A New Angel

alara - 08:50pm Nov 10, 2005 EST

Hello my name is Anjelica Lara and I live in Sheboygan, WI. I am married to Juan Lara, we have been married for three years now. My husband and I started trying over a year and a half ago, and we finally got pregnant in June. We were very excited, this would be our first child. We started going to the doctor's appointments together, and making plans for the future. We were thinking of names and things we needed to get for the baby. However, our dreams and plans for the future came to a sudden stop when on Oct. 11, 2005 I was at school and started bleeding. I was taken to the clinic right away and when I was examined they realized that my water had broke, I was so heartbroken and couldn't believe what was going on. They explained that there wasn't much that could be done, but they would send me to see a specialist in Milwaukee to see if there was any small possibility they could be wrong. When we got to the hospital in Milwaukee, we got the most devastating news, there was nothing that could be done and our baby would soon be born and there would be no chances of survival. We then had to make the hardest decision we have ever had to make, induce the labor or wait until it happen by itself. Since I was bleeding, they of course recommended I should be induced, my husband and I were very confused but knew there was nothing that could be done. We then decided to wait one day, the next morning nothing had happened and we went ahead with being induced. We were heartbroken but knew this would be for the best, our son would no longer be by our side but we knew he would be up in Heaven with God. We named our little angel Fabian Lara and put him to rest on October 17, 2005. This has been a really tough time and I know it will always be with us. We were able to make some wonderful memories of our little boy, and even though we wish there were more we thank God for the few memories we do have of our little Fabian.
