Donna~ I would love to read more for pleasure, but honestly, right now there's just too much work or class related junk to read. My brain can't function for more! Ellen~ Sorry things haven't been going so great, but I hope that it's on the uphill climb now. Mentally exhausted right now!

Ooooooh Jessica! I love this game!! Super fun!!
Yeah, I don't think one will get read for at least another few years... I do what the Whole Brain Child or something like from an author I really like in child development... it's really good so far (ya know.. the paragraph every other day I get to read).. and there are a few illustrations!
Waiting on office call for my appt with the new doc... soo nervous! It feels like a blind date.

Hahahaha - Right there with ya Katie!!! One of the bonuses of being a SAHM with all mine in school all day is that I (usually) get a quiet lunch by myself which equals time to read!!! And then while my family is watching (lame) tv (aka Monster Bug Wars, How it's Built, Build it destroy it build it, Dirty Jobs, Myth Busters, Great Tank Battles, etc etc etc) I read. And I read before I go to sleep. And I read while I'm sitting in the pick-up line at school. See why I have a Lit degree?
Katie - That's perfect!!
Lauren - a LOT of stuff gets put on hold while the kiddos are so young. I didn't do much but survive when Ry, G and E-man were toddlers. It was all I could do to shower and get dressed every day much less anything else. I didn't re-join the gym til Ethan was almost four. It makes it so much easier that all my kids love to read so sometimes we just turn everything off and have reading time. You'll get there!

Donna: Ah, . . . La Jolla. I can smell the fresh sea air right now. I miss that darn place. We go to the Scripps Aquarium quite a bit when we go. Not sure what our plans are right now for Spring Break. Come on Spring Break! I'll settle for President's Day weekend though comin' around the corner. Ye-haw! Wishing you a cooler stocked with snacks and drinks for all of those kiddo sporting events! You go Donna!
Katie: I love those short-term disability checks! Good thing you signed up:) Every little bit helps. Hope you're healing well.
Lauren: So cute that he's counting and reading his fav book:) Hope you weren't waiting around too much longer for that call from your new OB. Totally like a blind date. One puts a lot of trust in this person. Hope it's a good fit for ya.
Jessica: I'm loving your game, but for now, I'm too tired to play. I will try again tomorrow:)
Tracy: I hope you don't have to be transferred again. It blows! This year because I was a new hire, I don't even get that option.
It's official. I won't have a position next year. Now I don't feel so guilty in taking the leave to help my kiddo. I'm feeling really bad for the students who now have to start over with their FL credit though. They have to have two years of the same FL to go to college:( Urgh. I get to start this lovely search all over again. I guess this wasn't the year to go back to work afterall. Upside, tomorrow is my LAST day of work and I was able to snag a speech therapy appt. for Mr. T on a cancellation! Score! It's on Valentine's Day! Yay, I got my Valentine's gift: new pillows to sleep on and some speech therapy:)

Linsday, is that a good thing or bad thing...no job?
Donna, You ever read any Tom Robbins? I literally LOL.
Lauren, you sound like me, except it's ABC by Dr. Suess.
Tracy, 2 hotties in your driveway? Ooohlala.
Lauren, how's your babybelly?
All sorts of things on this end. Tori's eval went good. We brought on an OT, and I demanded to keep her Developmentalist. She did not qualify for either and they both said they will write up what the have to and get it sent off to the state. This is a good thing. She doesn't qualify. It showed how much Miss Tanya loves Tori as much as T loves her. We meet again next week to write up her IFSP.
Started school last night. I couldn't tell if I was more excited to get out of the house or start school. Needless to say, after class I felt like a genuis. Suprisingly, I remembered alot more than I thought. And I was youngest in the class so I didn't get all weirded out by the youngin's. We leave for Harrisburg in approx 4 hours. NOTHING is packed, and the dog sitter failed to mention she has to work today and no one will be home when we drop the dog off. -mumbling profanities-
Gotta scram, have a good weekend ladies!

Liz - Glad the eval went well. Even more glad they're fighting to keep her in services even though she "didn't qualify". And I'm envious too of going back to school. Go you!
Lindsay - Things happen for a reason. Hard to see when we're in it, but hang in there. Hope it all works out!
Ethan got two awards at school this morning - a math target and a language arts target. He's so proud of himself!! Lunch with the school moms today. Mmmmmm....sushi!

Lindsay- I hope you find what you are looking for soon.
Liz- I am glad the eval went well and I hope your trip goes better than you expect. Wow, and what a start to class. What class are you taking?
Lauren- I hope you like the new OB. Seriously can't believe Micah is two. How time flies.
Even though mine has outgrown the toddler stage, I am still on trash novels like Patterson, Evanovich etc, what does that say about me? Oh well, I make it through them about three pages at a time before I fall asleep.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. DH is writing report cards and it is supposed to snow so maybe I will hit a museum? Either that or Abigail and I will settle in for our hundredth viewing of the Sound of Music. Stay warm

I hope you find a position that fits you well for next year. Grumble, waiting on insurance to approve the transfer of care before the schedule the appt.... grumph.

Liz~ Wait! Wait! Wait!!! Nobody said that the men in my yard were "hotties".....in fact FAR from it! That was the bad part that I forgot to mention! Jess~ Love the game, but Katie wasn't teaching today and already beat me to it! Donna~ Yay for E!!! Those little awards are super special! We give "Bulldog Bones" for good behavior/good character. Ansley's name was drawn for a prize for having perfect attendance for the month of January. She was super excited about that, but then used her prize (money for any snack from the vending machine) to buy her teacher something for her birthday instead of herself a snack. Our principal wrote her a "bulldog bone" and made the announcement over the intercom. She was super excited!!!---and so was her momma!! Lindsay~ Is the job position ending now or at the end of the year?? I think that those students should be given a deal since it's not their fault that they're cutting your position. Ugh---hopefully there'll be something else great that comes along. I dreaded this move, but afterwards, I'm so glad that I had to move!! Okay---seriously, it's 8:30 and I'm struggling to stay awake.....say I'm old if you want, but this chick is going to bed!

Lindsay-Boo on the position. Will they have a place for you next year?
Liz-Yay for keeping all of Tori's therapists!
Donna-Ethan is one amazing kiddo!
Jac-Just have a Pham Cham and hop right in! That should get you going!!!!!

No worries....just jump in! Lauren~ It's all good with the early bedtimes until your little one (or not so little one) wakes you up earlier than needed. Mine did just that and the first words out of her mouth was starting an argument.... Maybe that's why I'm so tired all the time....

Stacy: Happy Birthday party to your little one! I'm sure it's going to be fabulous! You've been planning for months and your ideas and multi-colored cake are awesome. Take LOTS of pictures:)
Tracy: I put in a LOA due to my son's diagnosis. Lots of therapies in our future and if we can get those 40 hours of hab., we're going to use 'em. In addition, I found out that there is no position to come back to next Fall. I was hoping for at least .6 FTE, but there's nothing. So, while we learn this new path of services, I'm trying to map out a game plan for next Fall. Teacher Career Fairs are taking place soonin many districts around here, so that might lead to "something."
Lauren: The students don't have to have the same teacher. They have to have (2) years of the same foreign language. So, my students in French 1-2 who need a 3-4 credit next Fall, will now how to start over with another language OR look to get the credit online. It stinks all around. Hubby and I are in the same district. There aren't any openings for me. And you know, usually when two spouses are working in the same District, there's a huge break in medical. There goes that one . . .
You're singing:) The appointment went very well I take it:) Good to hear!
Donna: Thanks:) I guess I prefer to say that it all comes down to timing.
Liz: I'm glad to know that the home visit went well and you get to keep all of the same people. Makes it so much easier for both you and Tori.
Katie: You're awesome for doing a lot of the teachers' work for them:) Those phone calls are tedious and you never know what kind of a response you're going to get from a parent. Hablas espanol? We have to make at least 5 contacts/week and then turn in our sheets at the end of the month. Fun stuff.
We have our intake interview this coming Monday and we start private speech on Tuesday. I have a list of the some of the questions we'll be asked, so I'm sort of "prepared." Mountain of laundry and house stuff awaits . . .
Here's the link if anyone is interested in those Scentsy candles.

Stacy- Can't wait to see all the pictures! Happy early birthday Elim! Katie- That's outrageously early... I mean really... why? Aaaaah Saturday... we have family coming to visit tomorrow so time to straighten up make the place look presentable... and then tomorrow... shots start!!! Eeeeks. Stacy - Happy Birthday Party weekend!! I so can't wait to see those pictures.
Katie - 6? As in a.m.? That is entirely too early. Although who am I to talk when we've been on soccer fields that early as well. UGH!!
Lindsay - Good luck with the intake on Monday.
Jac - I have to take notes to keep up anymore. lol
Tracy - She sounds like such a girl. Hope you got some good sleep. Ethan and I were doing battle over bed space and covers half the night. Then one of the cats woke me up twice clawing at the bed wanting up.
Lauren - I still mix in the "trashy" novels. Brain needs a break every once in awhile. And yeah, I often read the kids' books too. Can't help it...I get sucked in while I'm reading with them at night, but then I miss all the parts they read during the day. Happy house-cleaning! I'm doing that this afternoon too. And good luck with the shots.....thinking good thoughts.
Sooooo.....sounds like Grace's soccer team will be getting a new coach. But then this club has been known to get a new coach, then give the team back to the old coach a month later. I'm at a loss. Tryouts are Monday and Wednesday. I think we're going to have her try out, and then if her old coach gets the team back, we'll pull her. So much drama over a kids' team.

I worked from home all week but I really need to be in the office next week so he'd better kick that fever soon. And please, please, please cross your fingers that Kimmie doesn't catch it. Jackie~ Did you say FB?????? Those pics were shared on FB while we're all waiting to see our might man Elim's party pics here??? STACY~~PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday Elim!!! Donna~ I don't blame you for not taking a chance with the crazy man again. That'll damage a kid for life!! I remember having a coach that totally killed my love for a particular sport.... good thing I got him last. Lindsay~ I hate that the situation has you hanging, but I had to giggle at the fact that there are job fairs in your area. There are NONE in my area at all because nobody is able to hire due to lack of money!! Good luck on the events Monday and on the job search as well. Oops....Jackie, I was in such a rant about that darn FB that I forgot to mention that I hope Matthew is better soon and that Kimmie has a Lysol fortress around her to keep her from getting it. Brrr....it's frigid down here!! I just got home from a friend's house and my car temperature said 25 degrees!!!! Seriously, last week it was 70! Elim's been on antibiotics for an ear infection since last Friday, brought him in yesterday, and still infected, no better in fact! So a new antibiotic, and his temp was 100.1 yesterday, and 100.4 today! Not horrible, but still, it shouldn't be going up at all especially with motrin still in his system for that second temp! Tracy: You should get a facebook. We can name you Joe Schmoe and you can add only Share peeps, totally incognito and then you could see my pics right away. Same for you Lauren, only we can name you John Doe! Because I'm lazy, and don't feel like shrinking my files here's a couple pics, and here's the link to my facebook pics.
