nfitz86 - 10:24pm Feb 2, 2012 EST

I started to loose my mucus plug on a friday i didnt panic because i was only 23 weeks pregnant and they told me it doesnt always mean anything. I went in for a check up that monday and i was told i was 3 to 4 centimeters dialated. i was rushed up to the hospital and they gave me and i.v. and medication to stop the labor and steroids to help her grow. i made it til 24 weeks in the hospital and at 7 centimeters dialated and my daughters heart rate starting to go up the doctors decided to break my water. my daughter genevieve lilian was born on february 6, 2010. She was 1lb 12oz and 12 inches tall. i tell everyone to take a ruler and stick a tennis ball on top and that was the size of my daughter. she stayed in the NICU for four and half months. She came home on oxygen. While she was in the NICU she had a PDA surgery which was to close a opening in her heart. she had two eye surgeries. When she was a year old she had one more eye surgery and a fedding tube put in because she had difficulty eating and gaining weight. Besdies the button and the fact the she is blind she is a very happy and active 2 year old. She has made so much developemental progress in the last year. Im soo proud of her! She is a wonderful little girl.
