Ugh preggo hormones full force all.I want to do.is cry... I'm starving yet nothing sound good and I don't keep most of it down anyways, I'm tired, uncomfortable, and sleep deprived and again all I want to.do.is cry and all DH wants to do is fish. Which leave me left home alone with Jadon and my niece while everyone else works and he fishes at night. Why can't I just curl.up.in my bed and sleep for the.next 13weeks???

FINALLY 1st appointment at the new Ob drs. (Changing practices to be at more advanced hospital with a NICU, the univ. hospital where James was born, for my peace of mind). I really liked this dr, very calming. I'm so excited!!!! We've got a heartbeat, and in the right location. My own little chicklet (about same size as the mini-chicklet gum). I thought 7wks 3days, but u/s says 7wks exact. I've been fretting about every possible bad thing that could be (eptopic, molar, did that little pressure / little cramp mean I'm about to mis-carry...). None of that, just a strong little heartbeat. The dr had never heard of the rare placenta thing I had before. I didn't bring a copy of the placenta path. report with me. I'll bring it to future appointments. I told him not to worry that he wasn't familar, it was so rare none of the 5 MFM's had ever seen a case. Lets hope none of that stuff matters this time around. Also relieved that he felt waiting 3+ months was totally fine. I'd recieved conflicting suggestions of 3 months, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year from four different Obs and MFMs... He said, "after 3 months your recovered from surgery, after 6 months you aren't going to get any better, so why wait?" I like that logic! So glad there's a heartbeat.

Leigh- She's a 4 weeks tomorrow That's insane to me! Still a sleepy head, but becoming more wakeful. Laura- Thanks, and how is Mr. Kai doing? Samantha- It's so strange to want it to last forever and then just be over too. It really seems like it was just yesterday you and Leigh were announcing! Natalie- I'm glad you found a doctor you like- that makes such a big difference. I'm curious, what was the placenta condition you had with James? Never know, there might be another Share momma on with the same. May all your appointments be filled with the same good news as today!

Placenta Membranacea (partial), I'm glad we got to meet James, ~50% result in stillbirth, also relieved I didn't have acreta with it. There are 40 cases in literature (occurs ~1 in 40,000 pg), if the resident gets my case written up we'll be literature #41. Being a scientist I'd like this in the literature for James. If this sounds familar to anyone let me know! Good good news, not known to repeat.

Natalie,
that is great news about it not being known to repeat. Let us know if James's story does get into the literature, I agree with Lauren, what a ripple that would be. Congrats Sam! So today I am 32 weeks pregnant, weirdest feeling of shock!! I contacted a local photographer who takes the most amazing newborn photos, I just emailed her to ask her about her prices, etc. Well she said if Easton is born Sept 21 then she'd like him in the studio on Sept 25 to take "just born" pics....aaaahhhh! Somehow getting pics taken seems even more real than having the c-section date set in stone. Kind of crazy, haha It's like I expect things to go okay, that he would be born on a Friday and do well enough to be home in time for a photo session on a Tuesday...so bizarre! I cry every day now, happy and sad tears, the smallest things set me off....DH is so confused, lol! My ankles also resemble tree trunks, you can't even see any bones in my lower legs...not pretty. I see the OB next Tuesday for the 32 week appt, wish me luck. Leigh

Hello Mommies... Just wanted to stop by and share my good news w/you all. Had my U/S this morning and everything is great. Only one baby (thank the Lord) and strong heartbeat. I'm a week further then they calculated. I'm 10w 3days. My EDD is 2/25/2013. We are super excited things are looking good. We've not told the kids yet or family. Still trying to figure out how to tell everyone at one time. Hoping they will be as excited as we are!
Glad everyone is doing good and talk w/you all soon! Jill

Leigh- You are just chuggin' along! I hope the appointment goes well.. I don't like hearing how much swelling you're dealing with, but I also forget how hot and humid it is where you are... I can't even imagine! And big hugs on the crying- gotta love pregnancy hormones on top of everything else you're managing. The photography does make it seems so real!! Seriously September seems like a week away!! Samantha- It's so awesome to hear!! I very much appreciated being able to walk my entire pregnancy, not as much after 25 weeks for us... but still!! Pregnant and upright ROCKS! Jill- I'm thankful it was a good appointment! May they keep on coming. Let me know if and when you'd like me to add you to the expecting list. And have fun sharing the news with folks! Some people do it so creatively, we just blurted it out. Miss Makaela is 4 weeks old today! By our scale 7lbs 8oz already! She looks HUGE to me already!

Wow Mommas... I just got a notice from our health insurance today... that measure for Women's Health that just went into effect... covers boob pumps!
Something to check out. If I were to purchase a boob pump from the list my insurance gave (which is basically every pharmacy in our area), it would be covered! That's so cool! Too bad I already have my $300 Medela from Micah's baby time!

Looking into pumps myself and can't decide on one they just cost so much and I worry about spending the money because I didn't produce on one side with Jadon. It jusy would never come out even with the pump we had then. Maybe ill wait till Jaxson gets here and decide of I need one then!

Well that's great about the pumps being covered. So I guess you buy it then get reimbursed? I am going to try to breast feed Easton so we'll see how that goes. I never had any milk for Tucker really. We are teaching Tucker that babies drink bottles, so we'll see what Tucker thinks about his brother breast feeding We passed a huge milestone this weekend. Tucker was delivered at the local big hospital where everyone is delivered, people come from other states to have their babies there. It opened in 1967, they have really outgrown the old building, and they have been building a new campus for years. We had always half-joked that DH and I wouldn't have another baby until that new hospital was built because we spent way too long in the old one with Tucker...well the new one just opened this Sunday! So now it's official, Easton will be born in the new (very nice) hospital, hopefully he still waits about 6 more weeks! I was very scared that Easton would be born at the old hospital, be in the NICU, and have to be transported to the new hospital's NICU, but we missed that thank goodness. 31 weeks, 5 days today, seeing my OB this afternoon. Leigh- That's a huge milestone! And seriously, a new hospital? That's going to be like delivering at a fancy hotel! I can't wait to hear about the expression on Tucker's face when he finds out how "loose" the term bottle is! Mommy is a bottle too!
Good luck at the appointments ladies! No whammies for ya both!

Well good to hear Sam! Not so much for me but I'm glad I'm the one with issues at 32 weeks vs you at 27!! We have been watching my BP creep up as well as swelling go up over the weekend. We've kept it quiet bc my sister graduated college and got engaged this weekend so can we please keep the focus off of me for once?? Sitting in the AC all day at work yesterday helped and last night my BP was at 124/84 so I was happy. So today I got to the new doctors offices 30 minutes early bc I was scared I'd get lost at the new place. So by the time I was called back I had been sitting for an hour and BP was still 136/90 took it again it went up so we went over my other lack of symptoms....no head aches no blurred vision etc, so I got blood drawn for another help panel have to start a 24 hour urine collection tonight and I moved to weekly appointments. On one hand I'm so happy that this bs didn't start weeks ago, by now Easton is well over 4 lbs. on the other hand, I don't grow strong babies, and even if he's born around 35 weeks he might do horrible....as we all know Tucker was not the typical 27 Weeker at all... We have been surprised by how long the pregnancy had been going well, and we've been talking about trying again one day for even a third baby (we come from big families) so all of this is just a lot. So we'll see how the tests all come back I have a lot to do to get Tucker ready for KG next Tuesday, I'd love to be with him for that, not on bed rest or in the hospital! Thanks y'all!

Leigh- Grumble!!! Did your BP not get the memo that I had been saying no whammies?! I'm hopeful that seeing 37 weeks is still totally possible. There's lots of room for intervention... BP meds.. keeping you in the freezer (aka a room with AC)... rest... all of which would totally stink to have to do since your pregnancy should be smooth sailing... but still options. And for what it's worth, my reframe is that you grow very strong babies! Given all the odds that Tucker has faced, that he has knocked them down in his own way is a testament to his strength and yours! This totally sucks momma and I wish ya didn't have any bumps whatsoever to deal with! May this be your one lil' bump!! Hey- Leigh's BP... Lauren here... I SAID... No Whammies!! Now shape up.
