My daughter was diagnosed with gastroschisis when I was 18 weeks pregnant. After reading a ton of stories I was convinced she'd be early, and quite small. Luckily she went completely to term, 39 weeks, 1 day by scheduled c-section. She weighed 8lbs, 9ozs. She was the biggest baby in the NICU. When she was born her intestines & stomach were outside of her body, but they were able to push her stomach back inside the day she was born and gradually the rest of her intestines over the next 5 days. She had her surgery to close up her belly at 6 days old and started feeding by bottle the next week. She came home 2 weeks, 6 days after she was born and she is the absolute best baby. The only thing I've noticed is A LOT of gas and she does throw up about once a week. Good luck <3
