Hope it flies by... or that you at least find ways to enjoy the days. That wives tale actually makes sense... when you go into labor/induced with pre e they give you mag to keep your pressure down and to keep you from having a stroke.. cause ya know... that would suck. Except for one spike today that went away quickly pressures are back to normal. Hopefully thats where they stay and no meds will be needed! feelin hopeful again.

Today I have not had any symptoms and its making me nuts, not that I enjoy hugging the toliet but at least I felt like things were on the right track. Today nothing, THink I need a padded cell before this week is over, Just want this all to go as planned and not have it all to good to be true! Cant wait to get my bloodwork done! <3 you all!
YAY for only one spike, thats on thing Im worried about, I had preE with Trinity but they think it was my bodys way of telling me something was wrong, I had one spike in my BP one time with Jadon but never again! Im worried because I dont know what all they can do to keep it under control. Ugh the next 35 weeks are going to be crazy!

Mom to Tucker (27 weeker, 05/26/06) |

Laura,
So sorry about the bruising I hope that it goes away and that the injections don't cause more bruising. I have to admit that the little "stretching" I feel in my uterus every once in a while freaks me out. I know that my uterus is growing a lot, so it's normal to feel it. I think I will just be so confused when much later on I feel contractions, as I never had a contraction with Tucker. They took him via c-section and I wasn't even in labor, so I have no idea what a contraction feels like, sorry! I can't wait until I can feel this little one moving around! I guess I have about 10 weeks to wait for that?? Sounds like an eternity! Lauren, ok, thanks for all of the number information. I am so glad that your bp stayed down for you. That is odd that Pre-E is the only complication you didn't have with Akeelah, and now you are scared of dealing with it again after Micah. I just realized (well I had a hunch, but I found out for sure) that I only get to use whatever sick leave I have saved up for maternity leave. Other than that, I get leave without pay. Well, with all of the dr visits, I will be down to maybe one week of leave left by September. We will deal with it as it comes, but now I am really praying for no bedrest as that would totally throw off my leave time. Samantha-I don't know what to tell you about the morning sickness, so many women have said that they appreciate it bc it reminds them they are pregnant. I would personally rather buy one of those heartbeat monitors and check it once a day, much better than throwing up for a reminder!! My current mix of Zofran 3 times a day, Phenergan at night, and Reglan twice a day is making me feel semi-human finally. But the absolute best medicine is sleeping 20+ hours a day....the weekdays are much worse because I get way less sleep....too bad DH is working 7 days a week, poor Tucker is bored to tears on the weekends with his sleepy mommy!

Its a boy! Another boy! Wowza! I finally wheedled it out of my husband , I couldnt resist! We had our appointment today to measure the cervix and it measured at 3 again. Very happy, just someone tell it to stay at 3. Reading about nausea........... i never had it but i like others hoped that I would throw up just so I know and feel pregnant everyday. How are you feeling today Samantha? Hope nausea will pack its bags and leave soon. Laura - Look forward to you pics! I hope the bruising stops and goes away. We just moved into a home so our camera needs to be charged and ahmmnn charger is MIA. Its gotta be in some box somewhere. DH cant remember and I am not supposed to be poking around in boxes and the boxes are scattered through the house. Lauren - I am glad your BP is staying down, i hope it stays that way. Hope everyone has a good week! Take care and keep cooking!

Sanj ya for a boy one more for the Blue team Prayers that you stay at 3. Sam Yay for the number for your levels. Prayers still comming your way. Lauren I hope you BP is staying down and not going up. Today I had my 24 week appointment. I was nervous b.c. I wasn't seeing my doctor. She was out of town. I saw a different doctor. They have 2 clinics in the same clinic. One side is regular and the other is highrisk. I'm on the highrisk side. Today I was on the regular side. I was in the same room as when I had my 6 week check while Jamez was still in the NICU. I didn't relize till I looked up and saw the pic on the celling and then I remembered. It wasn't that bad being in that room. The doctor was really nice and was able to answer all my questions. She even checked me. She said that I'm high and closed everything looks good. I feel really good. Measuring right on track. She also said I can walk in the March for Babies. Ours is March 24th. I'm excited I get to walk it. I probably won't be able to finish but it's okay if I don't finish it. It's a 8.6 mile walk with hills so it is a tough walk to do. There are a lot of stops along the way, with drinks and snacks. So I will do okay as long as I can. I still need to take a picture maybe I will get up and do that today. No more brusing so far ya! Hope everyone has a Wonderful Wendnesday!

Leigh- Ugh about the leave! Does your work let your flex time at all so you can take an hour off work for an appt and then work an hour later that day? Laura- Awesome on a super cool appointment! Glad things are going well.. can't wait to see that belly pic! Samantha- Awesome numbers! Keep on climbin'! I look forward to tomorrow's update from your appointment! Sanj- I was wondering how long it would take you to get him to squeal! Congrats! And just for good measure... "Stay at a three!" We're 20 weeks... the "halfway" HAH! point. Funny. As I've been sitting here boppin' away online I've watched baby go from all the way on the left side of my belly to wham... all the way on the right. This is flying by! I'm so sad about that, this is our last and I'm wishing I could find more time? energy? willingness? to enjoy each moment.

Lauren: I so get that I want to enjoy it but afraid to get to attached to the idea Im pregnant again, although anyone who know me can tell that at a little over 6 weeks I clearly am preggo... thought Id be able to hide it but with Trinity I was the same way by 6 weeks I had a tummy! tomorrow I hope to see ONE little heartbeat (I say one cause we both have twin on each side of our family and being that Im already high risk I dont want to be HIGH HIGH risk with the added extra one) Anyways we do have an u/s at the local womens center. They do them for free for people for those who are unsure if they will keep their babies. Not a question here but heck Ill take the free u/s anyday! I hope to see the heartbeat and allow myself to breath and have Lauren add me to the list above. I really want my fairy tale ending. Today a friend gave me a crib, kinda a reality check in a way that yes I am pregnant. Well another reality check today was when I took my DH out for dinner for all the hardwork hes doing getting our house ready and at the end of the meal I had to run to the restroom, EMBARASSING!!! So we may be doing takeout from here on out. Anyways praying for all you ladies here hoping we all get that fairy tale ending!

Think the reality that I am preggo is sinking in now, well that and since hitting 6 weeks the morning sickness is kicked in a little more. I didnt sleep well last night and the bloodlab called me at 6:30 am to tell me they missed a test last week. 6:30am are you kidding was up most of the night sick to my stomach or peeing, finally feel asleep and stayed asleep at like 4am just to be woke up at 6:30am on phone call that probably could have waited till at least 8am! Ugh so I may have to go back to the blood lab for another test, I also found out they screwed up my HCG test and now have to wait to have those test result untill they rerun those tests. Ugh, how hard is it to read those sheets, each box was clearly checked, I probably wouldnt mind if I didnt have to wait over 2 hours the first time.
And the fun begins!

Mom to Tucker (27 weeker, 05/26/06) |
|
|
Sam, Yay for the heartbeat and ultrasound!!! Laura, thanks for posting pics!! Cute belly!! Lauren, so sorry that you're feeling sad that you're "halfway" through your last pregnancy. DH has said several times that this is our last, lol, we just aren't doing so well, but we are both from big families and we certainly do love babies About the flex time-yes, my job is fantastic about that....most of my job can be done online through email and spreadsheets....they are great about when I have to take off time for Tucker's appointments....the issue is that so far, I barely have the energy to get through half of the day. So if I leave early for an appointment, there is just no way that I'm getting on the computer at home to catch up on anything. So I have to take the sick time, it just isn't fair not to. Like with the asthma, I barely got out of bed all Friday and Monday, so I took the full days. I am working a few Saturdays coming up for outreach events (I work for a science grant), so if I'm sick during those weeks I won't have to take sick time. I hope you are all doing well! Leigh

and the shoe drops, Drs just called numbers arent doing what there suppose to be doing I go back in tomorrow morning for another round of bloodwork, praying this is all a mistake since the lab screwed up a few things and the blood sample sat for 6 days before the test was run, trying to hold onto hope but slowly losing it!

only when your pregnant do you eat something just so when you do get sick there is something there! Ugh! Tonight has been the worst night yet.
Also started the progesterone yesterday and its been so much fun! (not really)
But if this is what it take to get a healthy, full term baby I will do it!!!
hope this morning sickness that seems to only happen at night goes away soon and I can really enjoy this pregnancy!
