Lauren I hope the appointment went well and you like your doctor. It is so hard finding one that you are comfortable with.
My next appointment is March 7th in the morning and I will not be seeing my doc. I have to see another doc. since mine is going to be out of town. I was going to see my doctor on the 29 but then I thought about it and didn't want to wait 5 weeks to see her again so I'm just sucking it up and seeing a diffent doc. for one day. I hoep the doctor can answer the questions I have. There has never been a appointment that I haven't had a question or two for the doctor. My doctor is use to me asking lots of questions and being good about answering them. Sometimes I don't even have to ask the question b.c she answers them before I get the chance to ask.
Hope all is doing well and has a great week!

Today was kinda weird I had come achy pain in my lower abdomine and it has since gone away but it originally scared the heck out of me, I was just waiting to m/c. I know Im going to drive you all nuts over the next 36 weeks (i hope) The pain finally went away and as one dear friend explain it was probably my body making a home for baby!!! Its been so long since I was pregnant (not counting my m/c) that Ive kinda forgotten all about it! But I know its early but I have had the last 5 years to think about what I would name a baby is Ive ever had another one. So here is what I have picked out although I havent run them by my DH yet! Boy: Grayson Girl: Madilynn! LOL! but those are the names I have picked out over the last 5 years lol!!!

Appt with new dr. went well... appt with fav doctor... blood pressure decided to be 17x/8x. Seriously? I mean seriously? Lame. Ooooh a 24 catch. The ladies at the lab have been taking bets on when I'd be back for one... I wonder who will have won. Grumble grumble grumble grumph. Samantha- I got lots of uncomfy growin' pains even early on... not uber hurt.. but definitely a man... something's growing in there! Leigh- I seriously cannot imagine what it is like to be so sick! Yeeek! Laura- Hope that appointment goes well! I'm always there with a list of questions too!

Laura, good luck with the appointment in March, and that you get all of your questions answered. Sam-Yes, I feel those odd pains almost daily. I worry every time, too, because it just feels so weird. And it's been almost 6 years since I've been pregnant, so I have no idea what's going on!! I read the pregnancy week-by-week on baby center baby gaga and the american pregnancy website. Oh and I love the names! We haven't really thought of any, maybe once we know the sex we'll start.... Oh Lauren, high BP?? Mine has been fairly low, like lower than normal, which is how it was with Tucker also...until 26 weeks when it went crazy. Good luck with the 24 hour catch, that is so awkward to bring in your big jug of urine!

Hi All, I have been away for a while, my cousin visited and kept me occupied . We dont have any family here in this country, so it was a blessing to have family here for a short duration. Cervix has been holding up fairly well i guess. the measurements are varying between 2.7 - 3.3. Hope it stays right there! I have been feeling all sorts of pain in and around the abdomen, i dont remember feeling all that last time...but then again, i dont remember much from the last pregnancy. Doc said its the body making room for growing baby. Last pregnancy all the problems started around the 19th week, so I am getting tensed by the day......... All the belly pics! So surprised to see them and so happy! I am 17w5d and I barely have a belly. I have gained 0 Pds so far despite eating like a lil piggy and my doc gave me some grief over it. I will post a pic tonight. Fun! OMG! I have started feeling the baby now and its really like bubbles! Its so amazing! I have my appointment today and hope all goes well. They are monitoring me weekly now till I reach 23weeks. DH and I cant come to a decision on should we find out if we are having a girl or boy...He wants to and I dont. So he suggested that he find out and he wont tell me. Really? Will that work? He would confuse the heck out of me purposely in the next 5 months and I think it might be fun . So many more preggo moms on the forum...... Its going to be a busy summer here! Congratulations all!

Lol! Leigh, try carrying the jug and the hat through the airport! Yeah! Thank goodness our island has a plastic bag ban and I had my MOD reusable from SU with me and could put it all in there since the bag they gave me was see through! Sanj- Glad to hear things are going so well! I was talking with the u/s tech yesterday about that! She said when she tells only one, by the next appointment the other usually knows! Feeling those bubbles is so cool! BP finally back down to normal before bed... and so far today. I cannot believe it spiked like that! I was so surprised!

Lauren glad to hear the doc. appointment went good. on the HB. Glad it did go down. Praying it says down and doesn't go up again like that. Sam glad that the pain went away. I had a little pain too but it would go away. I still get some pain. Leigh hope the sickness isn't to bad and you can keep some food down. Sanj glad to see you back and everything is looking good for you. You will start to gain the weight. I have gained a pound a week it seems like since I got pregnant. I was up to 21 pounds at my 20 week appt. my goal was to gain 30 pounds looks like I will be going over that.

Okay, I am hoping that I remember to reply to everyone. Sanj, great to "see" you in here, good luck all summer with the pregnancy! Lauren, ok, you had to carry the urine jug in the airport??!! Quite a bit worse than my just carrying up the elevator, I didn't even think about that. Laura,
I hope things are still going well for you, Sam-let us know when you get in to see your OB. Ok, so I went for my 10 week appointment today, I heard the heartbeat again, in the 170s. The dr. added Reglan to my meds (already taking Zofran and Phenergan) to help the food move along, as right now it feels like it sits in my esophagus until I get queasy, then it comes right back up.... So I'll get that med tomorrow, the pharmacy didnt' have it. I waited about an hour to see my doc, wow, with the MFM and OB appointments, I will be spending a lot of time in waiting rooms! We already see lots of drs with Tucker, but we always bring snacks, toys, and movies for his portable DVD player with him....I don't think they let adults do all that. Just have to say....hearing the heartbeat again...I'm hooked!

Samantha- Love the reframe on yakin' on the driveway! Glad you got in for an appointment so soon and that everything went smooth! Leigh- After 20 weeks... 300 and 140/90 (either one the 140 or 90 twice in 6 hours) wins you a diagnosis of Pre-E. Since my baseline protein was already elevated 300 won't be my number, it will be a "significant rise" from my baseline and each time my MFM says that he rolls his eyes because he says it's the most ridiculous non descript term. Totally stinks, though I'm trying to keep it all in perspective, I just really naively thought that 3rd time would really be a charm and that we'd have all this extra monitoring again and it would all be for not because it would be picture perfect. So I think I'm feeling a lil' farther knocked down than I should. They're guessing that somewhere I have some underlying chronic hypertension that pregnancy exacerbates... of course high BP would be the only complication I never dealt with in Akeelah's pregnancy!

Samantha hope your not sick all day. So I'm 24 weeks now and 2 days. I was 24 weeks if I remember corectly when I started to have contractions with Jamez. I didn't know they were contractions I just thought he was streaching and pushing out hard on me. I have found myself pushing on my belly if it gets just a little tight b.c. I have to pee or Kai is just moving. I hope that I can over come this and not have to make sure there is still a little bit of a wiggle to my belly before freaking out that it may be a contraction. Ugh I don't like the feeling of having to figure it out.
Kai has been more active now that I'm 24 weeks. He's not up all night like he was. He would sleep all day then wake up when I would make dinner and stay up till like 11 or 12 then he would wake up in the middle of the night too. I'm learning his schedule more each day. It's so nice to see my stomach move now. Just 16 weeks to go! I'm going to try and get pictures of my stomach this week or weekend and share. I'm trying to let the bruses go away some. I brused twice from the injections hopefully I won't continue to bruse. Thanks for listening. Just have a lot on my mind and need to get some out. Laura

Lauren I heard something one time when dr were worried about my BP 7 years ago with Jadon, a family friend told me the bath in epsonsalt (not sure if thats spelt right) but the magnesium in it is suppose to help. Not sure if its an old wise tail or not but figured Id pass it along. Hope they figure stuff out soon! <3 ya!

Hope it flies by... or that you at least find ways to enjoy the days. That wives tale actually makes sense... when you go into labor/induced with pre e they give you mag to keep your pressure down and to keep you from having a stroke.. cause ya know... that would suck. Except for one spike today that went away quickly pressures are back to normal. Hopefully thats where they stay and no meds will be needed! feelin hopeful again.

Today I have not had any symptoms and its making me nuts, not that I enjoy hugging the toliet but at least I felt like things were on the right track. Today nothing, THink I need a padded cell before this week is over, Just want this all to go as planned and not have it all to good to be true! Cant wait to get my bloodwork done! <3 you all!
YAY for only one spike, thats on thing Im worried about, I had preE with Trinity but they think it was my bodys way of telling me something was wrong, I had one spike in my BP one time with Jadon but never again! Im worried because I dont know what all they can do to keep it under control. Ugh the next 35 weeks are going to be crazy!

Laura,
So sorry about the bruising I hope that it goes away and that the injections don't cause more bruising. I have to admit that the little "stretching" I feel in my uterus every once in a while freaks me out. I know that my uterus is growing a lot, so it's normal to feel it. I think I will just be so confused when much later on I feel contractions, as I never had a contraction with Tucker. They took him via c-section and I wasn't even in labor, so I have no idea what a contraction feels like, sorry! I can't wait until I can feel this little one moving around! I guess I have about 10 weeks to wait for that?? Sounds like an eternity! Lauren, ok, thanks for all of the number information. I am so glad that your bp stayed down for you. That is odd that Pre-E is the only complication you didn't have with Akeelah, and now you are scared of dealing with it again after Micah. I just realized (well I had a hunch, but I found out for sure) that I only get to use whatever sick leave I have saved up for maternity leave. Other than that, I get leave without pay. Well, with all of the dr visits, I will be down to maybe one week of leave left by September. We will deal with it as it comes, but now I am really praying for no bedrest as that would totally throw off my leave time. Samantha-I don't know what to tell you about the morning sickness, so many women have said that they appreciate it bc it reminds them they are pregnant. I would personally rather buy one of those heartbeat monitors and check it once a day, much better than throwing up for a reminder!! My current mix of Zofran 3 times a day, Phenergan at night, and Reglan twice a day is making me feel semi-human finally. But the absolute best medicine is sleeping 20+ hours a day....the weekdays are much worse because I get way less sleep....too bad DH is working 7 days a week, poor Tucker is bored to tears on the weekends with his sleepy mommy!
