A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

OMG Kate St. Clair?! I'll make a new cafe every day if it means I get to "see" ya more often around these parts!

xoxoxoxo

KHolley - Apr 4, 2012 7:00 pm (#7 Total: 259)

Kate-So good to see you on here!!!!!!!! Miss you to the moon and back!

Lorena-The gym was great, feeling a little sore, but it feels good! Good luck with your sister in law, I hope it all goes well!

Ellen-Good job on getting out of that one! I hate when they put you on the spot.

Enjoyed my day today, first day of Spring Break with both kids at school. Everyone is healthy (fingers crossed)!!! Got the cutest outfits at Old Navy, I love that store!!!

mrsmaxson - Apr 4, 2012 8:29 pm (#8 Total: 259)

Heartbroken

Ellen - I took my nephews to their book fair and stood in line for half an hour to buy their books! Thanks for volunteering so maybe the parents (aunties) at your school won't have to wait so long!

Lauren - Nice cafe! Hope you and Micah are enjoying time together before the little one arrives.

Lorena - Ah, sisters-in-law. I've come to an understanding with mine after 19 years with her brother, but it's really her eldest daughter that's brought us together. If I'm not nice, I can't see my niece. Come to think of it, that's how I got closer to my own sisters...

Kate - It is really nice to see you here!

Lindsay - I'm glad T is handling all the schools so well. Some kids do really well, I think, just getting in an environment where they feel like they fit. My nephew, who is now 11, went to developmental preschool and it did wonders for him. He's in regular ed now, but I think that being someplace where people "got" him was an important factor in him catching up.

I thought I could tell my students about Tristan and Gunnar today because of the M4B coming up, but I really almost lost it first period and ended up not talking to the other classes. I did have a nice convo with one of my students who I knew was a preemie later in the day and I was fine talking about the boys. IDK. I hope that my erratic emotions mean I'm pregnant and not just mentally unbalanced. You don't have to comment on that, really!

I love my kids!

Hi everyone!

Lauren, thank you for the cafe....I dig jelly beans!
Kate, so nice to see you here. Breath of fresh air!
Lorena, going to the beach is nice, SIL, not so. Good luck! Also, loved the pic of the procession. Awesome!
Lindsay, that's alot of school!
Shannon, it will get easier to tell the boys' stories. Thinking of you as always!

Me? Nothin' much...my dog stinks like tihs, T is actually napping, and I'm just sitting here. It's nice.

Katie: Old navy is my favorite store for Elim's clothes too!!

Sooo tired! I need a pickmeup. Or maybe a colorful drink. Either would work.

I love my kids!

Oooooh Lorena, pedi's. I love Pedi's!

Thanks to all of you lovelies who have been sick and passed your germs my way.

My throat is on fire, and in less than 24 hours it has attacked my head, including my ears....My ears never hurt. Tori's either got 2 yr molars coming in or has whatever I have. Clear snots, and miserable, so I can't tell. All I know, is we were up every hour or two-2 days in a row.

Busy weekend about to start with Lent ending. Today is school, Maundy(Holy)Thursday church, make Tori's Easter Bonnet(it's totally going to rock, very plain and petite), make eater eggs, and dye them--Today, I hope.
Good Friday = church and fish fry at church.
Saturday, dye Easter eggs at my dad's, then dinner and go see the Titantic 3D with my sisters--YaY!
Sunday-Easter.

I like staying busy. Anyone else watch the Today show about the woman claiming to be the 911 survivor and she wasn't even in the country? "The woman who wasn't there" Is the name of a book about her, they are promoting.

I love my kids!

ps-Why does that children's tylenol commercial make me tear up every time I see it?

The one with the mom's singing, you are my sunshine.

I'll tell you why, I made a deal with God within the first week of our NICU stay, I will sing this song to Tori, every day for the rest of her life! if you help me out. Then about 2-3 weeks later, I re evaluated the question and revised it to every day she's in the hospital. A more reasonable request...that I would actually do.

Something worked?!

Angel Love - Apr 5, 2012 2:53 pm (#16 Total: 259)

KATE ST. CLAIR!!! Love seeing you in the cafe!!!! HUGS to you and the family!!! Give Big and extra hug for me!

Lauren~ Love the new cafe'!!! I agree....I'll help you make new cafes if it means we get to "see" Kate more often!! (Love ya Kate....we know you're busy loving Kyle, Alex, and Jack for all of us!! )

Liz~ Sounds like the pollen has taken over your body! Our pollen didn't come in "rounds" this year, but it all came rushing at us at the same time!

Lindsay~ Kids make changes better than we do most times!! Parents around here are all in a "tizzy" about the school transition when if you make the best of it, the kids will do fine...it's the parents who hate change!!

Lorena~ Too funny on the autocorrect causing the posts to sound weird! I hope that the beach trip isn't as bad as you think.

My nephew's b-day is Saturday.....8 years old already!! The funny thing is that he's way more excited about being out of his booster seat than he is about the actual birthday itself!!! Party will be tomorrow.....that's when I'll get the "favorite aunt" award!! LOL!

liz loschinskey - Apr 5, 2012 4:11 pm (#17 Total: 259)

I love my kids!

T- Favorite Aunt Award!? I thought I was the only one who got those! HB to your nephew!

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lorena: Aww, a mother daughter pedi, sounds fun!

Liz: I hope you feel better soon! We're going to a Maundy Thursday dinner at church tonight! I'm making some apple kugel thing or something like that. Should be interesting...

Tracy: Haha! Too funny about him being more excited to be out of his booster seat than his actual birthday.

Ugh, no sleep last night. Elim decided it was party time for an hour or two, even nursing him didn't knock him out! I think I spied a little hole in his gum though where a tooth might be working it's way out. His ear looks fine, I checked myself since that's usually what's going on when he's up all night.

lvazquez - Apr 5, 2012 7:42 pm (#19 Total: 259)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Lorena - How cool! A mother/daughter pedi! So sweet:)

Tracy - I bet you're excited to give your nephew THE gift! Really nice:)

Stacy- Sorry for those restless nights. Been there, still there with Mr. T from time to time. Hope that toofer comes through soon. Onward to more foods . . .

Shannon - It's so difficult to talk about. I hope that you were able to collect yourself alright. It can be so awkward at times. I'm glad that you were able to have a chat with a former preemie and get more words out. It's okay. What weekend is your walk?

Kate - Good to see you!

Ellen - Yay, you were able to avoid the book fair responsibility! I know, the PTO is always looking for extra hands for this and that.

Liz - Hope you're feeling better. I know, I've got to get movin' on the basket fillers myself. Going to this afternoon. Got my coupons. Is it just me or is candy getting ridiculously expensive?!

liz loschinskey - Apr 6, 2012 12:15 pm (#20 Total: 259)

I love my kids!

Lindsay, my basket fillers for Tori are play-doh and accesories. Mike on the other hand with all reeses peanut butter crap was a pricey basket.

Stacy, how was your Maundy Dinner? We did a "stripping of the altar" last night in church. My husband said it was "moving"....it was neat.

Things are ok here.....everyone is sick. My throat is on fire. Like a flaming enferno.

Happy GoodFriday,
bbl...

Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Happy Passover and Good Friday.

Liz- Sorry everyone at your house is sick but glad that Church was nice. Hope they are better by Easter.

Lorena- A mother-daughter pedi sounds fun. Maybe we'll have to try one of those.

Tracy- I think your nephew is smart. I would want to get out of the booster seat too.

Abigail is getting excited for Easter (and yes candy is expensive) so it is fun. Only problem is Mom and Dad haven't even decided what to cook this year. I guess we'll decide in the grocery store.
What are y'all having and maybe I'll just still some ideas. I am leaning ham (easy) and DH is talking lamb chops etc. I guess he is cooking, I should let him go crazy?
Have a great day.

KHolley - Apr 6, 2012 5:36 pm (#22 Total: 259)

Ellen-If he is cooking, let him go crazy!!!

Liz-I hope you feel better soon.

Lorena-I love mother/daughter pedicures. It is so much fun!

We are going to a glow in the dark Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow night! The kids are so excited! Date night tonight, John and I are headed to see American Reunion!

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Just hoppin' in to wish everyone a Happy Passover and Easter! Can't wait to see pictures of everyone's festivities!

Jackie G - Apr 8, 2012 12:21 am (#25 Total: 259)

Mom to a 25 weeker who is now 8 years old and a 38.5 weeker who is now 6

Hey Everyone! Ok, first let me say, Lauren, that picture is totally making me crave jelly beans!

Wowo, it has been a crazy week. The kids both started softball/baseball and we have practice almost every day of the week. I'm exhuasted. And as MFB gets closer, work gets busier. Feel like I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

I really want to go to bed but somebody still has to get the kids to bed and hide the eggs. Think it's wrong to ask my Jewish husband to play the Easter bunny?!? LOL

Katie - Glow in the dark egg hunt??? That's sounds like so much fun!

Liz - hope everyone is feeling better soon. Stinks when everyone shares germs.

Ellen - I have almost given up cooking. Anytime I start something Brian comes in at the last minute and wants to add or change things. So I just make him do it now.

Lorena - Glad you got some girl time!

Stacy - Tell Elim he has to sleep so the Easter Bunny can come!

Shannon - You have my utmost respect for trying to share your story with your students. I know it can't be easy, but it's important for people to know why prematurity is bad and why we need to keep working to make sure it doesn't happen to other people.

Tracy - I haven't even mentioned to Kimmie about the booster seat even though she is 8. She's not tall enough yet, so I'm keeping her in it for a while longer. She's growing quick though so we'll see how much longer (She's grown 6 inches in the 9 months!)

Akeelah's Mommy - Apr 8, 2012 12:35 am (#26 Total: 259)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Sheesh Jackie! If you put one of those stop action cameras on her we could probably see her growing!

Shannon- Me too. You're amazing momma.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

I hope that your activities for today were special for your family and that you all had great weather for great pics! Our weather was gorgeous today, but you know me.....no downloads yet!

The answer to the question is YES---I AM THE FAVORITE AUNT!!! His face was priceless when he figured out what that gift was. My mom and sister took a pic of that moment. I'll try to get a pic to share.

Jackie~ That's a dirty trick about not letting her know about the booster, but if she's not tall enough, then I'll let you slide!

The last few days have been a blur.....birthday party.... actual birthday...dying eggs.....prep for today.....Easter service....egg hunt and cookout......NAP!

Thank goodness I have Mondays off after all that, I'll need time to recoup!

esgf - Apr 9, 2012 4:30 pm (#29 Total: 259)

Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Tracy- Congrats on being the coolest aunt. You have to take your moments when you can get them.

Jackie- We're going to have to do the same thing with Abigail. She is not going to make the height or recommended weight so she is stuck.

We had a great Easter and Patrick cooked a a rack of lamb with roasted potatoes and asparagus. Yummy. No leftovers so it was perfect. Abigail and I made some lemon bread (a tradition in my family) so we had fun. Abigail is figuring out that the rest of my family is together when we are not here and she struggled a bit yesterday but held it together and we went to The Lorax to distract her. All in all a successful day. End of the semester craziness here so I should go check on my students.

Jessica- I cannot believe the number of things you do. You are amazing.

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Jessica - Little House, such a fan as well! I always did want to challenge Rosie O'Donnell to Li'l House trivia when she had her first show. I bet those Rice Krispie treats were gone in a flash: Yummy!

Tracy - Glad to know that you are the fav Auntie! I bet his face was priceless! Watched a PBS special on Margaret Mitchell yesterday. Atlanta and Peachtree Street throughout. It made me think of you . . . and SU 2011. Kind of surprised to remember that some Southern belles still have yet to see that movie:(

Jackie/Ellen - My oldest is not quite tall/old enough to go w/out the booster, but he does requently ask me if he can sit in the front seat. Um no! He's so sad when I tell him he can't.

Liz - Hope it was nice weekend celebration for you:)

Donna - I was in Chandler on Saturday. Hope your drive back was okay. I'll have to get you on the next visit.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter. Easter #1 was on Saturday with my parents and then Easter #2 was at our house. What to do w/ ham slice leftovers? I already put it with scrambled eggs. I just don't want the rest. We have an interview, well hubby, has an interview with Telemundo this afternoon. I'm just going to be there w/the kids in the background. I don't speak Spanish well enough to do an interview (yet).

Angel Love - Apr 9, 2012 8:34 pm (#31 Total: 259)

Lindsay~ Awww.....thanks for thinking of me! Yes, there are some southern girls who haven't seen that movie, but it's definately one of my favorite.

Easter recouperations must be taking longer than expected! It's kind of quiet in here today!!

    Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Lindsay- I saw a recipe in Southern Living for some kind of Mac and Cheese with ham and their site probably has some other suggestions for what to do with ham left overs. My husband would probably say open faced sandwiches with mashed potatoes b/c that is what he likes to do with all left overs that cannot be turned into burritos.

It is awfully quiet if I can manage to stay caught up.
I stayed up working really late (for me; around 12) and could not drag myself out of bed this morning. Also they are doing construction on the lab next to me...so not inspirational. Oh well. Work must get done. Soccer started last night and Abigail was so happy. One of her best friends is on the team ( I hope that was a good move) and she is psyched for the season. So now we have four days out of seven with an activity. I might work up to Donna status soon but I think that is impossible with only one. Getting older is definitely more time consuming...
    Have a great day!
