Katie, I'm totally jealous of the 34lb weight loss! You're doing amazing. I don't have the dedication to be on a weight loss program right now... or I'm just a little bit lazy! Can't wait to hear if Alex gets into the Charter school, I hope she does. Liz, I can't believe they took Tori's clothes off her - weird. I wouldn't want strangers undressing my child, really weird. Stacy, that picture of Elim is adorable. Trevor also loves to stand on inappropriate things. I have a picture of him standing on top of his toy garage. Donna, want to have lunch with me on Thursday, the 30th, of August? That night is my cousin's rehearsal dinner so we are free all day until we need to go to that. So last night at work I couldn't find my keys, looked all over. My friend ended up driving me home so I could get the spare set and then driving me back to work so I could get my car. I had left my purse in my car and was hoping my keys were in there - I looked, they weren't there. So I was sure I had lost them. Turns out I didn't look good enough and Matt found my "lost" keys in my purse Oh, and I found out at the meeting today that Nathan's language is ABOVE normal for his age, and his speech is just inside of average! That is amazing considering he's only been speaking since September!!

Jessica~ CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Sooo....different from girls, but so much fun!! (And I'm just an aunt to boys!!! ) Katie~ 34 lbs. down means you can kick that teacher's butt without getting out of breath!!!! I'm still ticked about that, and am glad that she's backtracking now because she knows that she was in the wrong. Make her "fear" you!!! You know what that means.....be "that" parent for the next 5 weeks! Donna~ Oh, I so want you to post that pic!!! I'll just bet that my "lived in" and your "lived in" are totally different!! Stacy~ So stinkin' cute standing on top of that slide! My friend's son is exactly the same....complete with the big grin of accomplishment! Laura~ Woohoo on Nathan's speech eval!!! He gets that from his momma I'll bet!! Glad T's fever is gone! You should get your money back for that test since they never told you anything. Dare ya to call them and tell them that! Lorena~ Chucky Cheese is there too?????!!!! I'm so not a fan of that place and would hate to know that even out of country I could be stuck there. UGH---shuttering to think of it! Lindsay~ So far, so good....I guess, on the test. Tomorrow is regular schedule, but Tuesday and Wednesday we have two more sections to do. I think there is more security on those test booklets then there is on my money at the bank. Love the Holland story as always! So true!!! "Holland" has a lot of understanding and friendly people. Okay--seriously found the straightening up fairy!!! When I got home today my landlords (my mom) had cut my grass. That's nothing new....I don't own a lawnmower anymore. Anyway, she came inside to wash her hands or something and felt like I might could use a bit of help. Yes, it was just a bit of straightening and sweeping the floors, but that's HUGE to me. Also, my fridge was cleaned out!!!!!! Yep----that's one of my least favorite jobs! Anyway, I love my mom......she's awesome!

Liz-I love getting new shoes! I am not sure what the protocol is for changing your kid, I always pack a gallon ziplock with a change of clothes for my kids when they stay in the gym daycare.
Last day of state testing!!! Back to the gym next week since I don't have to be at work until 9 next week!

Guess who is the new assistant coach for Nathan's t-ball team... if you guessed ME you'd be right!! I think it will help him be more willing to try and play since yesterday at practice he just sat on the bench and cried the whole time since he was scared he wouldn't be able to keep up with the other kids.
Tomorrow is opening day, pray for nice weather so it doesn't get postponed!

Katie: Fingers crossed Alex gets in, that would be awesome! Aww, wish I could go!!
Laura: Today it was his megablock table.
SO tired, was hoping to try to wean Elim into sleeping all night, but that's out the window now that he's got a snotty nose and low-grade fever. Can't let him work it out himself if he's feeling sick, poor baby. His throat looks fine, and I'm gonna assume his ears are too since I don't see any extra drainage, just the good ole snot nose stuffiness.

Lauren,I know nothing of the roomba, except it is expensive. And totally cool about the garage sale.
Kate, xoxo
Tracy, cool on the concert held by your church. Sounds like fun for Ansley!
Church and bible study after church this morning....Bible study talking about miracles and how many miracles have happened in our church family....Yes I was blubbering like a fool....You can't bring up my kid and not expect me to cry. The perspective came from another member of my church, speaking of T's hospital days and ups and down, and weekly updates from our pastor....said some things I had no idea about seeing as I was not in church for almost 6 months after T was born.
You know whats extremely odd...As I just typed that, my phone rang and it was the member of my church who spoke of T.
Odd...bbl

Kate St. Clair~ You're so sweet!!! I've made it pretty easy....my blog is old news!! Lauren~ I don't have a Roomba, but I agree....closest thing to the cleaning fairy that I know of! Go for it!!!! Liz~ Totally cool that your church family was there to keep everyone posted on T. during those difficult days. The concert was great!!! The guys really shared a great message through song and the audience was very much a part of the show! Ansley made her way to the stage when they asked that everyone come closer and ended up at the feet of the bass guitarist! Needless to say, at any time, she could've reached out and touch him and most of the time the lead singer as well. She got autographs from both groups and was super excited with the whole night!! Got tons of homework to get done. I think a week off of class means that I'm suppose to work a little along, but my brain doesn't work that way so......homework it is. UGH!

Howdy all!! Back safely from AZ. I'll try to catch up.
Kate - So good to *see* you around here. Thought of you this weekend....had a cheeseburger today. And fries. Aren't you proud?
Lauren - Yipee on the Roomba. I so want one of those. So cool about your neighbor holding that garage sale. Awesome.
Laura - ON MY CALENDAR!! Thursday August 30th it is.
Tracy - I can just see Ansley now. Love it. And so awesome of your mom to be your cleaning fairy. Small things sometimes make the most difference.
Liz - I love getting new running shoes. You go. And I'm a bucket of tears too whenever anyone talks about miracles.
Katie - Good job girlfriend on the weight loss. So wish I could go to that mixtape show. Cool.
Stacy - He'll get there. But you're right - you can't wean for the night when he's not feeling well. Poor little man.
Wedding was absolutely beautiful. And I didn't mess up or cry while I sang. Made it home in time for Grace's two soccer games. Now it's time to focus on the poker tournament. Oh, and I have some could-be-bad news.....My 25th high school reunion (yes, I do know I'm totally old) is the same weekend as SU. Michael says to go to SU. And I can't imagine not being there. But I want to go to my reunion too. Sigh.....

Help yourself to brownies for babies anytime, Lauren. We used to have a Roomba, but after we got Sandy she attacked it every time we tried to use it, so I gave it to my sister. It only worked well on small areas anyway and took a long time, but maybe technology has improved in the last 6 years.
My brain is too fuzzy to comment on everyone's goings-on right now. I woke up with a toothache on Saturday morning (of course it can't happen when the dentist is open!) I'm taking tomorrow off to try to get into the dentist and see what's going on. It seems so random. Anyway, I'm up way too late trying to catch up on a few things because I'm too grumpy to sleep.

Tracy- So glad the concert was stupendous. I hate catch-up homework.
Great weekend. Birthday party, turns out my kid can sort-of roller blade (kudos to the ice skating lessons) and soccer game in 40 degree weather. The kids didn't seem to mind and dinner out with friends. I guess that means back to work today. Have a great Monday ladies. I hope all the kiddos (and mamas) stay healthy today.

Bah...That GD SIL has to ruin my Sunday dinner. More at my blog.
Donna, nice to hear of a good wedding and safe trip home.
Ellen, it is a tad cold out for soccer. It's super freezing out, now.
Lauren, I know, right?! Her ears were burning!
Shannon, I blame all of my dental problems on Donna. Ever since she motivated me to go to the dentist, I've had 3 dentist appointments, a 4th on Friday...Percocet and valium to help me through my wisdom teeth and cavity trauma's. I will say, my face doesn't hurt nearly as bad as it used to...for that matter, after Friday, I doubt it will hurt at all.
I'm not on the ball today...bbl

Laura: Congratulations on your new position...... coach assistant.....
Liz: sorry SIL has ruined your Sunday..... heading to your blog.....awesome on the 3 miles
Lauren: I think I need a double cup of coffee (or better a big pot) every Monday, and each week is harder to get back to track.....
Katie: way to go girl! 34 pounds it is awesome......happy anniversary to you too.....
Donna: Glad you had a great WE and a nice wedding and you got still time to make it to Grace's soccer game.... really you must have extra hours hidden somewhere.......
Tracy: Well if you come to my country I am sure you will not stuck up in Chuck E Cheese.... there are hundreds of restaurants here, you can chose whatever kind of food you want..... and yes kids are the same kids, here, there or even in china I think, they love pizza and video games......and marketing knows how to get money from parents......I will be crossing my fingers for you and this May 4th, I am sure everything will be all right......

Katie - Congrats on the weightloss! That's wonderful! Weight Watchers, huh?
Lorena - Happy Anniversary (religious one)! So sweet that ya'll are missing your exchange student. Good luck with the dress search:)
Lauren - So neat that your neighbors did that garage sale. Yum, brownies:) Our sale didn't go as well as hoped, but it was HOT out, so it's really okay. If the automatic cleaner will give you more time with your family, go for it! Hey, for my anniversary, I wanted my carpets cleaned:) Lame, yes, but practical.
Stacy - Cute pic of Elim with his li'l slide. I have that chair in the background:)
Tracy - Sounds like you all had a nice time at the concert:) I have a feeling you'll be chaperoning may more concert nights. I know what you mean about the money they spend on scantrons. Makes me ill too.
Donna - I'm so glad that your performed sans tears. I bet it was wonderful! Really neat too that you made it home in time for Grace's game(s).
Okay, so the garage sale didn't go well, but it was 105 here this past weekend. We took turns being out there, but we called it after two hours. Not a lot of traffic. My Scentsy candle lady came through with her donation, so I'm pleased there. On the speech front, a new clinician for Mr. T tomorrow. Hoping we'll get to keep that time slot. Our re-fi on our mortgage went through, so yay for that, and now I'm sniffing around for a different home/auto insurance carrier. Anything to save a few more bucks!

Lorena~ Happy Anniversary! Sorry that your other son had to go back to his house, but what a great experience! Donna~ Glad the wedding and the "duties" that you had for it went well. What song did you sing?? As for the decision for SU or Reunion.....I say SU! Only because I know you're a FB-er, so you're probably in touch with all of those classmates anyway. Ellen~ Glad the skating party went well. Ansley hasn't tried roller blades...she has enough problems on 4 wheels spaced out. Shannon~ Ouch! Good luck on the tooth issue. That's just miserable at it's finest. Liz~ I must check out the blog. Okay---must get back to my papers. UGH..... I'm okay with the individual classes, but the ongoing research class is killing me! What's up with the weather??? Our temps are highs in the low 60's today! The sun is beautiful, but the wind will blow you away!! Okay, so I'm over 70 posts behind. Ugh. Definitely not helping my self esteem to know that's I've been slacking so much on Share! We had the first of our March for Babies walks this weekend. It went ok but was cold and SUPER windy! Now I'm just counting the days until Sunday when we have our other 2 walks for our division. I think we're in decent shape getting ready for them, but I've also got that horrible "uhoh" feeling in the pit of my stomach. I'm sure I forgot something! Lindsay - 105?! We got like 4 inches of snow last night and with leaves already on a lot of trees (like my lilacs) it did some damage. Hope you can find a great deal on insurance! Katie - That stinks about the charter school. I didn't realize they were so competetive. There is only one in my area and it's open enrollment. I hope you can work something out to keep things moving forward in a positive way where she is. Tracy - I thought you finished school?! Good luck with all the papers. Lorena - Happy Anniversary. Wow, those two weeks went quickly. It's probably nice having your own family back. Lauren - I would totally take a pet Roomba right now! Sandy is shedding her body weight in hair (and that's saying a lot). I ended up with a surprise root canal today. It was pretty traumatic. I need to be mentally prepared for these things! I like to make the appt, cancel the appt, make it again, and actually go the second time At least it's over now. My jaw is so sore from being just abused because it was a far back molar that needed the work. Not how I wanted to spend the day. I need to go to bed, but I've been loopy on Vicodin most of the day and I really wanted to finish this school work!

Shannon: Haha! I'm not sure if Molly would run from it or attack it, maybe run at first then attack once she got used to it. Ouch ouch ouch, I hate toothaches, I'm such a baby when it comes to hurting teeth. Oh wow, then you must've had a bad one! I've had a few root canals, not fun. Liz: Oooh, no pain in the face will be so nice and then you can say you're finally done with it all! Till next year when you go back in for your yearly Lorena: I hate letting him cry, but at some point it just becomes survival and knowing he needs to figure out how to sleep through the night! Happy anniversary!! Lindsay: Um....105?! Already? Jackie: Don't be so hard on yourself! In a few more weeks I'm sure you'll have a bit more time! Today was definitely a Monday. Ugh...I ended up putting Elim in the car and driving around looking for something to do, anything, out of the house before I went bonkers from the whine coming out of him. Went to A&W root beer and got a root beer float.....sad that I threw it out and went to sonic to get one because theirs were better. I mean, really?! They're A&W for crying out loud, they should have the best floats around!

Shannon-You poor thing, that would be traumatic to me too!!! Charter School's are so hard to get in to down here, that' where all of our public funding goes, so sad!
Stacy-I love me some Sonic! I have those days over the summer where the kids are just so bored and I have nothing to do with them! Thank goodness we live right near the beach!

Ellen, fantastic about the birthday party! AND soccer! Will I see you tomorrow at our family teams meeting?
Lorena, Happy Anniversary! 13 years! Congrats! Glad you had a good weekend!
Lindsay, Sorry the garage sale didn't go as planned, and 105 degrees? It was so cold and yucky out yesterday and the day before, it's hard to imagine 105! Fantastic on the Re-fi as well. As for insurance, we use progressive on house, cars, motorcycle, boat, quad and trike and save 37% on all due to bundling. We pay all of the motorcycle, boat, quad, and trike up front which gives us another discount, and do the automatic drafts out of our account and geta discount for that.
Katie, it's hard to get into charters around here, too. Unless you know someone of course. We have a fine arts charter school I'd like to get T into, but the pre-k is first come first serve and they only take 25 kids. We shall see.
Jackie! Hi nice to see you! The uh-oh in the pit of your stomach I'm sure is nothing. I just got a call YESTERDAY telling my our walk on Sunday will be moved due to construction of the current place it is every year. Tori and I go to this park at least 3 times a week and it's been under construction since last summer. I just got a call yesterday....-shrugs- I'm sure this weekend will be fine and I know you are doing a great job with the MOD.
Shannon, -gags- on the root canal. That is exactly why I hate the dentist...they do stuff like give you root canals! Booo!
Stacy, I would have opted for the better tasting float as well! I've never been to a sonic...I don't even know where the closest one is.
Lauren, I don't believe you bought the roomba. Make sure you let us know how it goes.
It's so cold. Today is a much better day than yesterday. Yesterday was Freezing and so windy. My one single tulip that came up about 2 weeks ago is officially dead. You know when you accidentally freeze lettuce and it becomes nearly transparent....that's what happened to my tulip. They finally found the guy that stole 2.3 million dollars from the armored truck in Pittsburgh. Dude killed his partner (truck driver)and stole all the money after a couple pick ups one of which was home depot and another from the casino. They found him in a crack house in Florida. Imagine that.
A new bible study starts tonight. That's my excitement. I'm trying to become a good christian somehow. My jealousy of others, evil thoughts of others and gutter mouth are not helping me.
bbl...

Katie - I'm sorry about the charter school. Urgh, so you guys are making a plan to get through the next few weeks. She'll have a different teacher though next year right? Cool that you have the beach:) I just bought (3) bottles of sunscreen yesterday on clearance. That should get us through a month or so.
Lorena - It's HOT!
Lauren - Sacre Bleu (and oh there is an accent aigu over the "e" in sacre, but can't seem to figure out insert symbol here on Share). Come on confirmation e-mail!
Jackie - Good that you got a few walks in your division out of the way. Hoping you guys have some good weather for yours. I was finally able to catch the re-run of the March of Dimes bike yesterday. Really neat looking. Who was the lucky winner?
Shannon - I know, the weather is crazy! I caught the news yesterday and saw pics of the East Coast - SNOW!!! It hasn't been this hot here this early in a long time. We've never gotten in our pool in March before. I'm hearing forecast of some rain, so that would be nice. Sorry to hear about the root canal. Hope your're feeling better - less loopy from the meds. I was LOL about the scheduling an appt, then cancel appt., etc. Guilty here as well!
Liz - I'll have to check out Progressive. We've had Nationwide for the past 10 years and we bundle, but American Family is the one I'm talking to right now. Hubby used to have that one back in the day.
Hmm, I think my clinician is bummed that we can't have her over on a weekly basis. We're just getting started, but I fear we might have "conflicting schedules" because we're not a cash cow for her.

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!! |
|
|
Katie, so sorry to hear that she didn't get in to the Charter school. At least the teacher is being nice to her now... Donna, I can't wait to see you! At least if you have to miss SU I will have just seen you in August so I won't have to go 2 years without a dose of some fabulousness Lauren, I can't wait to hear how the rumba is! Our walk is this weekend and as expected they are predicting terrible weather - cold and rainy. I have a meeting at the MOD office tonight, hopefully we can get all the last minute details ironed out for a rain plan. We shouldn't be suprised though, it rains every year. Now I'm off to make dinner for Trevor...

Katie - So sorry Alex didn't get into the Charter school. Go Momma Bear in that meeting. That teacher should be seriously sucking up. Liz - I am SO sorry I convinced you to go to the dentist. That totally stinks. Thank goodness for the meds, huh? And really? They just called now to say the walk was moved? Jackie - Don't be so hard on yourself. Life happens. And getting a few of these walks out of the way will take a load off for you. You're almost there! Shannon - Boo!! No one should ever get that kind of surprise going to the dentist. I'll come punch him for ya. Lorena - Happy (religious) anniversary!!! You're just a few months behind me and Michael (we hit 13 years in December). Tracy - Get those papers done? And yes, I do keep up with a bunch of hs classmates via FB, but it would be nice to see them in person, plus my kids have never seen my HS, been to a football game there, met any of my hs friends. Sigh....I know no matter which I choose I'm going to be bummed about missing the other one. Lauren - Did someone say Sonic? mmmmmmmmm Let me know how the Roomba does. Yay you! Lindsay - It was ridiculously hot for late April in AZ this past weekend. I sang "From This Moment" by Shania Twain. I think Mondays are going to do me in before long. I was SO tired last night, I thought the spaghetti sauce I'd frozen was chili. Discovered after ten minutes in the microwave it wasn't the chili I was looking forward to, and I had no motivation to cook any noodles at that point. I nearly cried. Working frantically on our poker tournament. The raffle and silent auction are looking pretty lame at this point. Just not getting the donations for them this year. Bummed.

Liz: Sounds like someone didn't go check out the location before choosing it for the walk. Aww, your poor tulip Lindsay: Bummer, but sounds like a good plan for getting rid of her. Lauren: Woohoo for a no effort cleaning fairy! Donna: HAHA! I've totally done that too, thought I was cooking chili and it was really spaghetti sauce, always a let down. I've got balsamic chicken in the crock pot and banana pudding in the fridge for ladies night tonight! All I gotta do is slice up some veggies for a colorful veggie saute and break off the ends of asparagus to saute and I'll be done! Love crock pot meals for this, means I'm less stressed in the end. Man, Elim is still napping, this never happens! At least he'll be in a good mood tonight instead of a little tooter butt.

Stacy: Yum! Sounds good! What time is it where you are? You're probably getting ready to eat that yummy meal.
Lauren: Yay, it's on its way! Yeah, we'll just have to wait and see. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of in-home clinicians who are willing to drive to my area. Originally, I had something set up to go to the clinic in Feb, but we got cancelled twice. There are SLPs, but for the same hourly rate, I do want someone with a degree.

So frustrating on the in-homes. Grrrrr. Trying to figure out a social group for E for during the Summer. I don't want him to lose what he's gained the past couple of months. Donna - I hear you. I'm looking for a camp or something for Mr. T. It isn't easy is it?
Lauren - You can put me in Cali! It will always be "home" for me. We visit often and it's where we go to get away. Sure, send me her contact info./e-mail. I am also checking out a few other places. I'm hoping there's a college student out there who needs hours.
On top of the ALTCS approval waiting game, speech clinicians, and shady beforeschool care programs, I'm trying to decide whose waiting list to be on next. A developmental pediatrician wants us to do some testing and we're okay with that, but I have to decide if I'm going to go with CARE or Phx. Children's. Urgh . . . OMG CARE is so expensive, but the other has a longer wait list.

Stacy: That chicken and banana pudding sound delicious...... specially to me since I am on diet.... yes Katie inspired me, hope to lose at least 10 pounds.... but is killing me..... why it is that when you are on diet you have social engagements which means eating... Katie: so sorry about Alex teacher, I have been dealing with horrible S teachers the last 4 years, and it is a very uncomfortable situation.... but you have to defend your kids..... good luck, hope next school year Alex has an awesome teacher....... Liz: good luck in your Bible course..... Donna: oh yes you have to come to SU, already 25 years of graduation?? must be interesting to see all ....we, some school friends, have been gathering since last year and it has been fun to meet again.....I don't know that song....too funny about the sauce..... oh chili, yummy.... Tracy: I forgot to comment that I hope you had a nice time at the concert..... I took the boys to school concert, I was not willing to go, but It was great, since the group was famous in my school years, I didn't know the singer graduated from S school, so it was like a remembrance to school years..... I had fun..... Lauren: You will make us all envy your clean up house by a robot.... almost like a fairy..... tell us about it...... Shannon: sorry about your tooth.... I have to visit the dentist but I am sooo chicken...... Lindsay: Here also it is too hot......100, but we had some rain in the afternoons...... So sorry about your sale garage...... Please stop talking about food, who mention the brownies and the cookies??? with my diet situation I would had bought them all.....
This Saturday it is my nieces wedding..... and I can't find a dress... the ones I like are so expensive, seems like I will have to decide soon....
A friend brought me miss V flower girl dress, it is so gorgeous, not with that store on line, I couldn't buy it, not even my friend that lives in US...... thankfully they retired the charges on my credit card.....
Today was V school picture..... we have been practicing her photo smile.....so funny that girl..... I have been worrying for her, I have notice that she doesn't defend herself from kids agression, and she cries low, I have never been in this situation, with S was the other way around, kids were scare of him, I sent a note to the teacher, to ask her to please put an eye on her.... thank goodness teachers love her..... Happy Wednesday...... We have a long WE since next Tuesday is labor day, so no school on Monday and Tuesday..... Lorena

I know you'll come to the right decision though because you're an awesome momma! Lorena: Oooh, you're on a tight deadline to find a dress!! So glad they got that credit card mess all sorted out. Here's the recipe for balsamic chicken, it was so delicious served over bowtie pasta!
http://crockingirls.com/recipes/main-dish/chicken/balsamic-chicken.html Oh Mr. Elim man decided to make a toy out of my computer and pull it off the couch resulting in a static screen like when you change the tv to a channel that has nothing on it. Luckily a restart fixed it right up, scared me!! We're having a cookout on Saturday with Kalua Pork and stuff....one of the guys asked if you make it with the liquor. Um, no guess that's what happens when you don't live on an island anymore!

Liz - Good luck at the dentist.
Lauren - Rosie - love it. And I'm so totally jealous.
Stacy - Hope you and Elim feel better quickly!!
Katie - Very cool on the camp for Alex. We just signed Ryley up for golf camp (again). I think Ethan is going to camp at Legoland (through our Y). Grace has to choose between dance camp and soccer camp.
Geri - Hope things settle down for you, and Alaina feels better. Good luck with your walk!!
Well, after working on it nearly all day Tuesday, the poker tournament is coming together. We're up over 50 people attending now, and almost 20 raffle/auction items. Carpets and tile got cleaned yesterday, and I'm starting to knock things off the house to-do list. I can't get over how clean and pretty my kitchen tile is now. I keep staring at it. lol

Donna: Glad to hear that things are coming together, sounds like it's going to be a great turnout!!
Feeling much better today! Of course not I've got this nice rash on my neck that I always get after I've been sick, at least it's not itchy or anything.

Liz - Hope your class was a good time for ya.
Donna - Yay, for clean tile! I know what you mean. The before and afters are just crazy. You think, really, my grout was that color before?! That one's been on my list too, but holding off for a bit longer. Maybe after monsoon season. Dust, dust, and more dust. Glad to hear that all is falling into place for the upcoming poker tournament. Go lady!
Stacy - Sorry, hope you feel better and neck returns to normal color.
Lauren - I love that you named it Rosie! I'm glad it's working out for you. I know it's a bit hard to bend forward right now, so I know you're in love with it:)
Geri/Jackie - Good luck with your walks:)
Lorena - Promise to stop talking about desserts. So, it's been warm in your area? With the wedding you're attending, is there a reception following (in/outside). I hope that you were able to find that dress okay.
Well, I put us on a waiting list at Phx Children's for August. I still might go with the other place though. Still have to see. We're looking at insurances (everything really) to see what's going to get us better coverage overall. Pretty high deductible right now. Would be great if I knew what our ALTCS status was before hubby had to make his final decision about benefits at work. Of course, it never happens like that. Oh gosh . . . it never ends.

Liz- Did you make it through ok?
Donna- Dang woman! Rock on with your bad Poker self!
Tracy- Hope all news on the job front is good news. And oooh how I miss a lovely spring thunderstorm/rain. At least I think I do. I'd probably change my tune if I was in one.

I was very productive today. I vacuumed while I ate dinner and while giving Micah a bath. Ok... I didn't. Rosie did! She is so cool!

Tracy: Ugh on the waiting, but I'm glad it's finally almost here for you to find out about the job. Hugs and prayers! Lorena: It was great! One of the girls just got back from deployment and it was her first night back with us so it was great catching up! She's adopting a little boy from South Korea so nice to get a little update about that. It's the hurry up and wait game for there with all the paperwork that has to be done now. Aww, I bet she grows out of the shyness, my brother did! Lauren: Look at you and your multitasking abilities! Oh, I just saw Akeelah's ripple and Micah's milestones on your original blog and I love it! Love that you're still able to record milestones for Akeelah too. Have Kalua pork in the crock pots and almost everything ready to go for the cookout tonight! Just have to throw together the cole slaw, make tater tot casserole and pumpkin pie crunch then we'll be good to go! Oh, and a few last minute cleanups too.

hi, where to start. Friday....Booooo! My wisdom teeth and a cavity, my face is aching. Saturday-Prepping for our M4B's. Getting every thing ready and church last night. Today-HOORAY! Our walk was fabulous. Perfect weather. I ran the mission table and was overwhelmed with emotion a few times during our walk. So many wonderful family and friends, old and new, it was just great. T is napping, I'm relaxing, and Mike is fixing a gift that was given to me today and he broke it within 10 seconds of touching it. More pics to follow in my blog, after I get them. Picture of Tori and Daddy. ps-my face is still aching, but I didn't want to be on pain drugs during our walk and/or talking the mission. I'm just waiting for those puppies to kick in now. bbl.........

Liz- Your walk pic is gorgeous! Wow, trees and green! I forget what the rest of the country looks like. I guess the desert can do that to a person. Hope you were able to recover quickly after those emotional moments. Sorry about your dental stuff. Ouch. Hugs lady!
Stacy - Your recipes sound super yummy!
Tracy - We've been having some weird weather here too. We went from super hot to some actual rain this past week. Crazy!
Lauren - Picture perfect beach days sound dreamy:) Sounds like you're having a ball with your robotic maid. So neat! No major plans here.
Just getting ready for another week here. I washed AND waxed my car on Friday. Mr. T helped me - so cute! Grocery shopping is out of the way (3 stores-I hop around), laundry almost done, new stash of library books/videos in the house and hubby cleaned up our front yard. We've been hanging out by the pool and Mr. T is taking a nap. It's wonderful! Finally getting another chance on the computer (good grief) to do my stuff. Only 4 more weeks left of the school yearl. I'm getting tired of lesson planning for my long-term sub. I know that she appreciates it though. I used to send off the daily agendas around 6 a.m., but lately it's more like 7:30. It's beginning to look a lot like . . . summer:)

Katie - Saw the boat picture on FB. Looks so beautiful and relaxing!!! Can your hubby give my lessons on the grocery shopping thing, please?
Tracy - Saying prayers and crossing everything for your job.
Liz - The weather for your walk looks gorgeous!! So happy it went well. Sending pain-free vibes your way.
Lauren - That's taking multi-tasking to new levels. I'm oh so jealous. Wait, I think I may be repeating myself. lol. Beach.....aaaaahhhhhh!!!!
Lindsay - Probably good to keep all options open. It'll work out.
Stacy - Patiently awaiting the kahlua pork recipe. YUM!! I'm still speechless over seeing your team shirts at the San Diego M4B yesterday. Jane was absolutely so sweet. Her husband was probably wondering who this crazy person approaching his wife was. He took it all in stride.
Lorena - you'd look fabulous in whatever you pick to wear. Yay for Miss V!!
Busy weekend here (I know, repeating myself again). Worked the Family Teams tent at our big walk yesterday. There were over 11,000 people walking! Insanity. So amazing. Ryley had a baseball game (he went 2 for 3, scored twice), Grace had Spring Showcase at her dance studio, church this morning, then Grace's last Spring soccer game this afternoon (she scored a goal!). Now just working on the house to get it ready for next weekend. What are the chances I'll paint one room, make curtains for three rooms, clean the entire downstairs, re-upholster four patio chairs, and get all the food/drink before 6pm next Saturday? Right....I know I'm over-reaching.

Nope, still not magazine worthy, but trying to get close to that - hopefully before I'm too old to see it anymore. If you could just see all the clutter, banged up walls, half-finished baseboards, curtainless windows, etc....ugh. We are our own worst critics, right?

Lauren - Grrrrrr on the rain! I've never been a huge Brad Pitt fan either. Don't get why people think he's so attractive. But he did a good job in that movie. Maybe I'm a little biased because it's about my favorite team? Your MFM rocks!!
Stacy - Good luck with the ear follow-up!
Katie - Right? I can tell you where all the marks and dings are on the walls, where the kids have colored on the walls, where the playdoh is in the carpet, where the red wine spill is on the couch, where the baseboards are not perfectly flush with the wall. But realistically, when people come over, I doubt they see any of it.

Stacy: I truly hope miss V grow out of her shyness but as a kid because shy kids have some trouble ..... That is so nice of your friend to adopt a kid from Korea.....Hope Elim's ear follow up is fine... Lauren: I agree, I don't like Brad Pitt..... I am in love always with the bad boys of the movies, and I love this British actor, Mark Strong...he is always the antagonist ... I didn't like that movie, Moneyball it was so boring.... Donna: that is a lot to do in a Monday, and you still have time for the gym...... Liz: Hope you are feeling better....Oh why you go to the gym??? I remember dentist always said that you have to be in little rest after a procedure..... Did you asked your Dr about the gym??? Ohh DVD I bought fancy one for mis V she got stock dough in it... ruined, now I bought her a really cheap one..... Katie: that is so neat to have your own boat and that you can hang in it for the weekend.....That is my DH dream to sail in a big boat just the 4 of us for some days..... I am not so sure about it, I am little scare of the sea.... Oh that summer camp for Alex sounds wonderful.... Lindsay: yes it was a small reception after the wedding, in the groom's parents house, it is huge house with lovely gardens and pool, bad idea, miss V saw the pool and want to swim, one kid fell in it, inmediatly after the father went for him, I was nervous watching miss V ..... by the way it was so beautiful with red petals and balloons with roses inside....Don't know how they got the roses inside.... We have the day off in school, since tomorrow is Labor Day, just my DH had to work.... and the house painter, he rang the door bell at 7 am....=(..... My only day I can get up late and I forgot to tell the painter to skip the day.... and to get my day worst I have some stomach bug...... ugh! So I just want to be in bed today, but kids are asking me what are we going to do..... Good Monday and good week everyone.... Lorena

Hope everyone like the MAD LIB.. Thanks for everyones answers
One BEAUTIFULl Spring day in April all the March of Dimes volunteers were preparing for their walks. Some were in SCHOOL and others were in the PITTSBURGH ZOO AND AQUARIUM but they were all preparing for a great cause. Everyone was collecting MAILBOX and making their AIRPLANES in hope that their drink would be the SMOKIN one yet.
As the day was coming near everyone watched the DOG and prayed to the gods. Finally the TORNADIC day came and the weather was RAINY and 113 walkers came out to support the team. JULIE was there and MIKEY was there too. All in all it was a BEWILDERED day to raise money for something we believe in.

Katie, my husband loves his boat. Here's the difference between you and I....You get a big nice Ocean to dock and float around in. I get 3 mangy stick filled rivers. We just put our boat in last weekend. Too cold for me. 35/75ish temps.
Lorena, I wish I could stay in bed all day, just one day.
Donna, you are so busy all the time, how do you do it?!
Lauren, New Hawaii 5-0 on tonight, I'm going to look for you in the background.
Mickey Mouse is back up and running in the play room. I was rather impressed with my skills of hooking up the dvd player to the tv and it actually working. It's raining and looks pretty iffy outside.

Total mystery... you know how kids socks have those non-slip thingies on the bottom. A pair of Micah's have all the non-slip missing from one of them.... no pulls like it got pulled off... just totally not there anymore. Maybe I need more coffee.

I forgot to comment how nice of your mother to come to your house and do some chores for you without asking you..... I made a mental note to do that with miss V echen she grows up.... So my daughter is little over dramatic, she has a little bite of a mosquito I assumed, and she insists that she was bitten by an elephant...?????.....

Lorena - LOL...bit by an elephant. Too cute/funny. I would have been nervous about the pool too.
Geri - Awesome Mad Lib!
Tracy - It is much less intimidating with a friend. Honestly, I wouldn't have even grabbed fabric swatches, nor known at all what I needed, if it weren't for the friends I had with me. Sounds like a decent day for you.
Liz - Go you on getting the dvd player hooked up to the tv. Well beyond my skills.
I'm all for the May Day! May Day! Cafe.
Okay, touch-up paint done downstairs. Fabric chosen for patio chairs, and I bought enough to try one before plunking down the cash for all four. Also picked out fabric for window coverings in the game room, dining room, and kitchen. Yahoo!!!! Now, to just actually buy the stuff, the curtain rods and hardware, and make them. Wish me luck!! I will admit, except for the kitchen, it's probably going to have to wait until AFTER the poker tournament. It's super nice just to have the wall dings covered up.

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)! |
|
|
Elim's ears are all good! We even got some fancy shmancy earplugs for him for bathtime and swimming! Weird that different surgeons have different protocols, my nephew doesn't have to wear them at all. Funny mad lib!! Love it! Lorena: Aww, that's a bad day off! No sleep and tummy ache? I hope you feel better soon! Tracy: HAHA!!! If you're not laughing you're crying, right? Yup, it's the first week of May here in Oklahoma, here come the tornadoes! I'm contemplating going back home to put Charles' car in the garage, and grab my pictures and the girls ashes and coming back to my parents house just in case some of them hit us.....

Stacy - Yay for Elim's ears! What a relief for you both:) Oh gosh, tornadoes, stay safe please.
Geri - I really like the MadLibs:)
Donna - Sounds like it's all coming together at your place. When you mentioned wall dings, oh I hear you there. I think I need some new drywall to get rid of the kitchen floor and great room road rage from over the years:)
Lorena - The wedding sounds beautiful. That's such a neat idea to have rose pedal filled balloons. That must have been a scary moment with the one kiddo falling in. Glad that father got in right away. Happy Day off to you:)
Tracy - I used to get really frustrated that I couldn't get more house stuff done while watching kiddos. Now that they are a little older, I have them help and I try to make it fun. I was surprised. This time Mr. T didn't get soaked and he was ever so careful to keep his sandals from getting wet. Never thought I'd be the kind of gal to wax my car, but it's so much cheaper if you DIY and I guess it's exercise? Does that count?
