I can't stand that expectation either, yet at the same time wish that I could have it! You're definitely not alone in these feelings! Tons of hugs to you, and keeping you in my thoughts as Liam's supposed to be birthday approaches.

Oh I know Jennifer. Grrrr. It's so annoying/hard/frustrating to hear naive pregnant women talking about things like that. It's so hard because, just like you wrote, that's how we wish we felt about it all too!

I'm sorry you think AF is coming. I definitely agree that the struggle with TTC definitely can heighten our sensitivity to pregnant women/babies.

Fall has always been my time of year too...my bday is actually 10/23. I'll be thinking of you and Liam in a special way that day. I pray that this fall is better for both of us and that we can create new, happy memories

I have the same feelings there too Jennifer. I wish that I could be as naive. I wish that I didn't know the things that can go wrong. I wish that I could carry a baby to term, but I've tried three times (32, 34, and 30 wks.) and it's not going to happen for me - ever. It quietly hurts to know that I can't do one of the most basic things a woman is supposed to be able to do. It bothers me that people have quickly forgotten my loss or if I'm in a particular slump people ask me why I'm so down. I can't believe that I have to remind them, but the rest of the world has moved on and I'm stuck in March of 2009. Two years ago, I was pregnant with my little boy. I love this time of year as it starts to cool off here, there are several b-days to celebrate in November too, but it's just not the same. I was really uncomfortable being around babies and I forced myself to do care gigs so that I wouldn't feel that way. I guess it helped a bit. I still see a pregnant woman and it just sort of throws me off balance as some feelings of jealousy come flooding in. I am glad to know that you had a good trip with your bff.
