I'm having a very bad toothache. I try looking on the net to try using things around my house so I dont have to visit a dentist but it's not working for me. My pain is comming from the inside of a tooth that has a crown over it. Now I cant stand the pain no longer. It's starting to hurt my chin and my left ear. I want to get it put out but i dont know is safe for the baby. Please help I need advise...

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Ouch, that sounds just terrible. Your best bet would be to put in a call to your OB and dentists office. When it comes to dentists from what I understand the big no no is x-rays while pregnant... but your OB and dentist will be the best ones to guide you.

I hope it is taken care of soon, it sounds very painful.

Definitely check with your OB first and then schedule your dental appointment. I was able to have some dental work done while pregnant, but was not allowed to have an xray.

Hope you feel better soon.

Heartbroken

Definitely get it checked out! Antibiotics may help if it's an infection causing the pain. If you get it under control, maybe you can wait until the baby comes to have major dental work.

Good luck!

So sorry for the toothache!

I agree with the ladies, please put in a call to your OB and your dentist.

There is some research that came out about the importance of good oral care during pregnancy...I am not saying this to scare you - just that it is really important to get it checked out.

Good luck and I hope you get some relief soon!

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Hi and welcome to Share. Ugh, the toothache sounds painful. You should call your dentist and OB to make sure any procedures the dentist may want to do are safe for baby. Good luck!
