LOVE LOVE LOVE SHANNON!!!

KHolley - Feb 2, 2012 12:57 pm (#6 Total: 319)

Good luck Shannon!!!

So the sweetest thing happened at school today! One of our teacher's boyfriends proposed Glee style! He played Marry Me on the loud speaker and the kids were all holding signs that said "Will you marry me?" It was so sweet, he dropped on one knee in the courtyard, the kids went crazy! Made me smile all day!

liz loschinskey - Feb 2, 2012 2:56 pm (#7 Total: 319)

I love my kids!

Whoa, wait, what?! Shannon Holy shnikeys...did I read that right?
YaY!

Katie, that's so cute I nearly barfed!

My husband and I have been on the out and out for months, now. We can't stand eachother. Not just today....it's everyday. The cat is out of the bag. I've been incognito on here as of late, still hitting every P2P post but...I'm "Weird" that I spend so much time on here. I've alot to sort through and it gets me sick literally to my stomach everyday.

I know, I know...Liz, stop being a Debbie downer.

On a brighter note...Tori is on day 7 of potty training. Still piddling on the floor. Yet, only wet 2 pairs of panties yesterday. God give me strength.

Katie, that is really nice, what happened at school. Reminds me of the only time someone sent me flowers at work. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

bbl...

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 2, 2012 6:35 pm (#8 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Katie- Wow! That is so out of the movies or tv! Crazy cool... and um... she said yes right?!

Liz- Hugs momma! Way to go Tori and mommy on the potty training! We're workin' on it with Micah too... a diaper free day.... whoa that'd be cool!

Off to music class with Mr. Micah Man who just went in my closet to hide. Crazy kid.

lvazquez - Feb 2, 2012 8:01 pm (#9 Total: 319)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Shannon: Sounds like a great doctor! Good news to hear:)

Katie: I LOVE that! So, she did say "yes", right? Very cool!

Liz: Hang in there. We all think you're doing such an amazing job at answering posts, stories, blogs, everything:) If you need to take a break, then take a break. Liz first, Tori second, then Share. Lots of love to you girl!

Lauren: I'm loving the new cafe! I forgot to get in here yesterday to check out the new design. Music class, how FUN!!!

Both kiddos are sick. Got the phone call from the nurse or health assistant for the first time yesterday. Brought Donovyn home (love living around the corner from his school) right away. Mr T is still coughin up a storm, so I'm keeping him home another day from his "second school." Feel bad that he's missed two days. I think he had speech today too. Bummer.

tucker'smom - Feb 2, 2012 8:45 pm (#10 Total: 319)

Mom to Tucker (27 weeker, 05/26/06)

Shannon: good luck, that doctor sounds amazing!

Katie: I love that idea, how sweet!! My best friend got married last June, her boyfriend rented out an ice skating rink when he proposed, and decorated it like Rockefeller Center, complete with a Christmas tree....because skating at Rockerfeller Center is one of her dreams. She said Yes of course, I hope the teacher at your school did, too!

Liz: good luck! I agree with Lindsay, Liz first, Tori second, Share third...along with everything else! I highly recommend the Potty Training in a Day method. It worked wonders for Tucker, he as potty trained in 3 days. That was in September, and I certainly don't miss the diapers on such a big kiddo
If only his aim would improve...now I spend all my time cleaning the floor and wall next to the potty instead of changing diapers.

Lauren: love the new cafe'! Maybe Micah will be out of diapers just in time for your new little one? So just one in diapers at a time? that is a good goal, right?

Lindsay, yuck for both kids being sick:( I hope they both get over it soon.

So, I spend most of my at-home time blending food now....Tucker eats 5 foods, we buy them then I blend them down to baby food consistency. Sounds easier to just buy the baby food, but there is much more calories if we buy the food fresh, then puree it down while adding high calorie milk. Tucker is eating SO much that we are always out of something....never in a million years thought I would say that!

Donna S - Feb 2, 2012 11:38 pm (#11 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Woooohooooo Shannon!! I love that doctor's outlook. I'm one of those people who firmly believes positivity does have an effect.

Lauren - Totally cool new Cafe!

Katie - Awwwww....that's too sweet. I so wanna go to your school.

Liz - Hugs. And hang in there. As for potty training - I still get twitchy after my experience with my boys. Good luck!!

Linsday - Hope they both bounce back quickly!

I know, I've been MIA again. Between my Dad's visit and all other kinds of craziness, life had been taken over again. Things have been decent. My niece (Chantelle - she was on here a couple of years ago when she lost her daughter Destinee at 28/29 weeks due to pre-e and IUGR) had her baby girl, Danika, yesterday at 39 2/7 weeks. I went to see them today. Baby girl and mommy are doing great. I got my baby fix...held Danika for half an hour. Sweet!! I laughed out loud when Chantelle asked if it made me want another one. Hah! We are so far out of that stage, especially after the past year.

Donna S - Feb 2, 2012 11:39 pm (#12 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Oh and Leigh - GO TUCKER!!!!!

Angel Love - Feb 2, 2012 11:39 pm (#13 Total: 319)

Leigh~ That's so great to hear!!! May you puree yourself silly in the coming days!!!

Katie~ What a great guy!!! Is that on YouTube too???

Lindsay~ I hope the kids are feeling better soon.

Lauren~ Thanks for the new hangout! You know I'm not a fan of February's celebration, but I like what you've done with the place.

Shannon~ I like the motto of your dr.!!!! We'll celebrate all day long with you!

Ansley spend all of 45 minutes at school this morning before getting sick! Yep, some little stomach bug is being passed around the school, and apparently she caught it too. Thankfully, it seems to be vomitting once and not much else. Let's hope that's all there is to it.

I am more than thankful that tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!! There is only so much a girl can take in a week. Still no word on which schools (if any) will be closing and where I'll be next year....maybe soon.....

KHolley - Feb 3, 2012 12:34 am (#14 Total: 319)

It probably is on YouTube, I will see if I can find the link, it was all over FB! Of course she said yes!!!!

Leigh-Go Tucker go!

Donna-I love new babies, they are so precious!

Tracy-If tomorrow wasn't Friday, I'd be taking some time off, overwhelmed doesn't even begin to describe it! I made 135 calls home yesterday to 8th graders that are failing!

We are in the middle of a major house remodel, I just want to sleep peacefully without tools everywhere!

stacyat - Feb 3, 2012 3:04 am (#15 Total: 319)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Shannon: Love that doctor! I agree! Stick baby stick!

Katie: Awww, that's so sweet! I love that!

Liz: Big hugs to you, I hope that things get better for you soon!

Lauren: Oooh fun, what kinda stuff do you do at music class?

Lindsay: Hope the kiddos feel better soon! Elim's going into the pedi tomorrow too, his clear runny nose turned to pretty color runny nose and crusties along with a low-grade fever. Gotta get him well before his birthday!

Leigh: Ewww, the things I have to look forward to! Maybe Elim will take to aiming at cheerios? Yay for constantly running out of food, that's awesome!!

Donna: Aww, congrats to your niece, that's awesome!! So glad baby and momma are doing well!

Tracy: Hope Ansley feels better soon, and fingers crossed you don't have to move schools.

Finally bought all of the rest of Elim's party supplies for his birthday! It's gonna be so much fun, but so much work getting everything prepared! Good thing the majority of his present from us is his party or we'd go broke!

Donna S - Feb 3, 2012 4:02 pm (#16 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Tracy - Hope Ansley feels better quickly. And they're seriously talking about closing your school? UGH!! Fingers crossed and prayers going up.

Stacy - Poor Elim!!! Get better baby!!! Seemed my kids were always sick for birthday parties. Can't wait to see the pictures of this one. What theme did you end up going with?

Katie - 135 kids failing? Geez a whiz@!!** The remodel will so be worth all the mess and noise. Everyone I know who has gone through it hates the process but is so happy in the end.

Can I just check out today? I would be so happy to sit in front of the tv watching all the prep and stuff for the game Sunday, or other mindless tv.

KHolley - Feb 3, 2012 5:18 pm (#17 Total: 319)

Donna-Yes, check out today, make it a jammie day! Yep, 135 8th graders, that is only one grade, I haven't even made it to the 6th and 7th graders!

Tracy-Poor Ansley, I hope that she recovers so that you can relax this weekend.

Stacy-We are dealing with strep in our house. I hope that Elim gets better in time for his big day!

We had a wonderful chili cook off at school today! I so enjoyed my lunch, it was so nice to not have to worry about packing everyone's lunch today! I was the deciding vote! I am so looking forward to the weekend to relax and unwind!!!!!

lvazquez - Feb 3, 2012 7:16 pm (#18 Total: 319)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Katie: Yum, chili! Any leftovers that you can take home and have for dinner?

Stacy: Poor little guy. Hope you can get him all doctored up in time for his big celebration.

Tracy: Sorry to hear about Ainsley's stomach bug. Hope she feels better soon. Yay, it's Friday!

Donna: So neat for your friend! What a very pretty name too. I'm glad that you were able to get your baby fix:) Hope you were able to stay in your pj's and just be.

Happy Friday everyone!

liz loschinskey - Feb 3, 2012 8:07 pm (#19 Total: 319)

I love my kids!

I'm slightly irritated, so much so, I called the non emergency police line today in my area. I'm in the car with Tori(in her car seat) parked in a ...parking space about to depart. A big beat up truck comes blazing through the parking lot 2 males, 1 female, and an infant on her lap in the cab of the truck. I watch, they park, and they all get out and go to an eating facility.

I don't know about where y'all live, but in Pennsylvania it's against the law to cruise around with a baby on your lap.

I sat in the car a few minutes, thinking..What if they get in an accident, that kid is going through the windshield. So I did what I thought was right and called the non-emergency line and gave a full description, where to find them and the license plate.

Was I wrong in doing this? Would you have done it?

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 3, 2012 11:18 pm (#20 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Liz, I totally would have done it. I actually thought about calling today for a reckless driver I saw crossing into oncoming traffic to get one car ahead. Idiot.

Aaaaaaand check out the uber awesome February Shining Star...

Donna S - Feb 3, 2012 11:20 pm (#21 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Wish I could have checked out. My brother and his kids are coming tonight (it was his step-daughter who had the baby Wednesday) and after me being gone all last weekend, my house was TRASHED!!

Chili cookoff sounds awesome Katie. Now I'm hungry for chili. lol. I can't believe there are that many kids failing. Yikes. Good thing they have you, right?

Liz - Good for you. Sometimes people need to be saved from themselves.

Off to ballet and then basketball.

stacyat - Feb 4, 2012 3:15 am (#22 Total: 319)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Donna: Rainbow of colors! I have a balloon wreath to make, some paper rainbows, a posterboard with pictures, and a centerpiece to make with only a week left! I think I can do it. Boo on not being able to check out! You get the house all cleaned up then? We gotta do that, the father in law is coming into town tomorrow night.

Katie: Ugh, strep is the worst!! I hope all the kiddos feel better!

Liz: You go momma!! I would've done the same thing if I had the non-emergency line saved on my phone, that's crazy!

Nother round of Omnicef for the little guy for ear/sinus infection. Gotta get the house all cleaned up before my father in law gets into town tomorrow!

Angel Love - Feb 4, 2012 3:57 pm (#23 Total: 319)

Stacy~ I hope the antibiotics work to get the little man well before his big day!! Good luck on getting the party decor finished before the last minute.

Donna~ Yuck on having to clean house. I had to do some myself this morning. The plumber is coming and I didn't want him to refuse to enter!! There's still plenty more to do, but it's not completely embarrassing right this second.

Liz~ I totally would've called that in. I've called in situations when kids were picked up from school with small siblings climbing all over the car. I know that seats are expensive, but there are plenty of organizations that will help if you can't afford it.

Ansley was fine all day after her episode Thursday morning, but then yesterday morning, about 6:45, she threw up again... Afterwards she was fine again! I think that there might be some nasty drainage that's causing issues when she's empty. Today she's perfectly fine and eating all kind of junk already....

Julie~ If you're peaking in.....I keep looking for you and Riley on the Today show since they've been in your city for a few days!!! Ya'll have all of those great connections and I fully expect you to be on the front row complete with interview!!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 4, 2012 6:40 pm (#24 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Oy, crazy busy week. So thankful to have the weekend here. Lance and Micah are out garage saleing so I can finish up a lil' bit more work, but I had to check in with my Share peeps first!

Germ free hugs to all the sickie kiddos this week!! There's so many Hope everyone is feeling better soon.

So who is everyone rootin' for tomorrow? We'll be cheering on the Giants... gotta support the team that knocked out the Packers! Love you Katie!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 5, 2012 1:32 am (#25 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Duuuuudes where's everyone at?

stacyat - Feb 5, 2012 4:24 am (#26 Total: 319)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Tracy: Still had a fever this afternoon after the motrin wore off, but none tonight, fingers crossed it stays away tomorrow! I think Dr. Tracy has hit the nail on the head again, it does sound like maybe she's throwing up from something other than her tummy hurting if she's eating all that junk food!

Lauren: Uh....would you continue speaking to me if I said I have no clue who is even playing? Other than the obvious Giants that you mentioned.

Been busy here, started out with a friend's baby shower, real low key and fun talking to them all about labor stories, even the girls' labor without weird looks. Then picked up a train table for Elim, we'll call it an early birthday present, it's more of a table to put toys on to play than just trains, got it from a friend for $20! Then out to dinner. Elim stayed up from noon to when we put him down to bed at 8:30...... we attempted a nap in there but gave up when it was getting to close to bedtime. He was deliriously happy, it was pretty funny.

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 5, 2012 5:23 am (#27 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Stacy Good thing I don't heart ya for your football or early 90s knowledge! Awww, the deliously happy tired baby is way cooler than the a latter. Glad he's feelin' better.

Hope all the other kiddos are on the mend as well!

I had my first bought of morning sickness in three pregnancies! Fritos... probably not for another 10 years.

KHolley - Feb 5, 2012 1:44 pm (#28 Total: 319)

Lauren-We are no longer friends...Go Patriots!!!! I hate when you throw up something that makes you never want it again!!!

Stacy-I sure hope Elim gets better soon, poor little man.

Tracy-I hope that Ansley stops throwing up, poor baby.

I am off to see "One for the Money" I love me some Janet Evanovich books, they make me laugh out loud. I hope the movie does the same!

liz loschinskey - Feb 5, 2012 3:18 pm (#29 Total: 319)

I love my kids!

Happy Sunday!

Lauren-Super bowl = commercials, seeing the Steelers aren't playing. Altho, we did have some go into the football hall of fame yesterday. No Jerome Bettis tho, boooo!
Morning sickness...*cringes*...I just remember dry heaving with Tori to the point I'd puke. PS-I loved Coca-cola and milk mixed when preggo with Mikey.

Stacy/Tracy- Hope your babies feel better soon!

Katie-I love books and movies that make me LOL!

Blah here, Potty training is a bust. I ordered this potty princess doll that clearly said online that it drinks and goes potty. Dudes, it doesn't drink or go potty. It has a potty that flushes and talks to you. But doesn't potty. I ordered it because it was the only potty doll that had a sippy cup and not a bottle. Booo.
If my DH tells me one more time it's my fault our kid weighs 19 pounds,, I'm not quite sure what I'll do. EX-last night she starts with "yogurt, yogurt, yogurt" Mind you, she ate 4 whole things of yogurt and a go gurt---that's 5 things of yogurt in one day. I said no, gave her a banana and cheerios instead(she was delighted with the banana/cheerios) "that's why she only weighs 19 pounds, you don't feed her what she wants."blah blah blah"Just give it to her".....Look dude, I'm not giving her 6 things of yogurt in one day. Whole fact of the matter I just bought 20/$10 on Friday and there is 9 left. Ladies, it's the simple things that get under my skin and make horrible thoughts go through my head.

I start classes next week. Should be interesting. I hope I'm not in there with a bunch of teeny boppers.
Thank you and YAY for the shining star!!! Brought a smile to my face.

bbl....

Angel Love - Feb 5, 2012 4:57 pm (#30 Total: 319)

Okay---so did I really say that Ansley was all better??? Yep, yesterday...going strong all day long and off with her daddy last night. 6:30 this morning she starts with sickness again from top and bottom!! After that hour, she seems to be over it! Just enough to cancel our Superbowl plans.....

Lauren~ I don't have a team preference tonight. I have to say that I do hold a grude against Eli Manning for how he acted when he was recruited by the team that wasn't the one that he wanted right out of college. I mean come on---you're getting paid millions---who cares??

Stacy~ Silly tired babies are so fun to watch!! I hope that the boy is still holding off the fever.

Liz~ If the man has better options of getting her to gain weight, then tell him to go for it!! That's aggravating no matter how you look at it!

Katie~ Have you gotten your cast off already?? I haven't heard you mention it and didn't know. I think I forgot to comment on the phone calls for failure last time too. Isn't it aggravating when you bust your butt to help kids and they blow it off???? I have several doing that right now and it drives me completely insane!!

lvazquez - Feb 5, 2012 5:09 pm (#31 Total: 319)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Leigh: That's awesome for Tucker! I hope he takes to even more yummy blends that mommy creates:)

Stacy: Hope your little boy gets better for his big celebration. I'm with you. Who's playing again (he he)? Score on the train table!

Liz: Urgh, the blame game. I'm sorry for that. I think it's great that she's eating and congrats on getting her to try other foods. I know a bit about that. Mr. T is a super picky eater. He tried Honey Nut Cheerios yesterday for the first time.

Lauren: No more Fritos, huh? Sorry for the morning sickness. One thing I will never eat again is KFC. I haven't been there since 2007 and everytime I see a commercial, I have to put my hands up to cover my eyes. It was an awful aftermath. I will forget it. Funny, but the things that made me sick with Mr. T are the same foods he refuses to try.

Ooh, I wanted to share something that happened last week or so and not sure I mentioned. Tristyn put on his socks and his shoes all my himself. Life changing! He's been doing it ever since and it's really neat. Big for us, so proud:)

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 5, 2012 8:38 pm (#32 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Lindsay- Go Tristyn! Big guy!

Tracy- Aw man, booo! Hope she feels better.

Leigh- Totally missed the Tucker food update- awesome!! That's truly amazing!!

Katie- Enjoy the movie... and awww... can't we all just get along?

Liz- Ugh on the foodie dispute. He'll thank you later when she eats a variety of things instead of just yogurt!

Enjoy the day, the game and the commercials everyone!! xoxoxo

stacyat - Feb 5, 2012 8:57 pm (#33 Total: 319)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lauren: Does it help that I got excited when Encino man came on tv the other day for early 90s knowledge? Eww on morning sickness, I hate it! I promise I won't offer you any fritos for awhile. I'll never eat those rotisserie chickens again

Liz: Big big hugs momma! Even if you are there with a bunch of teeny boppers, they'll look at you like you know everything! It's a win!

Tracy: Elim and Ansley must be on the same page! His fever was gone for all of yesterday and this morning, but this afternoon it's back up and higher than it originally was! I hope the worst is over for Ansley.

Lindsay: Aaah!! Go Tristyn! That's wonderful!

I'm making a rainbow balloon wreath for Elim, about halfway done and my thumb feels like it's gonna fall off! It's gonna be super cute though, and I plan on using it as the official birthday wreath in the house so it'll last for awhile!
