Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Samantha: Woohoo for being almost to your first mini goal!!

Lorena: Haha! There's only fingerpainting sometimes. She said a lot of it is sensory type stuff like a water table or cottonballs to play in and stuff like that when they're so little!

Liz: Yay for gaining some of those ounces back! Looks like a fun day!

We went to music class....I may try the older one next week that is supposed to be for 14-something month olds, I think the 6-13 month old one was too boring for him, he wasn't interested at all and I don't blame him because it wasn't all that great! I figure challenge him rather than bore him might be the idea.

I called the nurse, 48 hours post starting antibiotics and we've still got a fever and his night wakeups are getting worse (three times last night!). I know it usually takes 2-3 days for them to start working, but I'm worried he's already resistant to the bactrim since it took just once for the ear bug to be resistant to omnicef. I played the wait it out game for a week last time and was right that it wasn't working then, wish I had gone in sooner.

Donna S - Mar 8, 2012 11:08 pm (#63 Total: 253)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Lorena - glad the Bar audience went well. Ouch on the shoes though. I'm going to the Zoo tomorrow with Ethan's class. Thankfully I don't have to ride on the bus though. Been there, done that, and had the two-day headache to prove it!

Liz - Love the Children's Museums. Fabulous. Go you with the advanced class!!

Stacy- Boo! Hiss!! Poor baby boy can't catch a break.

Samantha - Yep, Oriental Trading is one of the first places I go when working on one of the kid's parties. My amazing nephew blew up my FB page with ideas yesterday. It's coming together! I always say I'm not going to go overboard, and then end up doing just that. Pretty sure I'm compensating with Ethan since he doesn't have a huge amount of friends he's inviting, and because it's been a rough year. Yahoooooooo for six weeks!! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Report cards came home today. So proud of my babies. All three rocked it. Okay, so Ethan has some stuff (not academic) but it's all stuff we're working on and is to be expected. Taking them out to dinner to celebrate.

Angel Love - Mar 9, 2012 1:48 am (#64 Total: 253)

Donna~ Have you tried Pinterest? If there are ideas out there, then they'll be posted there!! Woohoo on great report cards!!!

Lorena~ Glad the meeting went well. Maybe if you leave the lights off, the neighbors won't know you're at home!! LOL!

Liz~ Gray hairs = character?????? I like that!! I'm seeing character popping out all over my head lately!!

Stacy~ Boo on Elim's ears!!! My nephew had ear issues constantly it seemed, and they went with tubes and he was SO much better afterwards!!! Hopefully it won't come down to that with Elim.

Today is definately an early to bed kinda night! It's been a LONG day!!!!!!!

Oh Erin!!! I'm so jealous!!!! By the way....I saw on the news the other night that a fan of the Pirates was enjoying a day at spring training when she went into labor!!! Yeah!!! She ended up naming the little guy after the field that the team was playing at.

Ya'll must've found some fun for today! There is only one post to catch up on.

I can honestly say that I'm more than happy that it's FRIDAY!!! I've had a rough week and the stressed out administrators make walking on eggshells a reality. Nobody means to be snappy, but it happens and therefore the weeks seems loooonnnnnggggg!

Hope all the little ones are feeling better and the weather allows for some time outside in the fresh air! We were pretty rainy most of the day, but this afternoon brought us sunshine!!

Don't forget to SPRING FORWARD with your clocks this weekend!

Arnara - Mar 9, 2012 10:38 pm (#67 Total: 253)

Erin: Lovely pictures!!!! The girls look like having fun and so you.....wow wild tan girl........ enjoy!

Tracy: Sorry for that rough week, hope you enjoy and rest this WE.... how is going your training...... everytime I see ppl walking around I think of you......

ok next week is test week, urghh...... I am already stressed out..... just to think about it...... S problem is that he just reads the first few words of the questions and answer, specially if it is multiple choice, and sometimes at the end of the questions they have tricky words..... and then he got them wrong, I have explained and explained to him is not a horse race, but it is so frustrating, and me not being there to slow him down....... just 4:30 pm here, too early for a glass of wine? ( or a bottle..... ).

Happy Weekend, specially to Lauren and Ellen, enjoy your vacations........ oh Samantha how it went with your Dr???

Lorena

stacyat - Mar 10, 2012 2:30 am (#68 Total: 253)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Donna: Awesome that you've gotten some good ideas for Ethan's party! I went totally overboard too, it was fun! Congrats to all the kids on fabulous report cards!!

Tracy: All rested up? Elim woke up twice last night but slept in so I was able to finally get caught up a little! Ugh, any idea when they'll come out with who stays and who goes to end it?

Erin: Aww, looks like you're having a blast!!

Lorena: Just wait a half hour, at 5 pm you're good to go with a glass of wine! Ever heard that song it's 5 o'clock somewhere? At least I think that's the name....

The nurse called back and the pediatrician agreed he's probably resistant to the bactrim so she gave me the option of trying Suprax or bringing him in for a shot. I chose the suprax, I didn't feel like driving up there. If that doesn't work I bring him in Monday for a shot. I've scheduled an appointment on Friday with the pediatrician to check his ears before my road trip up to Illinois (and flight back), want to make sure his ears are pristine before the plane ride. Also going to request her to put in a referral to the ENT so if(when) he gets another ear infection insurance will have processed it so we can just go ahead and schedule an appointment.

stacyat - Mar 10, 2012 6:20 pm (#69 Total: 253)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

What's everyone up to this weekend? Charles and I are going out to a movie and then dinner while my parents watch Elim for us! Tomorrow is church and then I'm not sure what.

Arnara - Mar 10, 2012 6:46 pm (#70 Total: 253)

Stacy: that sounds like a great WE, what movie are you going to watch? why kids have to get sick on We when there is no Dr. or nurse.....hope Elim is better

Donna: I forgot to congratulated you for your kids cards, I can imagine how proud you must feel....so how was dinner out?? Where did you went???

I have no plans, this is going to be a long, long weekend studying with S for his unit exams this week....... ..... Math and Social Studies are getting little hard, there are things in Math I don't remember and Social Studies he has to memorize a lot of things, like capital of countries, currencies, and some other words......

So it is going to be a boring long WE............ by the way I don't drink alone, not at home, so the wine thing was just a joke......

hope everyone has a great WE
Lorena

Heartbroken

Well, everyone went home from the card party about an hour ago. On Wed I had 20 people RSVP'ed. Today 5, yes 5, actually showed up. Part of me is very angry and hurt and the other part is just glad it's over. I did a ton of work getting ready and I could have just left everything as it was - we all fit around my dining room table

The good news is we are $130 closer to our goal. We broke $500 today, which is good.

TripletMommy06 - Mar 10, 2012 7:33 pm (#72 Total: 253)

Erin Love the pictures! Looks like fun!

Very excited about SU this year I guess everyone will be planning trips with the family around it!

Thinking of kate and Kyle and their family! I look at that sweet boys face every morning and remind my self Live life for today!

Angel Love - Mar 10, 2012 8:51 pm (#73 Total: 253)

Lorena~ My walking earned my 18 pts. last week!! I was the highest point earner for the team last week!! I rewarded myself by getting a pedicure last night with my friend and Ansley! Girls night out!!

Stacy~ Hopefully this med will help Elim's little ears get well before the trip.

As for the work related decisions, I don't have any idea! There is a work session, 2 public meetings, and a regular board meeting this week that we might hear something out of....we'll see.

There's nothing special planned for the weekend here.

Ansley had tennis this morning and did great! I'm so proud to watch her trying something new and giving it all she's got!!

I have a presentation for school due on Tuesday night so I guess the rest of the weekend will be spent working on that.....not all that fun, but one step closer to getting this degree.

Tracy - Yay, for a pedi! You deserve it girl! Hope ya'll get info. soon as to the job status. Hard to think about anything else. Hope it's soon . . .

Lorena - Hope you start charging folks/friends an hourly rate for your awesome legal advice:) Nothing like some cash on the side. You so nice to be doing that for them:)

Stacy - Sorry to hear about your little one. Geez, poor Elim. I hope movie night out was fun!

Liz - Stress plays a major role with the gray hair and hair loss as I am discovering. Urgh. Nice and Easy?

Dawn - I so agree:)

Jessica - Yum, meatballs!

Shannon - I'm sorry that the peeps who originally said they show failed to do so. I hope that you had a good time with those loyal 5 and raised more cash toward your MOD goal! You rock!

Donna - Congrats on those progress reports! Sounds like your party planning is going well too:) So much fun to celebrate!

We're on Spring Break! Well, I've been home since 2/13, but hubby and kids are on break. Road trip! Took the car in yesterday for road trip prep, oil change, rotate tires . . . nothing too major to worry about. We always wonder if this will be the drive where we have to call AAA?! I drive an older car. We both do. Home visit to qualify for services is tomorrow morning . . .

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Back from our trip! We found some sun in the midst of all the rain and had a great time... good appointments... no complaints!

Can't wait to catch up!

Angel Love - Mar 11, 2012 11:15 pm (#78 Total: 253)

Holy moly!! Life must have everyone busy this weekend!! I hope it's all good stuff!!!

Today, I rode with my sister to get her son some "boy equipment" for baseball. We had to take both boys with us (age 7 and 4)..... LOOK AT THAT FACE-----nothing fun about the trip. They were W-I-L-D and everything was too funny that makes for a difficult trip. By the time we were back in town, I was ready to get out of the car and walk.

Maybe that was because I missed that hour of sleep last night AND my nap!!!! Just maybe........

Arnara - Mar 11, 2012 11:29 pm (#79 Total: 253)

Lindsay; good luck with the home visit tomorrow.... I will be thinking and praying for you....... I know what you mean, since my car accident, I have been wondering to get a big car, suburban type, I love Tahoe, to feel safe....... Where are you guys going???

Jessica: that sounds like fun...... I like to cook meatballs..... hope you enjoy the visit.....

Lauren: Glad you had a nice trip and sunny..... and that your appointments were ok, I can picture you in my mind, traveling in plane, like that movie, the descendants......really you travel a lot on planes???

Shannon: so sorry that your guest were so rude and not coming, I read your blog.....all the preparations, though I hope you raise the money....at least they called to apologize???

Tracy: ugh riding in someone else car with their kids is no fun..... hope you could get your nap......great about that pedi, I urgently need one.....

So I should be studying with Stefano, he read on his own then told me to ask him, and he knew all the answers so we are "resting" that kid marvel me with his wonderful memory, hope he remembers in the test...... I am lazy..... I am bored in has been a boring long weekend.....I am super excited for my decoration class, we have to find different textiles and colors for decorating 3 different areas, we chose the colors and the fabrics, is like a palette and I am thinking my areas....... and I have been thinking to re decorate my patio area and garden and my family tv room, I am in love with blue, amazing all you can do with that color..... I was more like traditional neutral colors .... ok I go now......

oh miss V fell from her little bike, S and V were having fun, he was pushing her little bike, and she was happy, until he pushed her so hard and she fell, a big nasty bump on her forehead......

Happy Sunday everyone.....

Lorena

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Shannon- Shame on those folks who didn't come to the party! I wanted to go!!

Tracy- Oooh yeah... one less hour of sleep... that stinks... so do boys on trips they don't want to be on sounds like!

Lorena- This month yeah... I will have been on Oahu 1x each week for the past 3 weeks... then one off then back to Oahu again! So sorry about Miss V's lil' noggin' poor thing!

Lindsay- Hope tomorrow goes well... keep him up tonight if ya have to!

Lance and I teamed up and cleaned out the entire fridge... top to bottom... k and Micah helped too. Looks show room! Now to get some food to fill it up with!

stacyat - Mar 12, 2012 2:16 am (#81 Total: 253)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lorena: We went to see Wanderlust, it was pretty funny but there were quite a bit of nudity in it, one of the guys was a nudist.

Shannon: UGH!! That's just crappy of them to RSVP yes and then not show up! Totally disrespectful. I'd probably think about being snotty (because I know I'd never actually do it) and send out thank you cards to everyone that RSVP'd yes to say thank you for making the party such a success by their presence.

Dawn: We most definitely are! Charles will hopefully be back from deployment by then so it'll be a nice welcome back trip for us. I've got some family and friends out in Tampa too so we'll of course have to visit them.

Lindsay: Yay road trip! Hope that your meeting tomorrow goes well and that he shows all of his behaviors.

Lauren: Yay good appointments! Guess the no whammies worked? I did that a couple of weeks ago, it's a mess again, lol.

Elim is finally fever free! The antibiotics are eating at his stomach I think but at least they're attacking the ear infection!

Off to eat my girl scout cupcake mmmm....

liz loschinskey - Mar 12, 2012 1:41 pm (#82 Total: 253)

I love my kids!

Hi chicks.

Fun, fun weekend. Yesterday spent the whole day with Tori. Mommy/Tori time. It was WONDERFUL. Until she puked last night. Again, I felt like, everything I worked so hard for all day filling her up with fat filled foods....totally destroyed by the most obnoxious/loud burp followed by puke all over daddy's recliner.

Some lady at the mall called me a grandma yesterday. jcpenny's looking for Easter dresses....We are at the register with sunglasses and she looks at Tori and says..."Did you and grandma find a pretty dress today?" She was a definite grandma. Ithought to myself...Do I look like an effin grandma? My birthday is in 5 days, will I go from 35 to 65 overnight? Is my hair really that gray? Am I frumpy? Then a whole nother plura of emotions hit me in the car...I'm so fat, that's why she thought I was a gma, my clothes look like gma clothes, i have no make up on, i look like a gma, I have diabetes(I don't) like my gma, omg I'm going to die a young gma from being fat with diabetes, .......I will stop there because it only got worse.

A half hour into my berating, I look inthe rearview at Tori dancing to lady gaga "born this way" and everything was fine. I've never heard this song before, but listened to the words and felt so much better, because let's face it, I was born this way and I'm ok.

Lauren, glad your mini vaca and appointments went well.
Tracy, sorry about your little boy/mall experience.
Lindsay, how'd your inhome go today?
Stacy, YaY for no fever!!
Jessica, Fried meatballs sounds so good...yum!
Lorena, how was your test?

Sugar snaps, I can't remember anything else.

bbl...

Donna S - Mar 12, 2012 3:13 pm (#83 Total: 253)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Can't.....catch......up......That'll teach me to go missing for a few days!

Shannon - People didn't show up for your party? That stinks. So rude.

Stacy - Yay for fever-free!!!

Tracy- Taking boys anywhere..ugh. Good job on the walking!

Lorena - Good luck with testing week. I'll be thinking of you and S. Oh, we took the kids to their favorite Italian restaurant (Bruno's) to celebrate their report cards.

Liz - Hugs. You don't look like a grandma. And I love that song! Hope Tori is feeling better.

Jessica - Fried meatballs? Will you share that recipe, please?

Oy - Busy weekend, somewhat. Grace's basketball team lost by one point Saturday morning, but the last four minutes were so exciting! Ryley's baseball team won their first game 9-6 and for you non-fb'ers, HE HIT AN INSIDE THE PARK HOME RUN!!!!!! I'm still beaming with pride. He had such a good game. And then, crash, he woke up yesterday with an awful fever and headache. He was totally down all day. Fever broke during the night last night, but I have him home from school today just to be safe. He says he still has a bit of a headache. I did get to go shopping yesterday afternoon to get ready for our New Orleans trip this weekend. Yippee!!!

Angel Love - Mar 12, 2012 7:41 pm (#84 Total: 253)

Liz~ Really?? Gma???? Not hardly! If you look like a gma...what do I look like???

Donna~ Yay for R's great game!! (and thanks for thinking of us non-FBer's!!)

Today started off beautiful and the temps were great too.....then a nasty drizzle moved in. Not at all pleased with that! Messed up my walking schedule.

I tried doing a dvd that I just bought and thought I was dying. I will take breaks through a dvd if needed, but never turn them off, but this one.....I had to turn it off----I'll try again tomorrow.

lvazquez - Mar 12, 2012 8:45 pm (#85 Total: 253)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Tracy - Sorry for that long car trip with two roudy boys. We're so doing that tomorrow too, but I am used to it:) I hope that you were able to catch up on some much needed z's.

Donna - Congrats to R on the homerun! That's awesome!!!

Liz- No, you don't look like a grandma. I can't believe that lady said that! I'm glad that song came on when it did. Must have been really cute to see her grooving to the music:) I'm sorry that T got sick. Did you Febreeze the recliner? Always looking for more products to get out the nastiness.

Lauren - I'm so glad that your appointments have been uneventful. Are you racking up more frequent flyer miles?

Erin - Your girls are so cute! Looks like you are having a good time on the beach:)

Lorena - Glad to hear that S's studies are going well. I'm sorry for Miss V's bump on her forehead. Your decorating class sounds like it's coming along. I love hues of blues too - reminds me of Greek isles or Provence . . .

Okay, home visit today was just for DDD, not ALTCS. Huh? Our support coordinator didn't really explain well. So, anyway this one was no biggie and went well. Tristyn came out so say hello and then just kept running back and forth. So, I called over to ALTCS and we did a phone interview to cover the financial eligibility part. I'll get more paperwork soon and then finally, we schedule the home visit. Seriously, he'll be lucky if we can even start services by June. I'm so glad that we start Jumpstart tomorrow so that I can at least start there and connect with some other parents. There is a organization called Kids With Autism Can and there are free activities for families with kids on the spectrum. Hoping to connect with even more families ooon.

Tracy - Bummer on not getting your walk in. And at least you tried with the video.

Lindsay - Hrrrmmmmm......communication from coordinators is key. It is SUCH a long process.

stacyat - Mar 12, 2012 10:13 pm (#87 Total: 253)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Liz: I've got no idea what she was talking about because you didn't even look close to being grandma age to me when I saw you!

Donna: WOOHOO RYLEY!!! That's awesome! I hope he feels better soon, poor guy.

Tracy: Boo on the cold drizzle! Hopefully our nice weather will make it's way to you in the next day or so.

Lindsay: Glad that the visit went well! Ugh, always the hurry up and wait to get things.

Spoke too soon, Elim's fever is back, dangit! We go in on Wednesday unless it disappears between now and then. Could go in tomorrow but I want him seen by his doctor so we can make a plan instead of the other doctor. She's nice and all, just not his. He's also a little more cuddly today in between being irritable.

Donna S - Mar 12, 2012 10:19 pm (#88 Total: 253)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Stacy - Poor baby. He's not catching a break these days, is he? I'd rather see our doctor too when we have something going on. Wishing you both fever-free days.

Akeelah's Mommy - Mar 12, 2012 11:06 pm (#89 Total: 253)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Stacy- Egads! Poor lil' dude!

Lindsay- Urgh, nothin' like getting all prepped for one kind of meeting only to find it's another!

Donna- What a proud mommy moment! Go R!! He must have been on cloud 9 too!

Liz- That woman needs glasses.

Tracy- Reframe... drizzle makes for good nap weather?

Big news around here... Micah went doo doo in the potty all by himself! We were cruisin' doin' our own things and he came to tell me he made doo doo and sure enough he did! Big dude!
