PREEMIE BOOK!

Kandice Boone - 01:33am Sep 29, 2005 EST

Hi all my fellow preemie moms and dads and grandparents.. I am a mom of 2 preemies one 26 weeker and the other 34 weeker, they are 2 and 3 now and doing great. With the exception of a little speech delay .. Hey I am posting because my husband is in the process of writing a preemie book. He was an english major adn this is what he loves, this book will just hit alot closer to home..
He is looking for stories that we have all been through, whether your baby survived or not. We want very very explict stories. Details are so important in this book. We want it to hit home for EVERYONE preemie or not, maybe this way we can get more preemie awarness out there and start finding awnsers and cures.. hopefully that is, if not more people will be aware of the reasons and the course of being a preemie.

If anyone would like to email us your story please do so to Kixphotography@yahoo.com, He also owns his own photography business so the pictuers should be awesome..

The book will most liekly not be published for 1 to 2 yrs maybe a little longer. This book is VERY important to us, and everyones stories we use we will give a free book to..
Thank you and God bless,
Kandice Boone

Interested

Is he still planning on writing the book and if so, would you still be interested in stories. I wouldn't mind e-mailing you my story of Nathan. The more awareness we can get out there, the better. My e-mail is hopeluvu@aol.com
Can you just e-mail me a response there?
Thanks!
Sara (natesmom)

I would love to share the story of my girls

I have a healthy full term 2 year old, however 6 months ago I delivered twin girls at 26 weeks. I will email you our story.

How long?

Kandice,
I was wondering what guidelines you'd like for the stories? Do you want information leading up to; the actual birth; the days after; the years after? How long should they be? (Or should I say, how long is too long?!)
Thank you -
This is a WONDERFUL idea! Non-preemie parents need more resources to help understand our journeys.

I am working on a book too

I have searched high and low for a book about being a preemie for my son and have been unsuccessful. I have been working on a preemie book this summer in honor of him and in memory of those who past in the NICU last year. I would like to help you in completing your book if you still need stories. I was preeclamptic and he had IUGR. He was born at 32 weeks 4 days. Let me know and I will send it to you.

Nichole (Billy's Mom)
