THE BEGINNING...

Aug 01, 2005 03:49am (EST)

well, i won't bore you all with the details but if you're interested, here's our first "share your story" about how the babies were born.
http://shareyourstory.org/webx?14@@.ee901b2
and a lot more has happened since then! mostly eye surgeries and lorne's reflux problems. lorne had a fundo and g-tube on march 16th. isaac has had several eye surgeries and lorne has had one more. they both had cataracts removed in the past few months. i am so naive, i didn't even know that eye problems were a preemie thing!! we are hopeful for both of their vision but our expectations aren't too high. isaac's new glasses have helped immensely!! and lorne gets his contact on wednesday (yes, a *contact lens* that we will put in each morning and take out each night of our very active, stubborn 10 month old!!). we have to patch his left eye after we get it.

lorne also got the first, second and THIRD tooth of the group! everyone else is still gumming things in hopes of joining their brother! it's funny, those teeth seemed like such a huge milestone for him. isaac is rolling everywhere he wants to go and sullivan is mastering crawling. even lorne rolled over for the first time last week!! we are so proud of them. update to come wednesday on the contacts. thank you so much to everyone here who has helped answer so many questions and been such an awesome support system!!
