JAckie~S. is the same he doesnīt like any sports at all..... for deception of my DH, since he is crazy for soccer..... S. the first day of training received a soccer ball on his face..... so he detest the game...... swimming is the only sport he can bare..... and he is not constant I have to drag him to lessons, which at the end exhaust me more..... And I planning to put miss V in ballet....hope she likes it..... but she seems like a little tommy boy for me..... Sarah~Welcome! Kristyn~I have read about those things, but it seems like little difficult to use with small kids..... by the way I read your questions in Q and A ..... I would have swear you were blond..... glad to finally "meet" you.... Hope you can make it to Washington this year....... I am saving my pennies, well and also hoping I get an invitation this year ....... Maria~Glad everything is fine with you...... Hope Chris enjoy soccer practices...... Are you still in bedrest???? Good Wednesday everyone..... L.

Oh Kristyn~So sorry to hear about your weeks with antibiotics..... I also in the same boat..... Miss V started school in March, and the first week she got a nasty flu, 14 days of antibiotics, since she had green awful stuff, which made her nights awful, and she was the same, so I went to specialist, and my poor baby her first flu and she got H1N1..... can you beleive my luck???? Me neither...... All of your talk of golf..... well I think....let the kids give it a try..... what can you lose???? who knows maybe you have the next Tiger Woods in your house...... S. wants to try fencing.... you know that sport with swords.... I donīt know if it happens to you all..... when S. was a baby I swear I will put him in music, swimming, soccer, painting lessons..... now I am so tire of driving him around that all enthusiastic goals are all gone..... Sarah~ Welcome to the thread!! I'm glad that you're here.... A netti pot is used to flush out / wash out your sinuses!! You pour water up your nose while your head is tilted and the water comes out the other nostril. It sounds gross, but I've heard wonderful things about it!! Maybe that can be one of our "learning sessions" at SU11!!!! (Netti Pot Use)---course then some goof ball would say we were teaching "Pot Use" and get us all in trouble!!

Sarah- Welcome! I don't know what that pot thing is either =/ Someone please tell us!
Lorena- Things are going well. We stopped taking Chris to soccer because he was not interested at all. We came to the conclusion that he's too small and with the speech barrier its kind of hard for him to take instructions if not explained slowly or in a step by step process and the coach is probably not going to slow things down for him so we didn't push him anymore. Maybe in a year or so. How have you been? No bedrest for now I'm just taking things slowly because I get soooo tired if I do to much.
Things have been ok lately. I'm 20 weeks pregnant! I have to post a pic and show off my belly on my blog. I love it! My belly button is poking out already, Chris thinks its a button you push, he pushes a little too hard though. I have my 20 US next week, I'm so excited. On a another note, I had to get a molar taken out yesterday, not fun at all but I could not stand the pain. I'm gonna start dealing with my cavities after my pregnancy because this is my second molar taken out and I'm only 23. I'll probably have vineers (sp?) later on maybe in my 40? Lol. The pain is not too bad, I didn't get any pain meds or antibiotics due to the pregnancy. My mom took Chris today so I could rest, but I cleaned all day.
We went to the zoo on Monday and Chris loved it! We had a great time except that after about an hour of walking my blood pressure suddenly dropped and I almost passed out, good thing my dad was near by to grab me and after a couple of minutes I felt ok and we continued seeing the animals. Chris did not want to leave but we walked for 3 hours and I was exausted!

Pot use at the share meet? Hmmmm. LOL !
I'm not sure if I'd like pouring soumething up my nose... maybe I'll just stick to the vapoorizer for now..
~ Arnara- I definitely understand being sick of driving the kids around! I loved watching the kids intheir sports, but honestly couldn't wait for the seasons to be over (especailly football and cheerleading) 2 hours a day 5 days a week practice, plus games on weekends was a little more involved than I wanted to be.. thankfully it was only a few years till they outgrew the love for those sports.. and fencing would NOT be a sport I'd be comfortable letting the kids try...

Tracy- I know what that is. I used one a while back. It actually works great to clear out all that mess when you're sick. I learned about it while doing my externship at an ENT. I've been thinking about SU11! I hope I can go this year, Johnathan is going to be very small but with a little bit of luck I can make it.

Does anyone else feel more like a referee than a parent?? It seems as if I spend more time giving toys back to the original posessor, than anything else!!! (but, I suppose with 3 kids close to 2, it's gunna happen) and the other thing... One of my sons absolutely refuses to eat off of a plate! If I put the food directly on the table, he'll eat with no problem, but if I put it on a plate, he'll just dump it! any ideas on how to solve this one?

Sarah~ Yikes!! Not sure how to "fix" that problem.... Hmmmm....What if you made him pic up the food when he dumps it and put it back on the plate?? I don't mean off the floor necessarily, but off the table.....????? I'm stumped! Maria~ Sounds like a good day at the zoo! Better to go now before it's so hot that you can't stand it! I hope you'll be able to make it to SU11 too!!! I swear there was something else I was going to say, but.....can't remember it!?! Must be the heat today that got me!!

Sarah- I was going to say the same thing. Maybe if you made him help you clean up he'll stop putting it on the table. Chris only refuses to eat at the table, he always wants to eat on the sofa but we're starting to work on that cause I'm tired of having to vacuum his mess everytime he eats! Good luck!
Tracy- Tell me about it! Its soooo hot today I can't stand it, and with my belly and all its even hotter!
Gotta get ready for a party, not in the party mood with this heat but my mom is begging us to come along, she took Chris to her house yesterday so we have to head to Atlanta and pick him up anyway.

Wow! You ladies have been chatty! Sarah - I have 2 thoughts....
1) get one of those disposable place mats that stick to the table and just let him eat off the table. Chances are it's a phase and he'll get over it soon.
2) Buy him some really cool dishes (favorite character on them) and tell him he can only use them if he keeps the food on the plate. Otherwise, they get taken away for a week.
3) I know with Kimmie I used to have plates that suctioned to the table, I wonder if they still make them.... Ok, Tracy, I'm telling James that you are in charge of the "Pot" session. (And I am not ok with putting things up my nose so the whole netti pot thing turns my stomach!) Maria - Glad you are doing well, but how scary about almost passing out! Be careful!!! Lorena - Funny how people look different than you expect huh? Part of the reason I love SU!

Ok, I'm going to sounds really dumb here, but when you are blogging,, and it says "archives" What is that? When I click on it, it says something about erasing my blog after a certain amount of time.. I am completely computer illiterate.. Does this mean it's going to rease my blog day by day after a certain amount of time passes?? I wanted my kids to be able to read it when they are old enough to understand it..
Jackie~ I tried the suction plates, but he just pulls and pulls till they FLY off the table. I am however, considering screwing the plate to the table
Tracy and Maria~ Ive thought about making him help me clean it up, but due to his developmental delays, I'm not sure he'd even understand why.. He's 23 months old, but tests at a 10-12 month age range... I'm kind of at a loss here.. Part of me says he's not too young to help, and part says "but he's my baby, my last one, let him be a kid.." I'm torn!!! And does anyone know if Physical therapy will help with balance and reflexes? Marc is always always always falling, and he hardly ever puts his hands out to catch himself, he just falls! He currently receives speech, OT, and special Ed, but we opted not to do the PT for now.. Now I'm wondering if I made the wrong decision... Sorry so chatty, I just have no one else to ask...

Sarah - As far as I know, that is the "intent" of the archives. But at this point I don't think we are deleting anything yet. There are blogs on here that haven't been touched in YEARS and they are still stored. We've talked about a way to allow people to print them out easier (or to pay a fee and have them printed for them), but haven't come up with a sure fire way to do it yet. Later this year Share is supposed to be upgraded so it matches the format of the March of Dimes website and at that point some things might change. But if anything will be deleted from blogs, you will be warned.
As far as PT, I would ask your OT. At least in our case our PT and OT worked in the same place and while PT focuses on big muscle groups, they often overlapped. But I think reflexes can be more of a neurological issue so I don't know how "teachable" they are.

Lorena- I felt the same way! I didn't know what yall looked like, lol. I hope you can make to it SU11 too.
Sarah- Chris also receives SP and OT. He's never received PT, we signed up for it because he was not walking so his ped. recommended it, but he started walking before it was to begin at 15 months. I understand how you feel about not making them do things, I used to be the same, I would let Chris get away with anything because he had some delays but the therapists always said its best to let them try, chances are they will understand more if you practice. But Jackie also gave you good ideas, maybe his favorite character plate will work.
I had a not so good moment today..... My uncle's (whos is jail) girlfriend has been sending my mom nasty texts claiming we have her property that was in my uncle's car at the time he was arrested, the car was towed and is still at the wrecker, anyway she claims we are keeping her belongings (make up, laptop, camera, etc.) we haven't even claimed the car because my mom is so tired of all the mess her brother keeps getting into. Anyways, today she sent a man to my mom's house to drop off a nasty letter with threats, my mom called me and I drove over there to file a police report, on my way over there the girl calls me and starts threatening me, she even said she would make me have a preemie if she ever ran into me. I went off! It takes a lot to make me upset, but as soon as I heard those words all hells broke loose! We made the police report and now have to file a restraining order. Ugh! She just got under my skin so bad I felt a headache coming. Needless to say hubby is soooo angry. I hope things settle down because I hate hate hate drama. Some people just don't understand how certain words can really hurt somebody.
I have an ultrasound tomorrow! I'm so excited. I didn't tell anybody only hubby knows but when I had my US at 16 weeks the US tech first said it was a girl, then she said it was a boy. I googled US at 16 weeks and read that at that point its too early to really be sure of the gender, so maybe maybe it is a girl right? I keep having dreams that its a girl, maybe I'm thinking about too much. I also hope Chris behaves, because everytime we bring him along he behaves so bad.

Maria~ I definately would be ticked, but would also take action to make sure that the psycho chick stays away from you and your family. She needs to talk to your uncle before she starts accusing his family of things that never happened. Stay safe!!! UGH----Standardized testing begins for our students tomorrow..... Have I made it clear enough how much I HATE giving those tests??? It's not just because it's seriously long and boring for all who are involved, but they're not good indicators of what the children truly know. Okay---I'm done with my rant!!

Maria, Definitely beware!! Some people are just evil.. I did hear one interesting thing on the radio.. Most people look to pepper spray to help keep them safe, but one officer reccommended using wasp spray! It can easily be kept anywheres, goes up to 30 feet accurately, and you won't be affected by it (like pepper spray) if you have to use it! Maybe throw a can in your car, just in case!! Keep safe! I've never heard of wasp spray but I'll sure look into it. Luckily, she doesn't know where I live, lol. She asked me once and I was like yeah right like I'm gonna tell you.
Quick Question- Ok so summer is right around the corner... I remember when I had my cerclages with Chris the doctor said no swimming in pools, lakes, beach, etc. Did any of yall go swimming during your pregnancies with cerclages in place? I'm gonna ask the doctor because I really really want to go swimming when the pools are open and hubby and I are planning on taking Chris to the lake since he liked it so much last year.
Chris did so good at the dentist today, I was relieved because I woke up with a nasty cold and can't take anything so I'm feeling kind of crappy. Hubby took us to Five Guys it was soooo good.

Maria - I don't remember being told that swimming was an issue with a cerclage. In fact I remember Kimberly was in swim lessons when I found out I was pregnant but I don't know that she still was once I got the cerclage.
Maybe you could just kind of hang out by the shore or knee deep in the water and let him play in the shallow area?

Maria, I swam in the pool and took baths. I don't think I was near a lake while I was pregnant. Water doesn't typically move up, so you should be fine...of course, every doctor is different. I LOVED being in the pool while I was pregnant because it took so much pressure off. One thing I found was I would stand too long because it didn't hurt, but it made me spot when I was standing all day. I switched to floating and using noodles to hold me up and no more problem I have been so busy and I have no idea what I've been doing! My house is a wreck, the kids are definitely crazy and I am too! Ready for summer! K

Maria~ Maybe they're talking about bacteria issues for the no public pools and lakes thing??? I have no idea, but I'm guessing for the sake of the conversation. I would be seriously be disappointed if I couldn't cool off in a pool during the summer---especially in GA!! Kristyn~ I hear ya on working your butt off and nothing getting accomplished. My house is prime example right now too. I tell ya...it's a mess! I have my own child and a co-worker's son while she's attending a funeral. These two are great together, but Ansley is so spastic with excitment of having someone to play with that I'm going to have to string her up!! Her voice gets louder and louder and she has no idea that it's happening. The poor dog isn't going to have a voice later because he's so excited that he can't stop barking at them!! I just keep repeating....it's Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow!!

Maria: My OB also told me to be careful with public pools and baths.... but in my country is a precaution we took, since water and cleaning is not so good.... I donīt think it would apply in US..... And I had forbidden the hot tub baths, since I have irritable uterus and even that make me have contractions.... Kristyn: Me too being, busy and when I look around many things still has to be done....I think my DH thinks I just lay all day to watch tv..... tough I keep doing my To-do-lists I am crazy with them..... right now I was doing one for the things I have to take to the beach this long WE...... Tracy: Glad the kids get along...... S. being only son tends to fight little too much with guests, I have to be like a referee (Spelling??? ) Even when the parents of the kid are with us, which is embarrasing..... So we are in the Holy /Easter week, so kids have 9 days of vacation..... S. is surely enjoying his... this morning a neighbor set a pool in his front lawn, bad idea...... all kids were ther, and wet all his cartport.... but S. had a blast..... now he is playing wii at a neighbor house...... and miss V is watching princess cartoon...... oh boy this girl discovered the princess cartoon, I think is her 1,000 time she saw it...... good day everyone. Lorena- Chris watches the same DVDs like a hundred times too. Its crazy, I spend all this money buying the new cartoon movies I like and he doesn't seem interested in them so I think I'll stop, because he sticks to the old movies instead. I understand what you mean about the pools in our countries. Do you ever go to Mexico?
Tracy- I know, it gets sooo hot! It was very hot out today, and I wore a long sleeve blouse too, ugh! I hope I can at least put my feet in the pool.
I've been procrastinating big time lately. I've finally managed to start doing laundry, I have like a month worth of laundry and it seems that when I finish I have a whole bunch more to wash! I need to stop buying clothes, thats my problem. I really can't help myself though, I always run into great deals and can't resist. =/

As for watching the same thing multiple times....We have DVR on our Directv and Ansley records the shows that she likes since we're rarely at home. I swear we've watched Disney's movie, Lemonade Mouth, a million times since it first came on on Friday night!!! I've memorized it myself!!! Lorena~ I wish I got 9 days out of school for Easter..... We're off on Friday and were suppose to have Monday and Tuesday too, but the snow days from January took those. I work on Monday and the kids return on Tuesday. Hey ladies,
Feeling kind of down lately. I'm trying not to tell my parents because I know my mom is going to freak out. Anyways, I went to the doctor on Thursday, pre-term labor has started and I'm now on Procardia and will be starting P17 shots next week. Also my cervix is very irritable so my cerclages might be coming out soon. I knew this was coming because for the last three days I've been feeling a little achy down there and the feeling is all too fimiliar. The doctor said to take it kind of easy still, I stopped working about two months ago and might be taking online classes from now on. I'm just a wreck right now, I can't imagine going through another loss. I'm terrified to have a preemie. I was told if Procardia doesn't work to head to the hospital but its doing the trick for now. Chris is at my parents and hubby wants to go out to dinner tonight to ease my mind. Have any of yall taken P17 shots? Are they painful? Side effects? I have two appointments on Tuesday.
Maria
