our kids were toddlers. Loved it!

Lindsay - Tis the season for fundraisers and walks.

Liz - Yay for bed arrival. I've been trying to talk Michael into that mattress for months. He's a no-go. Grrrrrr.

Energy - gone. I would love a nap, but the kids will be home in about twenty minutes, then it's off to get haircuts, refill prescriptions, laundry and pack. Is it bedtime yet?

I SOOOO....... NEEDED THAT!!!!!! Love you Katie!!!!!!

Been walking with my friend daily! So far so good!! I'm still tired and out of breath, but not nearly as bad as I was on Monday! I can actually walk afterwards without feeling all wobbly!

Lindsay: No Albertsons around here anymore, they all closed down and most switched to homeland I think.

Donna: Sounds fun, enjoy your trip! Ouch, definitely not conducive to taking a nap.

Tracy: Yay for improvements! I should start going on walks with Elim when it's nice weather out, or I'm going to be hurting at our M4B!

Poor bubba got up to 102 today, motrin didn't even touch it so I suspect had I not given that it would have gone higher. He feels cool to the touch now though, so hoping it broke. He was mostly in good spirits though, a little whiny and clingy but I can handle extra cuddles.

Arnara - Feb 24, 2012 1:50 pm (#255 Total: 319)

Katie: that is so funny.....

Lindsay: that sound like a great cause to walk for besides it would get moving........

I miss walking around here in the city, but we don't do it, it is too dangerous you might get rob, I had a friend's visit here for the first time, and he said, why don't we walk if it is too close..... nope here we don't walk even it is half mile away we go in the car...... and I can only walk in the closed streets (2 by the way) of my condo since they are with guards and are private, so no fun walking around in circles like a robot........

Stacy: Poor dear Elim, it has been a rough winter for him, by the way does he has the flu vaccine??? Baby gym is great I did it with S but I was the one that sweat, since I have to chase him all around.......

Donna: Enjoy your trip..... and get some rest.....

Liz: So funny about Tori and the ashes..... V came home with her ash cross and she thought it was so special.... great for the be arriving, enjoy it.....hope Tori is well soon.....

So S did great in his working alone guide in school (which is a great goal for him to sit and work alone) he had a 10 over 10 so to award him, he invited 2 friends today, and we are going to the laser shots game, he is so thrilled that he wake up early and was ready today for school....... Miss V went last night at 6:30 pm to bed and wake up today at 6 am.... she was so tired we played in the kids ground in the condo after school, so she had a light dinner and fell asleep on the couch..... Tonight we have a dinner with my DH friends.... I wanted to go to the movies..... I think we need to talk with my DH we always go out with his friends, I mean I like the couple, but sometimes I get tire and I want we do things alone, and for my DH fun night is to go out with lots of friends.....

Happy weekend everyone.......

Wait until October when you ladies get the real version of events, even funnier! I had our corporal in tears yesterday because he was laughing so hard!

Lorena-I am so glad that S did great on his assignment!

Lindsay-I so wish there was a good co-ed league near me. They are all too competitive for me!

Donna-I could use a nap too!!!!

Stacy-We did The Little Gym, same concept, loved it!

My morning started with breaking up a large fight on campus, thank goodness it's Friday!!!!!!

Lindsay-Never heard of Albertson's.

Donna-Comparing king size beds, the sleep number was the same or cheaper than a brand new one....even cheaper online. What are you packing for?

Tracey-Hooray for no wobbly legs!

Stacey-hope Elim feels better soon! Sounds like Tori. She's been a snuggle bug since yesterday morning.

Lorena-Wow, Miss V sounded Tired! And, Laser tag is awesome!! I hope the boys have fun.

Katie-Yikes on the fight. Be careful!

Did someone say something about SU in New Orleans this year? Was that serious or guessing?
So this bed arrived in 5 boxes. Where's the 6th box? I need 6 boxes...So the whole bed except the legs of the bed arrived. We slept on it anyway. I slept till 10 this morning...that's an extra hour and a half. I felt like I was sleeping on a rock! It was fantastic! My DH's side felt like a waterbed for pete's sake.

We've a dr appointment for miss T. If I catch it on day 2 I'm hoping it won't explode into full blown pneumonia like last time. Why do the nurses on the phone always try and give these home remedies...it didn't work last time. Also, I had no ideaChildren's and infant Tylenol got recalled. My Pedia gave me a bottle of it last time we were there, I went to buy it yesterday....3 different places, I finally asked the pharmacist at the 3rd stop.

Have a good Friday everyone!

Liz - Sounds like some fabulous sleep. I am SO entirely jealous. 6 am is "sleeping in" around here. Hope Tori isn't headed towards pneumonia. Packing for our weekend snow trip. T-minus 45 minutes til go time. Yippee!!

Katie - Definitely need a reenactment at SU. Still giggling. A full-blown fight on a Friday morning? UGH!!

Tracy - Keep it up rockstar!! I ran 5 miles yesterday and I am sore!

I love the mornings when Michael is home until the kids go to school. He's a good man and makes the coffee as well as gets the kids rolling. Well, this morning I'm not sure he put any coffee in the coffee. Blech!! Should have stopped at S'Bucks when I was out running a couple of errands this morning. Sigh.........

Liz: Woohoo for a great night's sleep! Hmm, hadn't heard that rumor! Good thing I've got stock in motrin, lol. Hope you're able to nip it in the but before it gets worse.

Donna: Hope you're enjoying your trip!!

Lauren: Still with a 102 fever, day three of fevers and hoping it's the last. We'll see tomorrow. Fun beach day!

Tried a couple new recipes tonight, ended up eating oatmeal for dinner. Made sweet and spicy chicken and parmesan roasted potatoes. The chicken was too thick so by the time the inside was cooked, it was burnt, and it had next to no flavor. The potatoes were just blah. I should find recipes to cook for 1.5 people for when Charles is gone.

Donna-Have fun! I hope you are going ski'ing...fun times!
A local ski resort just burnt down here a few weeks back. It looked eerie on the news...the whole entire thing burnt to the ground--no injuries.

Stacey- Ugh! So sorry about your chicken...I can't help but laugh because this is something I would do. Be so proud of my meal then burn it. Stupid oven. Poor Elim. I hope he turns this around.

Lauren, I won't lie, I get very jealous of your beach days. It dropped from 60 to the 20's in 1 day, the wind was so scary strong yesterday it ripped shingles off the roof, woke up this morning to extreme winds, snow, and freezing.

Tori's dr appointment was a bust. She's got the croup. She got a steroid shot, which in turn, made my child the most obnoxious, rambunxious(sp), would not stop, all night. After the doc, stopped at church for fish sandwiches take out, then came home to a huge surprise! Altho, I think it was more for Mike than me, I get home to a 40" flatscreen above our fireplace in our bedroom. Wowsa's!! New bed and new tv all in one week!

You know what today is---lay in bed with my snugglebug and watch cartoons, then law and order during her nap.

Lorena: I hope you can get some alone time just you and DH for your next time out. It's so rare at my house too. Trying to work on that. I'm already looking at summer camps and trying to budget for at least 1-2 days per week if we can swing it. What did we do for our anniversary? We toured a Community School for kids with ASD and went to lunch (take out). Not the way we had initially planned, but hey, you do what you can. Love to me isn't the frou frou stuff (although I'd never turn away diamond anything), but it's my DH getting up in the middle of the night with Mr. T so that I can get another hour or two of shut eye.

Katie: The co-ed league in my hood looks like they are all out on parol!

Donna: I learned to ski at Brianhead. I was in the 4th grade:) Big Bear, cool! Let me know if you run into Shaun White:)

My oldest opted to stay home and watch his Toonzai junk, so that was cool with me. Grabbed a cup of Joe and my laptop and sat outside. It's NICE. Got a date for our home visit. It's in 2 weeks. Here's to hoping my guy ehxibits all of his behaviors. Watch, he'll be an angel and we'll get denied.

Hey everybody!

Donna~ I hope that the ski trip is going well!

Lorena~ That's the funniest "stay-at-home-mom" photo truth ever!

Well....the brain has not allowed me to remember the rest..... Ansley's not feeling well AGAIN! We've not had this many issues in a row in a long time. She's battled the sinus crud since Monday and it's all acted like a cold. This morning, she woke up crying with her ear hurting and asked me to take her to the dr. Off to the dr. we went.... Yep, ear infection so hopefully we'll be on the mend soon.

Along with that wonderful start to the day, my friend called to let me know that her grandfather, who has been in my life as a grandparent "figure" all my life passed away overnight. He's been battling with his health for a while now, but it doesn't make it easier.

Exercising has been going well, hopefully I'll get an opportunity to do something later today. Our temps went from 75 degrees one day to 40 degrees the next. Tough to get a plan in place when that happens.

Lindsay, I agree with Lauren...Do what it takes to get your services.

Lauren, I had to google the word lanai. I can only imagine the beauty of your yard.

Tracey, Ansley asking to go to the Dr. Must be bad! Praying for get better vibes! Sorry about the grandfather figure. And I understand irratic weather.

So, I've decided, Tori can't possibly have croup. This is turning exactly the way it did when she got pnuemonia(sp). The dr said the steroid shot would calm her throat down...FAIL. She is 8-10X worse than she was yesterday. When you try to explain to a new dr(same office, on call dr) her history and he cuts you off in mid conversation I knew in the back of my head, this is going to end up bad.

Booo....

Liz: Aww, poor Tori!! Sucks the steroids didn't help at all. You going to bring her in again or wait till Monday?

Lindsay: Of course he'll be on his best behavior, aren't they always? Hoping he shows the people evaluating him what he's usually like so he can get what he needs.

Tracy: Aww, poor Ansley! I hope that the antibiotics get her to feeling better quick! I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend's Grandfather, (((hugs)))

Quiet day at home today. Elim's still got his fever, higher today than yesterday. But no other symptoms, not even really fussy, just tired looking so I'm not sure what's going on! If he still has it tomorrow night I'll be calling in to talk to the nurse on Monday morning to see if they want to see him again. Hoping it goes away by tomorrow though.

Stacey, her nebulizer doesn't seem to be doing anything, I did call the pediatrition today, talked to the nurse, said to give it a full 24 hours for the roids to work. I say BS. I've been using Hyland's homepathic cold and cough, but it's only working for about 2 hours at a time.

I'm nearly disgusted, I try so hard all day to keep her full of fluids, and squeeze in what she will eat(toast, pretzels and noodles) and when I fill her belly full of noodles for dinner, she has a cough attack and pukes it all up.ps-her bm's are like liquid.

Next plan of attack-ER.

Katie, that's FANTASTIC news! I bet you're one proud mama today!

T slept through the night. Started her cough this morning around 8. I was up every 2-3 hours repositioning her to a semi sitting position. It seemed to have worked. No church today, I don't want to be the mom with the kid who's coughing/snotty/crying. I'm also debating on a baby shower today. I bought the present, but Tori would be a good excuse as to why I can't go.

So, this morning, The fire alarm in our neighborhood goes off(next street over so no matter what time of day, we hear it) around6.30-7. I hear fire TRUCKS(which I never hear) about 5 minutes later. I wake up and smell a smell.(I'm still in bed) Get up let the dog out, it stinks so bad outside. Now I'm concerned about someone in my neighborhood's house burning down. There's a few of us that are tightly knit. I haven't ventured out, yet. I'll update later.

Have a blessed day, everyone! bbl...

Liz~ I hope all is well in the neighborhood. I also hope that T. is feeling better.

Someone's house burn't to the ground down by our church. Everyone got out alive, a firefighter got flown to Pittsburgh's West Penn burn center. I think the roof collapsed down on him. The house was a total loss. This is the 2nd house in less than 3 years that burnt to the ground on that street.

We go back to the Dr for Miss T. today. I knew croup wasn't fitting what she is displaying. Now, we go back for a nebulizer and script for albuterol.....at least that is what I'm demanding. I wish people(my SIL) understood (yesterdays conversation)Liz she's sick, she'll be fine, your paranoid and worry to much. K, the difference is, my kid ends up in the hospital, yours goes to the dr. and she rolled her eyes at me. Thi's same SIL also informed me that I'm angry all the time and she thinks it's fear not dispursed properly. Shes the one with a master's in Psych. Also the one who tell me to get over my child who died 10 years ago.(it was 8yrs) or yesterday told me you need to get over whatever fear you have about Tori getting sick.

When I take my kid to children's because she is blue not breathing
due to coughing..I think I'm allowed to have some fear when she gets sick.

I'm nearly ready to cry because I can't tell if she has valid points or not. Or is she just completely ignorant to this way of life that she hasn't had to go through. I should be blogging about this.

Liz~ I say you do what you feel is best for your family and your child. If you want to worry, you have plenty of reason to do so. Those who have never experienced a loss and a child struggle have no idea what it feels like.

Stacy~ Woohoo for Elim being fever free!!! I know you took a deep breath today!! Shhh....we won't celebrate too loud so it doesn't come back!

I'm sure her lungs weren't back to 100% for her just yet, so glad that you just had to get xrays and then go home. Only you know Tori best and know when she needs an extra look. Hugs momma!

Tracy: Glad Ansley is feeling better! Tons of prayers to you and your coworkers for tomorrow.

Now I'm debating going up to Illinois or not. It's about nine or ten hours of travel each way and we'll be there for two or three days not including travel days. Is it really worth the travel for Elim just to go see my Grandparent's house one last time? Their stuff won't all be in place, and I was going to drive by this summer too. So....hmm.....part of me wants to go, but part of me says it's not a good idea.

Liz~ Mommy always knows best!

Katie~ Woohoo for another quiet night! I saw that the race had been rained out yesterday, but didn't know what time it would air today.

The funeral was a beautiful celebration of Papa James' life! The kind words and funny stories about this man would've made him proud!

Ugh----got homework to do and really don't know where to start..... Seriously, why can't this be easier???

Arnara - Feb 27, 2012 10:27 pm (#288 Total: 319)

Tracy: So sorry about your friend's grandparent, I know you are a true friend of hers....... so you don't hate Mondays as much as we do.....

Stacy: So glad Elim is fever free, he really deserves a break, hope all the sick germs go away.... And just a piece of advice, try to get to the Baby Gym in the summer, less sickness kids, by experience S got all the flu viruses there......

Liz: So sorry for your neighbor's home, and your insensible SIL, and you are T mother so you knows what is best for her, I prefer to play it safe than sorry......

Katie: Oh you must be so proud of your kids..... congratulations Alex and Landen, and enjoy that girly time together......

Jackie: Glad you had a nice vacations down in Miami.....

So I got robbed on internet........ for that flower girl dress for my niece's wedding...... since a friend is staying in US I asked if I can send the dress so he can bring it to me......well I go to that dress site, and it said that my order couldn't be processed, to try again, so I try with a different card.... and nope I couldn't placed the order, so my credit card holder called me that they did 3 times the charge and they continue trying but the company holder saw it suspicious and block my card....... but those 3 charges I can't take off, only if the dress company delete them, I wrote an e mail, I even called to US and no answer.......... so angry here.......

Tracy-Good luck today with the big announcement.

We are FCAT testing today, boring!!!!!!!!! I am not testing, I am sitting with the kids that are not testing. Only the 8th graders test, so I am sitting here with the 7th graders.

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Tracy - I'm so sorry to hear about "Papa James." He sounds like a really special person and I'm so glad to know that you were pleased with the services. I hope Ainsley feels better soon. Ear aches hurt:( I'll be thinking about you today as you learn more about the fate of your schools/job. Hate the wait!

Liz - Yes, moms know BEST:) Well, not my mom, but most moms. Hope your little one is okay. Urgh, ER visit.

Jackie - Good that you were able to get away. A change of scenry is always nice for sure:)

Katie - Ooh, two nights of girl time and the house to yourself? Awesome! Sounds like a fun time for the men in your life too:) My school has AIMS testing today too. Got to love those state exams. Hubby has to proctor both days, but I'm sure there's a pee break in there somewhere.

Lorena - That's awful! I'm so sorry about that. I hope it wasn't too expensive. Still, that's such a bummer.

Lauren - I'm keeping so many things in mind to prepare for the home visit. The lady who called me to set up the appointment is super new and she's bringing someone with her. That sort of makes me nervous, but we'll see . . .

Stacy - Geez, that is quite a long drive. If you waited, will Charles be able to go with you in the summer? I can understand how sentimental and special it is. In 17 years, I've only gone back once to see the San Diego house I grew up in. It's weird and hard. To see what people do to the place you once called home is hard to swallow. So many memories . . .

I think I'm going to try and take Mr. T to get his hair cut this morning. It's time. He does really well with that now. Plus, he knows that my gal has tons of incentives waiting for him if he sits still. Whenever I tell him that he's getting a haircut, he says, "No, mommy moustache." Yeah, mommy gets that done there too:)

Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Liz-I hope Tori is feeling better now. I think some people are just insensitive. Just trust your instincts.

Lorena- I am so sorry about the internet. Internet charges are really hard to get rid of. I hope you have some luck.

Jackie- I could really go for a sunburn. It is spring break here but I am in my office. Not getting alot done but not getting tan either...I think I need to work on that.

Stacy- that is a tough call on the trip. SOmetimes it is better to have the memories but sometimes those types of trips can be fun with family recalling all of the memories together. I am glad Elim is feeling better.

Lindsay- Good luck with the home visit.

Tracy- Glad Ansley is better and I hope your homework got done.

I know I missed a lot of other things but I am so behind.
I met my first Share member last night and it was wonderful to put a face to such a great person. Got to meet Erin at our Family Teams Committee meeting. Also, Kaelin was even cuter in person.
Parent-teacher conference day. Sort of dreading the handwriting discussion since I already know the teacher wants to "discuss" our future strategy. Plus she barely has legible printing and in just six months she has to start cursive. Ugh. We'll see how this goes. Two more dental appts this week....Other than that just recovering from my FIL visiting...All in all not bad but definitely looking forward to the weekend...already Oh and Erin said she doesn't remember a pic of Abigail so here's one

Lorena, holy snooks! I'm so sorry about the brides maid dress site.

Stacy, I was scanning back through posts and noticed an error I made to you. I meant to say the inhaler isn't working, not the nebulizer. It wasn't working because it is a maintenance inhaler not the albuterol.

Any of you have a pencil tree? I can't find my st patty's day decorations for mine. Booo.

I've had the bubble guts all day, I'm not sure why my stomach hurts like this.

Season finale of Parenthood tonight. I love that show.

Lorena: Wow, I hope you're able to get a refund on that dress, how horrible!!

Katie: Booo!!! So what're you doing all day to keep you and the kids busy?

Lindsay: I decided to go, it'll give me a chance to look through the house to see if there's anything else of my Grandparents' that I really want. I'll be driving with my mom and brother in addition to Elim. This summer it'll just be Elim and I and Charles will be deployed so he couldn't come! LOL! Love what comes out of kids mouths.

Ellen: Aww, so glad that you got to meet Erin! What a cute picture! I hope the meeting goes better than expected and she's got a plan!

Took Molly in for her yearly checkup, this dog costs us a fortune! She's lucky we love her. They keep trying to pressure me to take her off of her steroids that she's been on for years. Um, no. Keeping her on them may shorten her life, but getting skin and ear infections every other week would too! At least on the steroids she's not miserable!

Arnara - Feb 28, 2012 11:25 pm (#295 Total: 319)

Ellen; So glad you met Erin, she is such a nice gal, and so envious you met Kaelin..... Didn't know your FIL visited you.... hahaha recovering from his visit, nice way to say it, hope you have "pleasant" dentist visit (if that could ever be possible) Oh Abby is so big, I remembered her last pic she looked younger, she is much older now, ooh cursive writing, S school has a very strange/hard cursive letter, old Spaniard (from Spain)......Enjoy your holidays...... Sandy is coming to visit my country.....

Stacy: Glad you decided for the trip.... with your bro and mother must be nice, and it is a nice way to chat all in a car....besides all the memories that you will have with them in your grandparent's house.... My DH wants to take us to Belgium were he grew up.... must be nice, besides they have the best chocolate......What causes the ear infections in Molly??? Maybe you can find another way around the problem......

Lindsay: What home visit??? Hope Mr. T had a nice hair cut visit, it is still a problem with S..... I have never cut miss V hair since she was born, but I am sure there will be no problem she loves that I do her hair and she stays very still, I was planning to cut her hair after the wedding in May, since she is going to be flower girl, and it is more easy with long hair.....

Katie: No idea what AIMS test are..... but they surely sound boring......

Tracy: I have been thinking of you all day, hope all is fine, I know you must be so nervous, but I think you are one of the teachers that schools can't turn down, so prepared, so responsible.....

So still arguing with the bank credit holder, and the dress company, I am even reading the Code of Federal Regulations 226.12(c) and 226.13 and California Civil Code to state my "credit back card charge" interesting..... so I am gathering all the documents to take to the bank, and also my country law of credit cards, but usually when a issuing bank signed with a credit card agrees to follow all the card regulations, and that can not be alter, even if the card was issued outside US...... Now I am so angry with my niece since she told me first that her future SIL already had the dresses now she told me that nope she has not.....ugh!

On a bright note I am enjoying my interior design class, now we are studying the theory of colors....interesting....

S and miss V are fine, just V has a strange rash, I better check that out.......summer and very hot days are starting here, and big holiday is approaching, also two-months unit tests for S..... I didn't remember all the parts of the cell I had to memorized in 4th grade, but I loved Science class....... S doesn't......

Lauren, Jackie, Geri, Donna, Samantha, Erin......hope all of you are fine.....

Ellen: How cool that you got to see/meet Erin! That's so awesome! I'm sure her cursive will come along. I dread parent/teacher conferences. I'm sending my hubby for the next one coming up soon.

Liz: Have fun with your show! Mine was on last night - 2 Broke Girls! FUN! My Wednesday line-up, after Nightly News with Brian Williams and some re-runs of 2 1/2 Men are Whitney and Are You There Chelsea? What's your sleep number? Do you know yet?

Lorena: AIMS (Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards) are the state exams for Arizona:) It takes two days to administer. A few years ago, students who scored HIGH could get FREE in-state college tuition. So, that was really cool and such a deal for parents. They did away with it though, so I'm going to keep saving and hope for a scholarship of some kind. The home visit is for Mr. T. He qualified for state services, but now we have to see if he is eligible for ALTCS (AZ Long-term care services). This would allow him 40 hours of habilitation, speech, OT, and other therapies.

I'm kind of with S. I didn't care for science too much. I was more into liberal arts. Your interior design class sounds fun!!! Can you come visit and make over my home on the cheap?

Something about credit card issues for a flower girl dress - Lorena....hope that gets resolved quickly. Babyproofing....Lauren I'm still finding cabinet locks and door latch covers in random drawers. Good luck with that. Liz - Hoping the in-home goes well!! I agree with Lauren. Ellen - Yay on meeting Erin and getting to see that sweet baby girl! Tracy - Hugs on the loss of your pseudo-grandfather.

Ski trip went pretty well (blog coming), except for my friend's son getting the stomach flu the night we all arrived. Grrrrrr. Totally praying none of my three get it, especially as Ryley has his overnight trip to the Revolutionary ship Friday. Book club for me tonight - YIPPEE!!!

Happy Leap Year Day! Abigail was super excited about it today. Her tutor get her revved up yesterday for it. She is so bubbly. Ahhh, to be 26 again.

I hope Ryley stays away from the flu.

Lorena- I am glad the classes are fun. I would love to know what to do in my house. I hope you get the dress fiasco resolved.

Lindsay- Sounds like a long week for you. Keeping my fingers crossed for long term services. How long until they tell you.

Stacy- Have a great time on the trip. I am sure you will find something there to remember your grandmother by. I always think heirlooms are not the expensive items but the best memories. Hope Molly stays healthy on the steroids.

P-T conference went fine. I still don't really understand the grading or not grading system. Anyhoo, it went fine and we came up with a handwriting plan. Now I just have to talk to her tutor. I went to my eighth (and hopefully last dentist) appt today so now I should get back to work. Talk to y'all later.

I'm leaping back into the "Love" cafe, lol...only one more day right! Happy Leap Day!

Liz- sorry to hear that Tori's been sick, i hope she's feeling better. As for you SIL- she's clueless! just because she has a psych degree doesn't mean she understands your perspective! of course you're going to worry about Tori!
Lorena- that sucks! i've been robbed before and it left me feeling so helpless and violated. good for you for trying to get back what you can, i hope it works.
Stacy- i say go for it! if you have the slightest urge to go, then you should go no regrets!

There's so much to catch up on, i guess i shouldn't wait so long to come back to the cafe. Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome
I'm feeling much better these days after my last blog post- i guess i just needed to vent and shouldn't let things build so much!
Yay for hump day, ready for the weekend already.

Stacy-I would do the same for my dog. Whatever it takes! I'd rather have a happy dog than a miserable dog!

Lorena-I would be fuming mad at future SIL. Why say you got the dresses if you didn't? As for the credit card...I'm so sorry. What holiday?

Lindsay-My Wednesday lineup is the same! Sleep number is 45!

Donna- Yuck on the little one's stomach flu! Praying it stays away from your family!

Ellen, 8 dentist appointments? -bitingmynails- I've an appointment on the 6th to START the work I need done. I'd rather poke my eyes out with pencils than go to the dentist.

Jennifer-So glad you are feeling better and nice to see you back in the cafe. Venting is good!

Tori had her final IFSP today. I'm overwhelmed at the thought we only have 6 more months of Early Intervention and then I'm on my own when it comes to advocacy for my child. Tori was overwhelmed by the time everyone was ready to go. There were 6 of us here and she had it....The Ipad was the only thing keeping her sane.(talking tom) She then proceded to go into anxious mode and cry for her bottle and Elly(her elephant). She cries for a bottle every time she gets nervous/scared/anxious...whatever.
17 days till my birthday. I'm inching closer to 40. I say this because I found my pencil tree decor for St. Patty's day...ha!

Happy leap day, everyone!

Liz: I forgot to ask what is a pencil tree decor? I would have to google it....... yes the future in laws of my niece are so snob, since the future SIL choose the dresses (I am still wondering why her and no my niece, the bride to be) in this site, I thought also they already had buy in there......I truly feel sorry for my niece and my sister, none in my family can stand the groom.......

Ellen: yooohooo for the last dentist appointment....

Jennifer: that is the feeling ....... but I won't let them get away even if I have to spend more money for that..... I will go to your blog.....

I didn't know that it is called leap year day, today.... So I head back to my homework I have to decorate 3 living rooms (pictures) with colors using 3 different color theories she gave us.......

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lorena: She gets the ear infections because of her allergies, they said it's very common for their allergy dogs to have skin and ear problems, which she has both when she's not on medication. Luckily the new meds are much cheaper than the old ones!

Ellen: After my Grandpa died, the thing I took was his hat, it was so Grandpa! Glad to hear that the appointment went well!

Jen: Glad you're feeling better after letting your feelings out!

Could've been a scary moment this morning, went in to get Elim from his crib and reached down to unzip his sleepsack and the zipper just fell apart in my hands. So glad it did it when I was in there and not when he was in there alone playing with it, because he could've choked on those bits! I called Halo and they're replacing it and sending me an envelope to return the broken one to send to quality control.

Hey ya'll!

I'm beat, but wanted to thank all of you for your well wishes.

The recommendation from the Superintendent last night only told what his wishes are for the school consolidation plans. I was hoping he would tell how they will decided who stays and who goes, but no so lucky to hear that. We do know that there will be a lot of people cut at the elementary level, but I'm trying to hang in there and stay positive.

Ellen~ So awesome that you got to meet Erin and the cutie pie!! Also, thanks for posting a newer pic of Abigail!! She's getting so tall!!

Liz~ Nah...no crying for you! She's not been 100%....who feels like eating when they don't feel good???

Lorena~ Wow! I hope you get the dress disaster fixed!

Ellen: The home visit is in two weeks and I'm told that it will take a few more weeks until we find out for certain. I've heard horror stories about the whole state services system. So far, everything is moving at a good pace. I'm trying to stay hopeful.

Lorena: Yeah, they want to check out the home environment while asking you the same question 5 different ways to see if your answers stay consistant. My husband and I are quizzing each other. Yes, I want our answers to sound rehearsed, but not too rehearsed. I bet it's fun to do a lot of different hairstyles with Miss V. Pretty cool Lorena:)

Liz: Hopefully she'll gain what she lost here soon. Got to be tough. Glad to know that you found your sleep number:) When your b-day?

Lauren: Hi! I know you're busy. Hope all is well with you. Feeling okay?

School fundraiser tonight. I've been e-mailing my derriere off and dropping off last minute flyers to get interest for this MOD fundraiser this weekend. This is the last one I've got planned for 2012 season, so I'm trying. One coin box I leave at my friend's store brings in at least $40, so that helps. Sorry I havent been on as much....so much going on between the house and other stuff. Promise will explain very soon just not ready yet.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Tracy...keeping fingers crossed for you. Terrible they are doing such lay offs. Nothing like keeping you stressed for so long. Praying your safe.

Maddie had her IEP today and must say it was easy breezy. See they arent all bad. Her teachers are the absolute best. We were really blessed this year. They are two of the sweetest women. They truly look out for her and keep her best interest in mind.
I didnt even need to ask for anything....all her therapist and teachers pretty much did everything I could want. In fact...one thing I wasnt to sure of was they wanted to get her a board of ed laptop cause she is so weak and cannot write more than 4 sentences at a time. I was a little opposed cause I didnt want her to *forget* how to write but they assured me they wouldnt let that happen and are only thinking how much harder second grade would be. They are awesome.

Lauren ...hope your feeling ok.

Donna fingers crossed no bug in your house...Maddies best friend at school was throwing up all day Maddie said...of course Maddie sits next to her and her mom couldnt get her so she had to suck it up in school....awesome. Praying Maddie didnt get to close

Stacy: I agree with that.... My DH's friend (the one I don't like) used to say, oh I hope that your baby is born on my Bday, I said no way my due date is in August, and his bday is in June, guess what, S was born that exactly same day..... sometimes I just worry S will turn just like him....so what you do if your baby is born on leap day??? Celebrate a bday every 4 years??? ......in my country is considerate a very good fortune to be born this day......

Jessica: Glad Maddie had a great IEP.....and hope she doesn't get sick...... enjoy your lady's night......

Tracy: that is awful, keep your nerves up and not knowing, it will be like a competition with your co workers.......

Lindsay: Good luck..... If it was me I would be suffering, knowing my kids and specially my DH he will surely forget all the right answers..... and S always forgets ..... That is awesome, if you get good grades you win a scholarship......

Good night I am going to bed.....

Well, we didn't get the flu, but Ryley is home today. Cough, low fever, headache, sore throat. He's supposed to go on his overnight field trip tomorrow. Not looking so good at this point. Full meds, home from school.

Jessica - I'm going to have to steal that idea of the mom's night out. So trying to get more active volunteers from our families. Yay for a great IEP. Praying the stomach bug stays away for her.

Lorena - Which food list? Oh, for the boys? Just basically anything with red dye in it. You can try the whole gluten-free thing. I know some friends who have. Not always successfully, especially with youngers. It just wasn't feasible for us.

Stacy - How scary! So glad it did wait to fall apart until you were in there.

Tracy - Fingers and all crossables crossed for you!!!

Liz - Boo on the weight loss. Sigh....Maybe because she hasn't been feeling good? Mine never eat the same when they're sick like that.

My dogs are going crazy - the house across the street is having solar installed so there are all kinds of workers swarming over there. Of course my dogs think anyone they can see out the front window is in "their" territory and they *have* to bark at them. Driving me insane!

February is just too darn short... what are we thinkin' for the March cafe mommas?

Arnara - Mar 1, 2012 9:35 pm (#315 Total: 319)

Nope Donna, I respect parents that do that, but I don't believe in that diet, I mean the list you told me about the nutrients, to put more meat on S bones...... tips for more caloric intake so he can gain weight....... Oh your crazy dogs, put some blindfolds on their eyes.... my dog never barks, she is all sweetness, I think if thiefs enter my house, she will move her tail and follow them all around.... I think she thinks herself human.....

Today I had one of those days were I see or heard sad stories.....that make me so sad..... one, of my school teacher, she was little older than me (I was a senior and it was her first year as teacher), she was diagnosed with level IV ovary cancer with metastasis in her lungs 7 years ago.... she had at that time 2 small kids, of 4 and 6, and the husband just left her, she had no medical insurance, and she and her mom have live almost of charity of friends and family these last couple of years...... she is her 3rd round of chimio of 8 sessions each. And I read on her FB wall how happy and grateful she is with life...... And another friend little boy, more less the same age of my V is in hospital he fell and broke his skull. He has to be in bed rest for 2 months...... her older son is with S in school..... I told her not to worry about her older son, I can pick him up and do homework here with S, or anything she need...... so is just one of those days when I hug my kids tight and count my blessings....

Hugs to all of you

Lorena

Lorena - Got it. Let me find the list. I know she had us adding peanut butter (on toast, on waffles/pancakes), putting Carnation Instant in his milk....trying to think of other stuff. But I'll track the paper down and send you an email.

Heartbroken

I can never keep up with the cafe. I would like to suggest The Time MARCHes On Cafe. So what if it's also from a Metallica song? It's true.

Rock on!

Shannon

Hey Shannon!!! Good to see you in here.

Thinking the chances of Ryley going on this field trip are slim to none. Fever has gone down to pretty normal, but what a junky cough. And if he goes, he'll be out in the night air (typically 30-40 degrees) on the Bay for two hours at least. Ummmm........yeah.

Lauren~ Lots of names for the March Cafe' have been thrown out through the posts between this one and my last one.....if you need help! You always do such an awesome job!!

Donna~ Poo on Ryley not feeling great enough for the field trip. Seriously, that's one brave teacher....overnight field trip--NO WAY!! Course I don't enjoy allowing sleepovers at my own house either.

Stacy~ Too funny on the Leap Day baby!! My friend's mom was born on Leap Day. She always celebrated on the 28th, but liked to rub it in that she was "younger" than us!!

I must have brain cells drying up by the minute! I can't remember anything lately!!!

No word on when we'll know about our jobs, but the principals have asked for them to work on that so that they can inform their staffs. It's just sad to think about folks losing their jobs through no fault of their own. You know....if someone is not doing their job then you can handle it, but a Reduction In Force doesn't have to have a "reason" or anything "wrong". They just need less people.

Hopefully soon!
