Mom to Tucker (27 weeker, 05/26/06) |
|
|
Oh Lauren, she is beautiful!!! Yeah, I've heard several stories of women whose pre-e hangs on after delivery Sorry that you are one of them! Have they let you go home from the hospital? What about Miss M? What does Micah think of her?? Lindsay, Tucker is very excited! But it is because he is ready to have someone smaller than him to boss around He loves babies, he sees them at the mall, dr office, etc., and wants to run up and hold them and instruct the mother "feed him! change him!" We bought Easton a few little bittie outfits, and Tucker says "pashamas for Baby Eaton" lol We ask him "what does the baby say?" and he says "wah! wah!" in a very soft high pitched voice....he is in for a rough reality check when the baby is louder than that So we'll see how it all goes, Tucker is definitely used to being the only prince in the castle! Saw the OB today, BP was perfect, sat through the one hour glucose screen, get to go back in two weeks for a growth scan and the start of biweekly appointments....such an odd feeling!!

Aww Samantha those kicks are so awesome. I miss them already especially when I see Makaela kick and think... aw I totally know what that feels like... especially since she should still be inside. Today probably would have been her birthday.

I'm giddy. I'll be calling the doctor's office tomorrow to ask about changing my BP meds... like skipping a dose!! My morning BP is too LOW! Woo Hoo! It's still high by the end of the day, but morning... I just can't function with BP of 111/50! I'm hoping to maybe get down to one lunch time dose to get me through my evening highs... and then maybe none!!

Lauren Makaela is so pretty. I bet your are enjoying every min. with her. I know that I can't get enough of Kai. Glad to hear that your BP is coming down. Well at least in the morning. Samantha feeling the kicks are the best feeling a mother could feel. I would just watch Kai moving and think so that is what you were doing in there. Leigh I hope that your BP stays on the some what normal range. No going up. Tucker sounds like he will be a big helper letting you know what the baby needs. He will be a great big brother. Keep the babies cooking. I can't believe it's been 4 weeks since I had Kai. He's getting so big and I was finally able to add a picture to my blog. Hope everyone has a great Friday and Weekend.

Had a day of high BP yesterday. Called Dr and they had me come in BP was back to normal by the time I left and no protein in urine! I was able to go home after a few hours, now that we are flying by milestone that have haunted me.throughout this pregnancy. Now my fear goes to my Bp. I feel like there is constant fear somewhere. I'm enjoying the kicks.

Samantha- That's an awesome milestone! Sorry to hear about the BP spike, it's a double edged sword to be scared of high BP since it always seems to scoot those numbers up! Always frustrated me. I'm hopeful those numbers will behave!
I forget how much newborns sleep!

Samantha - It's so cool to pass those milestones, isn't it? So happy for you! Lauren - I agree with Tracy. I used to try so hard to get Kimmie and Matt to nap at the same time so I could lay down... didn't happen often but when it did - Heaven!! Laura - He's already a month old?!? No Way!

Almost 2 weeks PP... blood pressue was getting better... now it sucks again. Had an appt with our ob to follow up/bp check... gonna go back to twice a day meds when its bad. She did say it can take a full 6 weeks to get back to normal... so hopefully! There will be another 24 in my future and I'll follow up with the oahu doc for the placenta pathology report... then back with her

Hi everyone,
Lauren so sorry that your BP is still high!
Sam I hope you feel better soon, days where the baby moves a lot are the best days, tomorrow I'll be 30 weeks and I still have days where there is inconsistent movement. It's hard I know!
I have an OB appt with ultra sound scheduled for next Tuesday I'll be 30 weeks 5 days so I'm hoping baby has grown a lot since the 24 week US.
Pics of the babies are beautiful! I checked your blog Laura.

Is it past midnight? Then I'm 6 weeks as of now. So glad I haven't had any spotting, had spotting one day each month for 3 months with James (on day I would have gotten period). It didn't bother me then, but looking back maybe it was a symptom of the placenta issue. So happy nothing pink so far. Wish I had drs appointment already, but don't get my 1st Ob visit for another week & a half. I'm already anxious/stressed about post-partum, that was the physically worst part of pregnancy before and I am scared to have to experience that again. I can't imagine feeling that horrible AND needing to care for an infant. I called a postpartum dula service this week, and they helped me calm down a bit, think I'll hire them for their emotional & physical support, less anxious to know I can have an experienced dula at my house those first few days/weeks after birth/surgery when I know I'll feel awful. Obviously this is good that I'm of positive mind-set enough to think I'll need to worry about post-partum & baby at home Anyone else terrified of feeling as awful as they did previously?

Natalie- Yay for 6 weeks! It's hard waiting for that first appointment. I think calling and setting yourself up for support PP was an awesome idea- whatever makes this journey a lil' easier! I think one thing to remember is that each pregnancy is different- which can be a source of comfort and anxiety of course! What was difficult with James' pregnancy might be the easiest part of this one, it's so hard to predict. Jessica- Glad to see from the cafe that it was a no whammy appointment!

Natalie - The good news is that your drs will watch you much closer this time around and you'll be much more aware of what is going on with your body. The bad news? The stress is difficult. But I found that having people to talk to on Share helped me immensely in my 2nd pregnancy. I, honestly, don't know how I would have gotten through it without ladies who understood to keep me sane. I'm wishing you a long, uneventful pregnancy!

Natalie: Congrats let me tell you it is stressful but again every pregnancy is diffrent and so far this pregnancy.has been very unlike my last. Talk.to your Dr and have a plan and don't worry we will be right here cheering you on!!
25 weeks 3 days wow I can't believe I'm here. Loving the constant reminder that lil man is tucked safe inside. Think he turns into a Mexican jumping bean in the middle of the night. Have a feeling its gonna take time to get him on a regular schedule. So my bestie want to throw me a baby shower and I'm excited and nervous. I hate being the center of attention so I have asked to make it short and sweet since I'm sure emotions will be running high. I'm having fun helping plan and its all starting to feel more real!!! I can't wait to see you all at su I so can't wait!
