Hi girls... been eons since I stopped in. I'm so busy trying to keep up with work, the girls, the house and artwork that my head is spinning most days. wish I could clone myself.
let's see what I remember.
jess, congrats! Sorry about the heartburn. I had it too. I made sure to move around a lot after eating, which helped somewhat. Doesn't take much for heartburn during pregnancy.
Lauren: Micah is too cute. he sounds like a little mobster.
Stacy: what are you doing in little rock? How is elim. When does Charles leave?
Donna: remember when you told me that age 3 was worse than age 2? Oi vey. I'm ready to tear my hair out with kaelin somedays
sorry to hear about the girl bothering Grace. has that resolved at all?
Lorena: how is work?
Forgive me.. I'm on my phone. hate autocorrect!
Erin
Modems: how is work? Long hours?

Erin~ I think the pics give you the perfect reasons to have autocorrect!!! I was about to comment that I didn't know you were artsy, but now that it's yardwork....I understand! Jess~ I hope the heartburn eases up...... Donna~ Hope those days fly by! Ours are.....only 2 more!!! News today---I'll be teaching 2nd grade next year. I'm okay with that. It's been a while since I had 2nd grade, but I guess I can readjust. Really, they're all the same....some are just taller.

Tracy - I love second grade. They're old enough to carry on a conversation and start to critically think, but young enough they still like school and respect their teachers. Have fun!!
Jess - Oy on the heartburn. Hope you find relief.
Erin - artwork, yardwork....lol. Girls are adorable!!! And 3 is absolutely atrocious. I started counting down the days until he turned 4 the day after Ethan turned 3. Good luck!! And as for the girl drama at school, yes it has eased up a bit. Thanks for asking!
Ahhhhh....need massive amounts of coffee today. Went to bed late, and then Ethan was in my bed grinding his teeth all night. Made me grind my teeth so then I had to get up to find my mouth guard. Bible study this morning, and then a quiet afternoon until Grace's band concert tonight. Wonder if I can get away with wearing ear plugs?

|

Erin- I'm with you 3. was not my favorite. I think 2 was much better.
Tracy- Yay! I am so glad you got your assignment. Boy, they really kept you guys guessing until the end.
Jessica- Good luck with the renters.
We have two more weeks of school left. Abigail is sad. She doesn't want first grade to end but we have a big summer planned with my work which is why I have been MIA and will be more so in June/July. My students are done. Graduation was interesting but fun and now the undergrads return to the lab on Monday so another big upheaval.
Does anyone have a big weekend planned? My parents are here so they are running errands and going to babysit. Yay. So ready for a night out. Have a great day.

Tracy - Oh, 2nd grade:) I hope that will be an okay transition for you. I'll have a 2nd grader next year. Hope the last few days of school end well for you. I know it's going to be a huge pain to pack up (again) Donna- Yuppers, counting down the days! Exciting, but sad that another school year is here and gone. Erin - I was laughing at the artwork. I was thinking, wow, she's an artist too?! That's awesome! Although, I think we're all sort of creative artist people in our own ways. For us, it was the terrible three's:) Jess - Hoping those people will jump on the apartment:) Keeping fingers crossed:) Ellen - I know. My first grader is thinking that he is going to have the same teacher next year for 2nd. I'm reminding him that he's going to have a different teacher and he's a bit sad. We rolled our eyes at a few things his teacher did (way too much candy), but in the end, our son learned A LOT from him. Have fun on your night out:) Mr. T has speech today. Taking my car in tomorrow. Got to be the starter or the fan belt (or both). Come on car, hang in there! I opted for that 2-year renewal on tags, so hoping it will endure another year.

Ellen - Wahoo for a night out!
Weekend plans....hmmmm.... annual art festival at school tomorrow. Grace and a few of her ballet classmates are dancing (one of her dance teacher's kids go to our school). Saturday is baseball for Ryley and a slumber party for Grace. I tried to talk Michael into getting a sitter for the boys Saturday night, but he's having none of it. Grrrrr

Liz~ Woohoo for Tori's big girl self!!! Lindsay~ Ansley just happened to get the same teacher for 2nd and 3rd, but it was all thanks to the fruit basket turnover that we all did last year. It was wonderful for the transition to the new school though. Donna~ Sounds like another busy busy weekend for you! I have an idea, why don't you and I go out and leave Michael with the boys!??!! Ellen~ I'm curious of what all the fun will be about this summer!! One more day...... Hopefully most of my kids will go home with parents after their awards ceremony in the morning! Can I get some fingers crossed?????? I've taught 2nd grade before for whoever mentioned that and there are "benefits" to teaching that age group too. My take on the whole teaching thing is that they're all the same, some are just taller than others..... Gotta get my rest....lots of packing to do!

Liz, I seriously laughed at "wipping poop on the walls today graduating college tomorrow" So exciting that she got discharged from pulmonary.
Tracy, if I lived closer I would totally help you pack. I actually like to pack, it's part of my organization OCD - lol.
I've been cancelled three times at work this week, so frustrating. I like the extra time with my kids but I need the money from working. Oh well, complaining about it isn't going to change that I was cancelled. On the bright side, it gives me time to get the house cleaned.

Hello girls, you had been chatty this week and so many things going around here...... Ellen: I do have big plans for the WE, my niece's wedding, and my kids are coming, since V is flower girl and S is carrying the rings.... I love kids that love school, glad Abby is doing fine and enjoying her school...... Liz: Hooray for Tori's discharge from pulmonary.... huge step and a less worry for you.... Tracy; I like 2nd graders, as Donna said, they can manage alone, and they love their teachers..... Good luck with the moving.... Is Ansley also moving with you from her school?? Donna: Poor Grace, I read about the horrible girl.... I would have search that girl and shake her by the shoulders, I remember I read a case in US, were a mother hit some teenager girls, because they were hitting her daughter, and she was charged with injuries to minors, I think that if the judge was a mother would let that mom free, there is nothing worst that to watch our kids suffering.... Lindsay: Hahaha... that is funny, the teacher you don't like D likes, it happens..... wow already a 2nd grader, huh? they grow so fast.... And I don't like ppl you don't know questioning your spiritual life..... Erin: I loved those pic, the girls are getting so big..... haha I also don't like that autocorrect in my phone..... oh girls' drama, miss V is also driving insane with all her crying and drama..... Lauren: I know you can beat all odds, and beside even a 0.001% is fine..... ...hugs..... Jessica: ugh heartburn..... I still remember those, call me crazy but I insist since my last pregnancy my stomach is not the same... So I eneded the job, It was getting worst, and I talked with my friend and he said that they couldn't hire another lawyer, and that he understood my point, but they need somebody that handle both areas..... so he said he will called me for another cases, and I am welcome to the office if I change my mind......at least I dusted some dust from my brain, and refreshed some memory... Tomorrow is the wedding, we are staying the whole WE at the hotel..... I finally have a dress..... miss V dress is beautiful..... I had a hurrying week, my decoration course finish next week and I am preparing my presentation..... Here is a pic of miss V at Mother's Day ......

Lorena~ First of all......ADORABLE!! Miss V is the cutest little thing ever!! Yes, Ansley will be moving with me. The school that we're at now is completely closing. We're closing two elementary schools in our county and consolidating into the other 3 schools. You can imagine the chaos of everyone in the county moving at the same time!!! One school will be Headstart and Pre-k, one will be Kindergarten and 1st grade, and the other will be 2nd-4th grade. The fifth grade teachers are moving to the middle school so that school will be 5th-8th. Phew.....I get tired just thinking about it! Today is my younger nephews last t-ball game for the season! I'm gonna miss getting to watch that entertainment each week. They are totally hilarious!!! Someone asked about weekend plans.......nothing spectacular or fun, but sometimes that's the fun part!!

Lorena - Miss V is so precious!!! I know it's hard when you feel like you're letting someone down workwise, but sanity is more important. Nice that there are keeping an open door policy and will call you for future cases. The wedding sounds like it will be wonderful and so glad that you were able to find the right dress for your girl. Have fun this WE and good luck on next week's presentation!
My car . . . it was a belt and they were under warranty, so no charge there. Oil pan and gasket thingy though . . . Got a makeshift fix for now, but that will need to be replaced at the next oil change. Hubby's car goes in next week. Trying to take care of ALL of the car repairs ($) at the beginning of summer. Not fun to be stuck on the road in 115 degree heat:) Pool temp is 80 already!

I can't believe you guys are losing two schools completely. Liz - Hope the headache has gone away. Happy Weekend! Laura - nice reframe! How can a person be tired as soon as they wake up? Scheduled run this morning, Ryley has a game at 1, then friends over for dinner while Michael takes Ryley to the Padres game. Grace has a birthday slumber party to go to. And Michael is golfing this afternoon as well as tomorrow afternoon. What the what? Princess G did a fabulous job with her ballet at the art festival last night. Uploading pictures now.

I was glad for the help from my mom and Ansley today though. Donna~ I totally get the whole being tired when you get up thing. I wish I could figure out how to do that differently, but I haven't so.... Lindsay~ Yay for warranties!!! Sheesh--I definately think fixing the stuff before 115 degrees hits is a smart thing. Ever wonder how a bed that is suppose to be for one can become crowded??? Add one cute little girl and one cute dog and there ya go! Who could resist?? It'll all be gone way too fast!

Tracy: It must have been difficult to pack up your teaching stuff. Glad that you had some extra hands. I know what you mean about finding a little person in your bed. Mine don't visit as often as they used to, but when they do, I welcome it too.
I brought home all of my classroom posters this past week. Back under the bed they go until I land another teaching assignment. My long-term sub has my keys, so I guess she'll be turning them in. I just have to return my school laptop and check out is complete:)

Someone somewhere is having a good laugh at my expense these days. Lost diamond from my wedding ring, cat disappeared, Ethan had a hideous week, Ryley broke a tooth, and now I have to take Ethan to the dr to have his foot checked out. He kicked the wall during a tantrum yesterday and now will not walk on his foot. No swelling or bruising but he screams when I touch it. Day totally derailed.

Poor Tori, hope she is feeling better, thank God she didn't needed stitches, miss V open her chin when she was the same age, she needed 8 inside stitches and 9 outside, and a plastic surgeon to make sure there were no scar for her.......She wear a skin scotch for 6 months to make it heal ok, and no scar....
I almost fainted with all the blood, yes I am scare of blood...... TRacy: Oh that memorial Walk for the elementary school, seems like something thoughtful to do....... so the kids are out of school?? Good luck with the packing...... Stacy: Thinking of you and Charles, hope it is a short stay over there, I will be praying for him and you....... So the wedding was wonderful, we slept late in those marvelous hotel beds and pillows, I love hotels..... and we had a big breakfast, miss V said that the hotel was the Princesses palace, and that she loved to be a princess..... she was so in love with her dress, though she tore it.... I just hate my interior design group, I found the contact of a store that will give us the furniture, I was also signing for them as guarantee, we chose the furniture, we agreed, and when I came to the store today to spoke with the owner for the final details, my so called friends, after we left came back and changed all what we have chose.. and not even told me.... ..... I have been moving my b for that presentation, and they just change the things around........urgh......sorry I need to vent.........I mean is "my contact" (the owner is a friend of my SIL)..... Just want to share the pic before the wedding...... Lorena

Lindsay: that is the Murphy law, they will place you on hold, when you need to go somewhere...... Best thing to do is to call the first thing in the morning, by experience I have learnt that with goverment offices or things like that, they are willing to help more in the mornings, Tuesday or Wednesday is better to call.......

Lorena~ The kids look beautiful!!! I know you're more than proud of them!!! Good tips on when to call the gov't offices. I know I was much friendlier in the mornings than the afternoons when I worked for the governement... And yes, last Friday was the last day for students at school. Donna~ Woohoo on the clear x-rays!! Hmmm.....is there something that he loves to do that he can't do with a broken/hurt foot?? Choose to do that thing and he'll be up and going in a flash!! I learned that with my whiners at school....they're dying until I say it's recess or P.E. time....then they're wide open!!! All better! My child has ditched me for the night.... She said that she didn't want to get up in the morning when I have to go to work so she's staying with my mom and dad. LOL!!! Such a momma's girl with that sleeping in thing!!

Tracy, that makes me giggle that Ansley wants to sleep in - my kind of girl! It must be heartbreaking to see a school close, so sad for so many families who have years of memories there.
Stacy, thank Charles for me and thank you to you for being a military wife! I'll be thinking of you guys.
Lorena, the picture is beautiful. I'm so sorry about your interior design group, that's so frustrating to deal with. I also love to stay at a hotel, it always seems like a vacation even if I'm just there for a night.
We still haven't heard anything about Nathan's preschool situation. I called the school district today but never got a call back. It's been over a week since he's had therapy and I'm starting to get angry, hoping I hear something tomorrow.
OK, that's all for now. I need to go lay in bed, I'm exhausted!

Last day of preschool for Mr. T today. They were having an ice cream social. Two more school days for D. I'll soon have a 2nd grader and one in Kinder. That happened fast!

I heard from school today, they aren't going to do anything. My only option is to send Nathan back to school on the same bus with the same driver. They will make sure the two boys are seperated. A supervisor is supposed to ride the bus for a week but since the supervisor is the same one who hangs up on me I don't think it will do much good. So upset that's my only option. They said they could try to find home therapists but it might take a while. The problem is that Nathan really needs therapy with other kids, they motivate him to try new things. So angry and sad. Nathan and I have been having a lot of talks about bullying and what is and isn't appropriate to say and do. Also, what to do if someone makes him sad or hits him. Ugh, and he's only 4!

(If you send him back) Lauren~ Definately getting a bit toasty! The great thing is that we've not had humidity with our heat! Doesn't seem like swimsuit time again, but here we are..... Lindsay~ Yay for summer for the boys! Ansley already enjoying her summer break.....the whole one day of it!! All packing with the exception of last minute stuff is DONE!! Tomorrow I'm going to finish up my room and relax! (or help others who aren't finished yet) Wanna come to my neck of the woods for a girls night out??!!

Tracy - Yay for almost being done. I'd so LOVE a weekend with my girls. It's been a rough couple of weeks.
Laura - I'm absolutely speechless. I'd definitely put it in writing that this is unacceptable, etc, and what your expectations are. That young college student who's roommate committed suicide got 30 days in prison, and community service for his bullying role? They have an absolute duty to protect Nathan.
Lindsay - Happy last days of school!! It does fly by so quickly.
Lorena - Absolutely beautiful photo, beautiful children.
12 more days of school here, including today. I'm more ready for summer this year than ever.

Laura-I am sickened over this, this is disgusting. How can a school allow this to happen?

Hello, hello, hello...
Summer's here. It's hot. I've had T outside all day, every day. We are staining her swingset(wood), our deck, and our shed ramp, doing all sorts of landscaping, and anything else that doesn't cost us money....why you ask? Mike got laid off. Totally not good. This has happened before(2008), the only positive is they(his work) bring's them in once a week to keep health benefits. In my own selfish mind thought, first thing to come to my mind....We will not be going to Disney. I will not be going to SU and I am nearly devestated. I know, I know, I'm a whiner, debbie downer, and yick. Aside from that, we have to cut back on everything. We have savings, which will get depleted. But, I'm hoping things will be ok.

Liz~ I'm sorry that the job situation for your hubby is not good. That stinks!!! Maybe he'll be able to get back to work sooner than later and the trips will still be in the making. Today's my first day off for summer and I feel like it's just Monday, when I'm off anyway. My house is a total wreck so I'm hoping to get that motivation fairy this way sometime today. Tibbles has had a bath already so that's good, but as you can see....my butt found the couch already.

Helllllllloooooooo????? You girls are so chatty when I'm working and now that I'm off, it's quiet in here! What gives?? I know when I get busy with something the conversation will pick up.... Major issue at our house----LOST REMOTE!! I know, back in the day we changed the channel for exercise all the time, but that was before satellite offered a million channels. I've even checked the fridge....it's nowhere to be found. Guess the motivation fairy has a sense of humor....if that ain't motivation, I don't know what is.

Sorry - I had a busy day today, and a busy night ahead. Thought I would just pop in quickly.
Liz - So sorry to hear about your husband's job. That stinks.
Dinostars tonight (2nd grade musical) for Ethan tonight, baseball game for Ryley tonight (they start at the same time - why is it always that way?), and then the season premier of SYTYCD. I'm a happy girl at the moment. Still no sign of our cat. So incredibly sad about that. But we have a line on a kitten (two of them actually). I just don't know that I'm ready to give up on the hope of Toby coming home.

Tracy- That made me laugh. Darn comical motivation fairy. Failed my 1 hour glucose test. Seriously? At this point, I don't think there will be a pregnancy related test that I haven't done. Lauren - Hopefully the glucose test was a fluke and you'll pass the next one. Donna - So sorry about your cat. Hopefully he comes back soon and was just off somewhere blowing off some cat steam. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Well, only 11.5 days of school left - I'm anxious for summer to begin but I also know the kids will drive me crazy once it begins. I love them to death but they are not good "Self entertainers" and I constantly have to come up with activities to do. I'd love just once day where my kids are happy to plop down in front of the TV and just sit there! (I know, Mommy of the Year award here I come!)

Jackie - My kids didn't even realize there were buttons on the actual tv they could use to turn it on/off and change channels. Heck, they didn't know you could open the car door with an actual key as opposed to the remote. Kinda scary. As for Summer entertainment....good luck. It does get a little bit easier. My kids have to read an hour a day, and play outside for two hours before they get any technology. I know - I'm a mean mom. We're usually at the beach, at someone's pool, or in the yard hanging out with the neighborhood kids.
Still no Toby. How long do you wait before giving up hope?
Ethan rocked his musical last night. I got all teary-eyed at the end. He was just so happy up there, singing and dancing. Why can't he be that happy all the time? And Ryley's team lost their game last night, but Ry made two amazing plays. I literally yelled, "That's my kid!!!" I was so proud.

Catching up with old friends until the wee hours....always great! Lauren~ UGH!!! I failed my first one too....then they did the 3 hour one and came into the OR to tell me that I passed that one. Really??? Needless to say, I rolled my eyes!!! (So did my dr.!) Good luck on round two!! My poor child is growing so fast that she has very few clothes that she can wear!! I took her to shop for a while this morning and spent WAY too much money. Yes, I got a couple of things too, but I still don't think she has clothing to last her into the next school year. We made it! Elim did ok on the first flight, got a little fussy but nothing too bad. He was exhausted and fell asleep five minutes before boarding for the second flight and woke up 30 minutes before we went in for landing! We kept him occupied with food. He's such a little ham over here. Going to my friend's house tomorrow, I can't wait to see her again! Staying at her mom's house tonight.

Liz - You've probably got the humidity there. Hope you're staying cool. I'm really sorry to hear about your hubby's job. I hope there is something coming around the corner. I know that's super stressful. Sorry to hear about your nail/finger. Ouch!
Lauren - When do you get results from the 3-hour one? You being seen weekly?
Stacy - Gald to know that your travels are safe and sounds like you're off again. Happy visits!
Donna - Sorry to hear about your kitty. Does your houe back up to a canyon? Congrats on game victory!!! Yum, wine night:)
Jackie - Hope your final days of school go well for your kiddos. I feel the same way sometimes about the whole self-entertaining. I'm much better at video games as an adult than ever before:)
Tracy - In the cereal box?! I bet you had a laugh! I tend to panic when I can't find my remote. Trying to get into a habit of leaving it in the same spot.
Friday was the last day of school for staff. Usually hubby and I are tag teaming it with the kids to get check out signatures, etc. This time, all was done and handled. Had a friend and her son over for a li'l BBQ action and pool time. It was nice. Got my words out. Hubby loves that! I hadn't checked school e-mail in a few days. Hadn't planned on it since I'm getting riffed. Well, Principal says she might have a section or two afterall. Hmm, interesting . . . maybe I don't have to apply for that library assistant job afterall:) We'll see . . . isn't it always that way?!

Yes, the cereal box!!! Donna~ Yay for R's game going well!!! That's a huge win!! Hot is a great word for the south these days too. Today the winds from the tropical storm is giving us some relief, but yesterday was a scorcher!! We had a birthday party and an outdoor reception to attend..... Liz~ Boo on the finger issue. I think I mentioned it, but I kicked one of my students' chair the last week of school, and he was sitting in it. Yeah....one of my bigger kids and the chair didn't move in the slightest. My toenail sure did though and I really wanted to just cry. It was pretty easy to count the beats per minute that day too. Lauren~ I wish I was enjoying that lanai and rainbow too!!

Tracy: HAHA! A cereal box?! I never would have looked in there for a remote!
Lauren: Aww!! I <3 rainbows, miss seeing them as often as I used to!
Made it to my friend's house! She had a housewarming party yesterday and it was insanely hot in her house, it got up in the 80s in here! She finally turned the AC on after everyone left. Still too warm for my liking but at least not miserable. I'm exhausted, Elim's decided 6:53 is a good time to wake up as he's woken up at that exact time the past two days, which would be 5:53 my time. So I'm heading to bed early, we're taking it easy tomorrow then I think heading to Kitchen Kettle Village Tuesday I think.

hi ladies!
Happy memorial day!
It. Is. So. Hot.
Like sweating, throwing a tantrum on the ground, hot.
Why is Beyonce so hot? She just had a kid in January and she is a brick house, no fat, look at her legs for pete's sake!

Stacy~ Really? She waited till everyone left to turn on the A/C?? You should've "accidentally" turned it on earlier!! I'm not a fan of heat when I can avoid it.
Liz~ Saw the previews of Beyonce's story, but didn't see the whole thing. Probably because she has nannies to help with the kiddo so that she can work out and pays someone to kick her butt back into shape. Least that's what I'm telling myself!
Ansley enjoyed the lake yesterday with her dad and some friends, and today she's moving slowly.....sunburn!! Yes, they didn't use sunscreen and reapplied, but it's windy here too b/c of the tropical storm down south and that didn't help. Thankfully it's just the shoulder area and nowhere else, but still.....
Anyone have great plans for today??
Our plans are not planned yet. I have a test due tomorrow, but not sure how I'm going to spend the day. Ansley is already begging to go somewhere (as always), but not sure if that's happening or if we're just hanging out at home today.

Stacy - Sorry about the friend's house being so warm. Urgh, maybe next time if it's still super warm you can bump into the thermostat on purpose and lower the temp:) What is Kitchen Kettle Village in your parts?
Liz - I know, it's HOT! It was unseasonably cool here for a little while yesterday (86 F).
Tracy - Sorry for sunburn on her li'l shoulders. Mr. T has blisters on his hands from the cool deck. Cool deck isn't so cool afterall! Got to make them use the stairs to get out and jump each time.

In a way I did too........Wow you are already on the 30 weeks......congratulations! Tracy: well finally you found that remote control... we lost once several years ago, and had to buy an universal one.... they do not work the same as the original remote, and I can't think were it could be lost.....I never looked in the cereal box...... Lindsay: you know that is my dream, to work in a huge library, and have spare time to read...... Gladly school ended for you..... Donna: hooray for Ethan and his concert..... oh blogs.... 2) Samarella's journal
3) Tale's from Sch.... (sorry Donna I do not know how you spell your name)
5) My Angel Love urgh I am here locked up studying with S for his Eng vocabulary test........ the funny side is he is so funny and we are playing "pictonary" so he can remember the words...... They called me back from the office, to offer me another position, I will start this Friday..... again litigating .....not my fun part, but it is a start..... And I so flattered, they still want me, that looked up for some cases I might like..... My Interior Design course finished last Thursday, everything was fine, here some pics...... .... one beach pergola design(since the theme was "the chair" it had to be the focal point of the presentation)......

It actually made sense to leave the AC off while everyone was here! Though she should've had it on before everyone showed up. She had all the windows and doors open because everyone was coming in and out anyway. The problem is that there's big trees around so it blocks most of the breeze. She has it set at 77 now.....it's so hot! But I've got a fan for our room for tonight!
Lindsay: I believe it's like a flea market of sorts but has little shops too with all handmade and Amish goods! I kinda feel like I should cover up in their presence, ya know? Lol, what they must think of us!
Lorena: Cool pictures of the rooms!
Ah, such relief. My landlord was going to raise our rent by 125 a month, I told him we couldn't do that and was stressing about having to move while Charles is gone. Thankfully he saw the light and figured out he was asking for time and a half what "the usual" rent increase is and is only raising it by 50 dollars a month if we'll sign a two year least. Yep, we sure will!
Heading to the aquarium tomorrow, it's going to be another hot one so we're going indoors, it's supposed to be nicer in a couple of days so we'll wait till then to go to the zoo and other stuff we'd be walking around for awhile outside.

Jackie I'm right there with ya dont feel bad. Cant wait for her to be home but I'm very sure after a few days she should be driving me crazy wanting to invite everyone she knows over, go in the pool....go get me this, do that.... Exhausting...forget getting anything done. Hoping we will be in the new house and all settled by them or else I'm totally in for it. Tracy that is hysterical. So something that would happen to me....thats one for the memory books...good laugh xoxo Well girls my heartburn has finally subsided...yup finally found out the culprit. Yes I'm a fatty girl but love my veggies. I need to have a bowl of sald at least everyday sometimes two...its usually my snack again at night in bed. GOtta have a ton of red vinegar....can drink it from the bottle. Been this way since i'm a kid...aparently all of a sudden its killing me. Would NEVER have thought this. How can veggies make me feel like I'm ready to die but yet a greasy Wendys burger...nope I'm fine dont get it..this kid likes all unhealthy stuff...no good. With Maddie it was stricly veggies, chicken, kashi and fruit...wth? Stacy....wish we could have met up such a busy weeend...wanted to see you.

Stacy~ You sound like us.....quickly get all of the outside activities done before the hot weather hits and get the inside stuff on the hottest days. 77 degrees???? Uh, I'd bump that down a few notches....can't stand to be hot while I sleep!!! Lindsay~ Pool decks do get hot!! Our concrete surrounding ours (at our old house) was SO HOT!!! We made a nice game of pouring water out of the pool to make a path to the shade. Lauren~ Oooo....the "FAR" beach! You're so daring.....wish I was daring to jump on a flight to go with you! Lorena~ Yes, you should've looked in the cereal box for the remote!! A universal remote wouldn't work for the one we were missing....it's the one that goes with the satelite. Yummy grilled shrimp for supper tonight!!! No----I didn't grill it, but Texas Roadhouse does a wonderful job of it!! Tomorrow is haircuts and Critical Thinking test......fun for all!!

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!! |
|
|
Hi girls. It's been super hot here all weekend. Yesterday N was in the ER for a few hours. Thankfully we caught his pneumonia early so he didn't need to be admitted. Today he's laying inbred while T and I play in the kiddie pool.
Jess, at least you figured out what's causing your heartburn so you can avoid it. Stinks that it's something you like so much though.
Lauren, hope you had fun on your adventure to the far beach.
Stacy, even I think 77 is too hot for sleeping and we don't even have central air! Just little window units in only our bedrooms.
Ok, better go. Looks like T is about to figure out how to work the hose.

Tracy: Nope, mine was just a simple remote control.... I imagine you were stuck in the same channel for several days, hope at least it was a good one.......mmm those shrimp sounded great... on line test, better quickly to be over with nasty things, besides, you may have little "help" on online tests...... Liz; I am so sorry for your DH's job, I hope he can find something else, better, I believe somehow changes bring good things, that is why I try not to get so comfortable with things, and I try always to be on the move, changing...... So thoughtful about the medical insurance........ Stacy: I must have skipped somehow your last post..... I can't understand why your friend waited until last minute to turn on the AC probably to save some money....... is my only conclusion.... Ugh so glad your landlord kept the price, I mean didn't you signed an agreement..... I think, that laws in US also protect the tenant over the landlord, like here, so there isn't much to talk about..... How you been? I hope you are fine, Did Charles already left? Oh the aquarium sounds just like fun...... here we have to resign with just a big fishbowls at the mall...... Jessica: mmm.....glad you found out what cause the heartburn .... sorry to hear is one of your favorites and healthy food..... maybe you can switch to cesaer dressing or something else..... o just plain raw veggies....... Lindsay: sunny days....ugh how I envy those.....here is cold and rainy for the next 6 months...... Well I continue in my week of S test.... which means I am lock up with him....... I bought miss V some girlie high heels and she adored them, now she comes from school and wear them, one day even cry to take them to school.....mmmm... I wonder who she takes that from .... Happy Tuesday Lorena

So.....terrifying night tonight. My friend's boyfriend left the door to the basement open when he went down, and of course Elim found it and fell down the entire flight of hardwood stairs. I heard the first thunk and ran over and saw him go down the last several. We went to the ER and they said he's fine. He does have to red marks on his head but no other visible bruises yet. We just have to keep waking him every hour to make sure he's ok for twelve hours from when it happened. Ugh, so scary, I don't know how he didn't break something. Jessica: me too!! It would've been fun! Tracy: Eww on the shrimp, can't stand it! Laura: So glad that you caught it! Haha, hope he didn't soak anything! Elim is loving the hose now too. Lorena: We only signed a one year lease, so once the year is up is when he was wanting to raise the price some before signing another lease. Charles arrived safely overseas now, so now the countdown begins! It's easy right now because I'm not at home so out of my regular routine, we'll see how it goes once I'm back home.

Stacy~ I'm so glad that both Elim and Charles are doing okay!!! I know your heart fell to the floor watching him roll down those stairs. His sisters were there breaking the fall.....that's how he didn't break anything. Lorena~ Good luck on the studying....I can't imagine having to spend that much time for a child that age. I'm still amazed at the difference in his school and ours. Tests are done, but not too satisfied with the outcomes. Trying to decide whether to attempt it one more time before midnight or just leave it be.........Hate tests!!

Hey girls...just popping in fast to say hello. Read something and thought I'd post it....thought it was very nicely worded...Love you all xoxoxo
Preemie Mother's Oath
I have sat in the NICU and waited.
I have cried and prayed.
I have endured.
Like most things in life, the people who truly have appreciation are those who have struggled to attain their dreams.
I will notice everything about my child.
I will take time to watch my child sleep, explore and discover.
I will marvel at my surviving miracle every day for the rest of my life.
I will be happy when I wake in the middle of the night to the sound of my child, knowing that I can comfort, hold and feed him and that I am not waking to a nurse taking another temperature, an alarm going off, another round of meds or because I am crying tears for fear of the unknown.
I will be happy because my baby is alive and crying out for me.
I count myself lucky in this sense; that God has given me this insight, this special vision with which I will look upon my child that my friends will not see.
Whether I parent a preemie with physical challenges or medical issues, I will not be careless with my love.
I will be a better mother for all that I have endured. I am a better wife, a better aunt, a better daughter, neighbor, friend and sister because I have known pain.
I know disillusionment as I have been betrayed by my own body.
I have been tried by fire and hell many never face, yet given time, I stood tall.
I have prevailed.
I have succeeded.
I have won.
So now, when others hurt around me, I do not run from their pain in order to save myself discomfort. I see it, mourn it, and join them in theirs.
I listen.
And even though I cannot make it better, I can make it less lonely. I have learned the immense power of another hand holding tight to mine, of other eyes that moisten as they learn to accept the harsh truth and when life is beyond hard. I have learned a compassion that only comes with walking in those shoes.
I have learned to appreciate life.
Yes, I will be a wonderful mother.

Yep, he definitely had some angels watching out for him, not even a bruise on him still tonight! He's back to his usual self getting into every single thing he can and driving me up the wall! I miss my babyproof house.
Tracy: So did you do the test one more time?
Jessica: Beautiful poem!
So fought the insurance company the last two days and won! His pediatrician is leaving so I wanted to switch to her partner and insurance said if I tried changing they would pull him to be seen back on base. I talked to the local lady and she approved the switch because it's the same office, finally someone that works there with an ounce of sense!
Oh, and a hail storm came through Oklahoma last night, where my car was parked outside, my dad is guessing over 1,000 worth of damage so get to get that fixed too! Thank goodness my deductible is only 200 and I have rental car coverage too!
Where's Murphy? I wanna punch him for making that stupid law!

I think Murphy is well hidden because many want to punch him.......Oh insurance bad with it, worst without it.... Thank God you were able to find a person with sense there......
Tracy: that cleaning party sounds great...... I love tests.....are challenging......I am worrying since I think S in one year will leave me behind in Math.....there are some themes, like Logic Math (yes those true tables) were I was lost, he had to explain them to me..... I hope some day all this study help him somehow....... Elementary school here is hard since many children drop school at 5th grade...... So at least they have some school.......
Jessica: that is beautiful.......
I don't get it..... I can handle major emotional crisis..... NICU, bedrest, even my angel's death, but silly common day worries, turn into huge event and anxiety crisis..... Yes I have insomnia.....funny thing I don't know why......and I am scare to death of panic attacks..... I see it coming at side of my eye..... Urgh!

Tracy, did you finish packing?
Lauren, how's your belly growing?
I'm not sure what else....Mike's going out of town today thru Sunday. Syanora. Sometimes I just need by myself time. I've been in a funk the last few days. I've got disgusting poison ivy, and have been eating benedryl which makes me completely drowsy and nearly depressed. Stacy - I am so glad to hear that Elim is okay. I know what you mean about visiting other people's homes that don't have some or any of the safety things in place. I know there's no 100% childproof home, but still, I know where you're coming from. It's even more exhausting when you're not in your own place keeping after them.
Jessica - The poem is beautiful. Very touching.
Tracy - I can relate to the house thing right now. I tend to move all the crap to my bedroom and it stays there until I go through it. I have accumulated so many piles of papers, some items that need to be refiled or put back in binders, and others that just need to be recycled. I can make another worksheet. I don't know I hand on to this stuff. Hoping the cleaning fairy will come and visit you soon or better yet, a crew from one of those TLC shows as you mentioned. I misse expanded cable . . . but do get the LWN (Living Well Network). You are getting this degree because it will make you even more of a valuable employee, hopefully give you a raise on the salary schedule, and lead to future job opportunities if the need arises. Am I close?
Lauren - I just got a newsletter from SARRC. They've been doing some training with Hawaii's Department of Education:) I know that you're in the know about these things. I'm learning a lot and just trying to keep on keeping on. How you doin'?
Lorena - Loving the chair designs!!! Did you have to purchase/rent the furniture from stores and how did that work again? Very nice. Wow, most go up to 5th grade, huh? I see your push to keep S engaged. What do those children do then? Work? Sorry for your rain. I will think of you today when it's supposed to his 112 F:)
Speech went well yesterday. Hmm, trying to see how I can get approved for an iPad. I hear there might be a grant with Best Buy. My kiddo might have too much speech now to qualify. Hey, I'll try anything. What's another form to fill out? He he.

Ipad....ooohhh......hope ya qualify!! Liz~ Enjoy your quiet time....is it called that when the kid stays with you?? Stacy~ Seriously?? Hail???? Hope the fix is quick. That's so annoying!! Glad Elim is back to his normal routine today with no further bumps or bruises showing up. So sad...the cleaning fairy still hasn't shown up here. Have ya'll seen the news coverage of the "cleaning fairy"?? Some person is breaking into houses and cleaning them and leaving a note for how much the owner owes her for cleaning their house. So far, nothing is being taken, but I thought it was hilarious because of what we're always discussing here. I'd probably pay her!!!

Hi all,
Just a quick check in to say hello. it's late and i won't remember everything, so i'll try...
Liz: is Tori at home with you? When do you get to check out sans kid and husband for a trip? Sounds like you could use a getaway/breather. I admire you for being a SAHM -- especially with hubby's work schedule. I'm sorry to hear that he was laid off -- here's to hoping something better rounds the bend soon. And before I forget -- thanks for your offers to help when Dan's on the road. I do have my hands full with his schedule ... but in a lot of ways, it's easier when he's off and working.
Lorena: what an awesome design setup! how long did it take you to do that? Sounds like you had to design around a focal point, eh? was that hard? nice to hear that the law firm has called with another option for you. Will you take it? How long does S go to school each year? How's miss V? You mentioned she throws out a lot of drama ... driving you crazy? Does she have her daddy wrapped around her finger like Kaelin does?
Lindsay: how do you survive in that heat? i bet the kids are ready to get out of school.
Stacy: how's the road tripping going? I don't suppose you'll be in the Pittsburgh area? Where's the next stop? Is Elim doing OK being out of his element? At least the traveling keeps your mind off Charles being gone -- gives you something to look forward to.
Jessica: sorry to hear that salad/red wine vinegar (?) is giving you heartburn. I hated having heartburn -- had it bad with Kaelin and Kelsey -- but not to the point where I had to take medicine other than chewable antacids. I found that if I stayed upright and was active after eating ... heartburn was much less. Doesn't take much to set off the heartburn during pregnancy. felt weird after having my girls to eat normally with nothing biting me later! Are you feeling good?
well, that's about all I can remember at this late hour. I should get to bed -- would like to run in the morning before I start working. Yesterday was my b'day (37 -- yikes!) ... and I kicked it off well with a run. Legs felt great -- lungs ... not so great. I've got a touch of a cold and the humidity is hell on my EI asthma. I forget to use my inhaler, and my chest feels like someone is squeezing me.
hope to check in again soon.

Erin~ HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!! Sounds like 37 is treating you okay.....better than it will for me in a few months. I don't see myself beginning the day with a run! (nooo.....!) Hope your chest loosens up and your breathing feels less stressed! Hate colds!! Liz~ Hammock.....I like that idea!! Wish I had two trees to hang one. I just have one MASSIVE oak tree! My nephew's team lost their first game in the playoffs tonight. They'll have to keep winning to stay in the tournament, but it wasn't a huge loss (2-1) so I hope they'll be able to do well in the end. After the game, I walked the walking track around the ballfield to equal 3 miles and then watched the other teams in the league to see who he is going to play next. I'm gonna miss baseball season....I'm probably the only one, but it's not my kid and I use it for "something to do". Beats boredom!!

Erin, Happy belated birthday!
Tracy, I do that, too. Only my nieces softball games for something to do.
I am addicted to the Steve Wilko's show...he just called some guy a "Fat boy"and a "FlapJack" Hahahaha.
Our huge M4B's in Pittsburgh is coming up on the 10th. Mike and I are going to volunteer in the mission tent. Channeling the word of SYS. I'm pretty excited about that, I'm hoping to see some familiar faces(cough, cough, Erin&Ellen((who I think is out of town for the walk))) Either way, it will be nice, I hope we have nice weather.
That's about all I got, bbl...

Liz~ That's a late walk.....well, I guess it's all relative to what you're use to. We can't wait that long or people would die of heat exhaustion!!! Where is everyone else today?? I'm telling ya, when I'm off work, everyone is busy with something, but as soon as classes start for me on Monday, you girls will be chatting it up!

Erin - Happy Belated Birthday! Kids have been out of school for a week. It's incredibly warm here EARLIER than I remember. Urgh, we stock up on popsicles and sunscreen for sure:) Our outside time is early in the morning and after the sun has gone down. Still HOT though . . .
Tracy - I did see that news story this morning! Too funny! Wonder what they'd charge to clean my house?
Liz - Weekend w/out hubby can be a good thing. Your hammock sounds dreamy. Always have wanted to get one of those. Hope T is napping well for you.
My Mr. T may have an ear infection, so I have an appt. for him this afternoon (remember the time difference). Want to find out before the weekend to avoid going to urgent care. Nothing else going on really, just making phone calls for this and that, and adding my son's name to wait lists for therapies. It might be Miller time soon.

Lindsay~ LOL---"Miller Time"!!! I haven't heard that in a while....made me giggle!! Yet again, I've accomplished nothing in my home today, but I did get another great walk in today. I should use my much needed squats for picking up the junk in my house shouldn't I??? Yes, I should......should! My nephew plays baseball in the morning....win, he plays for the championship on Monday, lose and he's done for the season. Fingers crossed for a big win tomorrow!!!

3. Donna (Tales from the Schweitzer side)
4. Enrique (My little baby guy
5. Tracy (Angel Love)
6. mommy to sophia's journey from having a preemie & recent
Things have beenm so crazy. I know I always say this but I alway feel like I am running and when I finally have time to sit and chat, I fall asleep.
We had Emily's 8th birthday on May 12 and she had 2 parties. One was family and cose friends and the following weekend was school friends. Then the 27th was Matthews 3rd birthday. He had his family party on his birthday and his kiddie party will be with Alainas birthday party at the end of June. # kids born within a 6 week period is crazy. It drives me nuts because in between we still have mothers day and fathers day.
Well I will try to e around more and I am going to make an effort to go on at least every other day, cause I miss you guys <3 <3

Tracy - I watched a lot of tv growing up, but mostly I remember the commercials:) Didn't get much picked up at my house either, but I'm trying to tackle another pile today. Baseball games are fun to watch! Are there concessions? Nothing like a dog and beer! I guess I've been craving it, so I did go out and get some Michelob Ultra.
Geri - Happy Belated Birthdays to your kiddos! Lots of non-stop cake going on in your house:) Yummy!
Mr. T had an ear infection. We filled his Rx and already seems to be doing better. I think this is his second ear infection total, but now that he's started to dive for rings in the pool, he may be one of those kiddos who gets swimmer's ear often.

Lindsay: Poor Mr. T.... I used to add 2 drops of alcohol to each ear after swimming to S and it worked, that was my ped advice.... The furniture was borrowed by a store whose owner is a friend of my SIL, but most of the chairs and decorations in the beach pergola is from my own home..... I took some furniture from my house..... Tracy: that "cleaning Fairy" that is breaking homes, must be a compulsive obsessive cleaning person.... I was wondering how is going to collect the money ppl own her (i assume is a woman since she is cleaning) she better ask for a job...... Geri: Happy Belated Birthdays to your children..... wow 2 parties for Emily..... great! Liz: glad you are enjoying the summer..... Erin: Yes miss V is the drama queen... specially when is her father around...... I don't pay attention to her as she must want me to, but my DH is so concern with her crying..... Jessica: thank you......xoxox So I feel better since I was able to sleep better these past days..... We went to an amusement park here, the kids and one neighbor, friend of S, it was all too sunny day, then suddenly black clouds, and started raining horrible with wind and thunders..... we got all soaked since the parking lot is so far away...... so we are her in the house all dry and cover watching a movie.... S and his friend are playing Wii..... miss V favorite The Toad Princess as miss V calls her (Tiana I think is her name)...... Speaking of weirdness, miss V loves to take medicines, the worst taste the better...... I have to hide them well, since she cries for the medicines......
Weekends I stop S medicine, I know I shouldn't, but really is amazing how he eats when he is not taking it, I feel so bad, like I am starving my kid purposely ..... I feel so bad..... Happy WE Lorena

Hi all,
Just a quick check in to say hello. it's late and i won't remember everything, so i'll try......
Erin: Stefano starts school mid of January and ends it mid of October, so it is 10 months of school more or less..... they have 1 week off in March/ April and 2 weeks off in June.....Elementary school are 6 grades, middle school are 3 and high school are 3.....but there is an estimated that only 50% of population finish middle school .....30% high school and just 5% of populations ends college and 2% university.... so here is really a privilege to go to school......
