'GIVING BACK'

DNASMOM - 12:00am May 11, 2007 EST
Mom to a feeder and grower born June 2004 almost 33 wks 2lb 13 oz.

Walk America always seems to inspire and motivate me to 'Give back' by helping others get through the rough times of the NICU.

While co-chairing the Family team tent at Walk this year, I met many parents who feel the same way and have this need and desire to 'give back'. I also know there are many parents here on this site who share these feelings but don't know how to get started.

I thought this would be a great place for us to share ideas on how to reach out to these families. What are some of the things that you have done to 'give back'? Do you have some suggestions to share?

Let's put our creative minds together and help each other find ways to 'give back'

Re: 'GIVING BACK': Denise and I co-chaired the Family Teams committee this year, too. Well.... won't say I connected...

Re: 'GIVING BACK'

I feel the same way Kara!! It really makes me feel good. Like a proud good, ya know?

I forgot about the Hugs and Kisses idea. I remember Krystal did something similar with kisses and spoons. I'm going to have to bring this up at our Mission family meeting.

Thanks for the ideas!

Karen
