Jackie,
I think preemie and special needs moms get caught in the trap of "hurry up and grow out of...." all kinds of issues. When really no mom should wish to hurry along their babies' growth, it goes by too quickly anyway!!

I remember when Tucker got his trach at 3 months old, just wishing for the day it would be out to hurry up! Then I realized I would be wishing away three years of his life, and I wanted to enjoy that time with him:)

I agree, First grade is "real" school! It is a hard step for a mommy to make!

Look at all the things Kimmie has overcome and conquered! What an accomplishment. While I am sure it is difficult to see her grow up, she is doing so healthy and whole.

Girl- I'm having the same problem- and Kaitlyn's only 1!! It makes me sad sometimes. She just recently started walking and doing more on her own and sometimes I can't help but think that I want her to stay a little baby. I can't even imagine the mess I'm going to be when she graduates to 1st grade! Hang in there and tell her to SLOW DOWN!!! It gives me a better appreciation for my parents now though.
